Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 563: Fairness

Allison's expression turned sulky when she realized that she had once again made a fool of herself.

She didn't get angry at Xu Feng's remark, considering he was tutoring her about the Divine World.

What kind of tutor would care much about the person's feeling they were tutoring?

Of course, not all tutors would act in such a manner, but it was definitely not uncommon either. This was especially true when she could be said to have forced Xu Feng to become her tutor.

"I supposed I can't get the EXP buff at all then."Allison sighed softly. With the stream of players entering and exiting the tavern, she highly doubted she could even rent a room. Not to mention, she lacked money heavily.

Since she had just created her character, she only received 10 Copper Coins.

And she remained unaware of the Exchange Center because there were no tutorials or guides anywhere for beginners.

The Divine World was realistic which forced the players to study and learn everything themselves. No babysitting or even a direction on what to do.

Some of the quests were even more ridiculous for the players— to the point that they wouldn't know where to go exactly. After all, some of the locations the quest mentioned could be hidden or unavailable on the map.

"Who said you can't get the EXP buff?" Xu Feng suddenly chuckled and stopped teasing her. Your next journey awaits at My Virtual Library Empire

"Huh? But didn't you say only those who can rent a room can get it?" Confused, Allison was not comprehending his meaning. "Or are you trying to bully your way to forcefully snatch one?"

Having encountered Thunder Sword, she realized how lawless the Divine World was. Within the town or city, players might be restricted by the law, but what about the wilderness?

Allison wasn't naive enough to believe players would still be restricted by laws once they entered the monster field zone.

So with Xu Feng's level, it was honestly easy for him to bully others.

With that in mind, Allison suddenly became worried.

"Wait, what if many high-level players like you start returning to the town. Wouldn't it be over for us new players?" She expressed her concern. If numerous high-level players wanted to bully or oppress the newbies, then it would be disastrous for them.

Allison knew she didn't have to worry because she got Xu Feng as a safety charm, but what about the others?

"Your worries are reasonable because you didn't have much in-depth knowledge." Xu Feng mused and proceeded to explain that the high level can't possibly return to the beginner town unless they meet certain requirements.

To begin with, they must first obtain a high enough status and vouching from influential NPCs to even be able to access back to the beginner town.

Of course, there are also some exceptions such as if a player received a quest from a particular NPC and was required to return to them upon completion.

In that case, the players must reveal the proof of verification to the NPC guarding the Teleport Platform and inform them that they are doing a quest.

"Quite complicated but in simple terms… the high-level players can't just return to the beginner town, right?" Allison rubbed her chin softly and said.

Nodding in response, that was about the gist of it all.

"Then what method did you use to return here?" She pressed on, seemingly asking naively and innocently.

However, Xu Feng knew she was actually trying to gather intel from him.

'You really can't relax around her.' Xu Feng faked a cough and decided to brush the matter aside with another topic.

"Hmm, more players left the tavern. It's our turn to start getting the exp gain buff." He pointed at the tavern and hurriedly rushed toward it.

Gazing at his back, Allison pursed her lips and furrowed her brows.

'How cautious of him. I thought he would have spilled some secrets from that question.' Not disheartened that her question was ignored, Allison swiftly followed behind.

Since Xu Feng agreed to tutor her, then the minimum time she got was at least an hour. During that hour, she had to strive her best to obtain more valuable information.

And with that in mind, she entered the Tavern. Almost immediately, she was hit with a wave of a different atmosphere. A bunch of chattering and a feeling of her tension being relaxed overwhelmed her quickly.

'What's this feeling?' Startled slightly, Allison didn't expect an ordinary tavern could have such an effect.

"Over here, Eversoul!" Amidst her daze, she suddenly heard Xu Feng calling over for her.

As she snapped out of her daze, she glanced around her surroundings and was dumbfounded at where Xu Feng was.

"How did he even get a seat?" She murmured in disbelief, having spotted a few players still waiting in line for a table. Yet somehow, Xu Feng managed to get a table— a great one at that as well.

While walking her way to him, she overheard the conversation from some of the players on the line.

"What the hell was that player's deal anyway?"

"Yeah, why did the tavern owner personally come out and bring him to the table?"

"He even got that good table which was supposed to be my turn!"

"How is this even fair! I would have argued with the owner if I wasn't afraid of being blacklisted."

Stupefied, Allison arrived at the table and took a seat opposite him. "Did you skip the line?"

"Yes, I did." Extremely nonchalant, Xu Feng then handed her a menu. "If I didn't, then we would have to wait like those buffoons. And my time is very precious to be wasted on that."

As for fairness, he scorned such a term in general since fairness never truly existed.

You want things to be fair?

Simple, be influential or wealthy enough for fairness to deliver themselves to you.

Filled with disbelief, Allison was starting to find him more and more mysterious.

'Cool Wind… how come there is no data or information about him at all?' She browsed through the menu while wondering who Xu Feng was exactly.
