[THE HOSPITAL INCIDENT REPORT]

Filed by: investigator Jake Black

Date: 0X/0X/1XXX

Location: PaleWood General Hospital - The Capital of the Inner Layer

Incident Type: Massacre by the Dark Order - No Survivors

Suspected Motivation: assassination

Deceased: 10 medical staff, 3 security, 10 civilians (Press for more details about the victims)

SUMMARY:

At xx:xx Am, we received a help signal from PaleWood General Hospital. A soldier was sent immediately to help — but unfortunately, he was too late. He had found a big hole in the middle of the hospital filled with blood and organs of the victims, with decayed bones' ashes lingering in the air.

The suspected murderer is an elf that calls himself Cecil. He is a member of the Dark Order with an unknown Tier and position. He was confirmed to be an Exalted, with Darkness and blood as his affinities. He always turns his victims into a pool of blood and writes his name on a wall with the victims' blood — which he did in the hospital.

One of the victims was a new awakened Exalted with peak mana talent and illusion affinity. We suspect that he was their real target. Unfortunately, we couldn't find out how they knew about him.

3 years ago, in the famous mysterious event of the land of challenge, there was a human with the same name, darkness and blood affinity, and similar habits to Cecil. They seem to be the same person with the elf being a disguise. But nothing confirmed.

Pressing on the details, I saw photos for both Cecil's identities with their confirmed powers, suspected powers, and their crimes in detail.

I finally turned 18, getting permission to see everything about the incident that ended my mom's and grandma's lives.

I had 2 goals formerly, killing as many people as possible of the dark order and finding a way to stop the demon king.

But now! I added finding Cecil and torturing that bastard before feeding him to a bunch of rats to that list.

—Did you… finish reading it?

Aria's voice suddenly echoed in my head, carrying a hint of concern.

'Yeah…'

—Just ignore that for now. Someone will find him someday. That's not our job.

'I understand. Don't worry, I'm not interested in killing.'

Though I said that, my mind was playing different ways to torture Cecil. That wasn't my job now, but who knows about the future?

—Good! I'll wait for you in the academy then. Oh, and try to enter the top 10 in one ranking at least. It will help you quite a lot. I'll go now.

'Sure sis. Love you.'

I imagined pressing a mute button then I let out a breath.

'Damn! It feels too weird to stand like this and talk in my head…'

I shook my head and looked at the mirror. I was finally going to the academy, so I had to look majestic!

I stood on 1.85 meters, not too long but far away from short. I had short, pitch black hair with purple highlights running through it, white skin that was slightly pale, and I had made night terror cover my body as black clothes.

On my neck, I was wearing my necklace, the only artifact that my father left to me. And on my right hand, I was wearing a spatial ring to store my least important items.

And the most important part, I was incredibly handsome!

Not the type that has a feminine face, but a real handsome man!

*KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!*

Someone suddenly knocked on the door as if it was his enemy. Instead of answering, I teleported outside the house and stood before 2 figures.

They were Zephyr and Celestia.

My eyes landed sharply on Zephyr whose hand left some marks on the door.

"You will break that door again if you don't stop that crap!"

Clicking his tongue, he lowered his hand.

"It's not my fault that your door is just too weak..."

"That WEAK door can resist a tier 2 spell!" I yelled at him before sighing and calming myself. "Nevermind. Let's just go — I don't want to miss the ship."

Zephyr and Celestia nodded before following me.

After half an hour of running, we arrived at the metro station.

Upon arrival, we were met by a worker who was wearing a blue suit. He scanned me and my spatial rings quickly before asking:

"Where do you want to go, sir?"

Instead of answering, I showed him the academy's calling message.

He nodded and pointed in a direction. "Enter the spatial gate at the end of this passage, then take the train until you reach the last station."

"Thank you sir. And I will see you again someday, Alfred."

I thanked him and said farewell to Alfred who was watching us from somewhere, then I moved to the side to let the confused security guy scan Zephyr and Celestia too.

Zephyr suddenly took an emblem out of his pocket, then the worker bowed to him before letting him and Celestia pass.

He smirked at me secretly without Celestia noticing.

'Damn you! That's abuse of power!!'

Clicking my tongue, I moved to the end of the passage and entered the gate. In an instant, I found myself in front of a train with many people entering it.

I rushed at it immediately as Zephyr and Celestia followed, then the door closed and the train began to move.

After an hour, we arrived at the last station.

We entered another gate, then I was met with a wonderful scene.

'The sea in this world is really something else…'

I stood before a beautiful blue sea. It was glowing brightly even though the sun was still hanging in the sky. There was a huge port with numerous ships waiting there. Many elves were coming from Similar gates and headed toward the ships.

"The message said head to the largest blue ship. It must be that one." Celestia said as she pointed at an armored blue ship.

It was larger than all the other ships combined with many people protecting it, and was covered with visible cannons from inside and on the surface.

"Yeah… it's definitely that ship."

We moved to it until we were stopped by a man standing there.

He opened his bracelet and began to skim through many photos.

"Raylin Crimson, Zephyr Stormblade, and Celestia… right?"

We nodded to him then he started scanning us… including that bastard Zephyr!

'How does it feel to be a normal person, ha!'

After scanning us and taking our artifacts to make sure that there were no dangers — including the ones in my hidden storage— he handed each one of us a key.

"Stay in your rooms, don't even try to leave, and don't dare to use aura, mana, or whatever that aether is… you understand!"

"Yes sir!" We answered in unison before heading to the ship. On the surface, there were many elevators that led inside the ship. There were no buttons. It was the type that moved automatically.

The key was showing me the direction of my room, so after saying farewell to Zephyr and Celestia, I easily found my room on the fifth floor inside the ship.

Yeah it was that big. It probably had more than 30 floors inside of it. It was supposed to take all the people that reached 18 years old in the elven domain, including those who weren't living in the kingdom. So the size was normal.

I looked at the wooden door and opened it, then began to scan my room.

It was a simple small room. It had 3 beds, a door that led to a bathroom, and one to a kitchen. Unfortunately, it had no windows, but I didn't mind too much.

"Not bad. I expected worse than that."

With a satisfied smile on my face, I entered the room and fell on the bed, waiting for my roommates to arrive.

This journey would take a week, so I needed someone to talk with face to face if I didn't want to get bored.

"I hope they aren't boring people."
