Reincarnated as the Last Villain

Chapter 13: The Gods Decide

Part I – The Silent Sky

Location: Temple of Astrael, Realm Between Worlds

Kael knelt before the divine flame.

His hands were burned. His spirit dimmed. The Spear of Astrael lay across his lap, silent… cold.

He had expected the gods to speak.

To thank him for mercy.

But for three days, they said nothing.

Then, on the fourth day—the skies opened.

And they descended.

Part II – The Trial of Faith

Inside a golden chamber lit by starlight, Kael stood before the Seven Thrones—each one occupied by a god: beings of light, shadow, justice, flame, time, storm, and death.

The Voice of Astrael echoed across the hall:

"You were given power to end evil.Yet you spared the Final Villain."

Kael clenched his fists. "Killing him then would've made me no different."

The God of Justice leaned forward.

"Mercy for evil is betrayal of the innocent."

The God of Storms thundered:

"The spear chose you to destroy corruption. Instead, you let it fester."

Kael raised his voice.

"Zerath didn't win! I chose to end the cycle—without blood. Isn't that the point of being chosen?"

A long silence.

Then the God of Time spoke:

"No. The point is obedience."

Part III – The Shattering of Faith

Suddenly, the Spear trembled in Kael's hand.

The divine chains snapped.

It rose into the air—hovered between the gods—and with a final flash…

It vanished.

The gods had taken it back.

Kael fell to his knees.

"You can't do this…"

But they already had.

Part IV – The Beginning of Apostasy

Kael returned to the mortal realm.

Without the spear. Without their light.

He stood alone on the cliffside, wind cutting through his cloak.Templars no longer bowed. The Church no longer followed.

Only Vaenira remained.

"You lost everything," she said.

"No," Kael answered."I lost their favor. Now I'm free to do this my way."

Part V – The Heavens React

Elsewhere, the gods convened.

"The boy defies us," the God of Death hissed.

"He will unite others," said the God of Flame. "We should have ended him."

"No," Astrael said."Let him struggle. Let him suffer."

"And if he turns others against us?"

Astrael smiled coldly.

"Then let the next war not be between men……but between heaven and Earth."
