Reincarnated as Itsuka Shido: Collecting Spirits as Lovers

Shido watched Origami's fleeting figure while being lost in thought. A few moments later, Shido woke up from his dazed state and shook his head as he still had something to do right now.

"Shido..."

Tohka who was by his side looked at him with a confused expression. She didn't understand why Shido would make that kind of face, but Tohka knew that her heart ached when Shido had that kind look on his face.

She gently pulled the hem of his sleeve making Shido turn his attention to her. Shido awkwardly laughs seeing Tohka worried about him. He didn't say anything and just patted her head. 

Tohka was initially worried about Shido but the warm feeling of his hands swept away all those worries. She purred her head adorably like a cat.

Seeing Tohka forget her worries, Shido finally sighed in relief. 

"Itsuka-kun, Yatogami-san, hurry up!" Okamine-sensei called out from the distance. Everyone was already out of the classroom leaving only him and Tohka inside.

"Let's go Tohka."

"Mn!"

Shido naturally held Tohka's hand as if it were a normal thing to do, while Tohka didn't mind. She even wanted to walk together with Shido while embracing his arms.

As the two walked out of the classroom, they met up with Reine, Okamine-sensei, Tachibana-sensei, and the rest of his classmates.

Watching everything unfold, Shido was surprised. This is the second time a Spatial quake occurred when he was at school and looking at the students and teachers who were calmly evacuating (Except for Okamine-sensei) despite the incoming disaster, Shido had to admit that they were really disciplined.

If it was in his previous life, the people there would run in panic and many would be injured in the stampede. He shook his head wondering why there was so much difference between his country on his previous life and here.

"Shin." 

"Huh?" 

Shido shifted his head and saw Reine walking towards him. Shido watched her as she came nearer. She wore a pink t-shirt with a white laboratory coat placed on top of it. Combined with the light violet skirt and black stockings added a sense of charm emitting within her body.

Shido couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty every time and this time is also not an exemption.

Reine arrived in front of Shido in a few seconds but his intense gaze didn't escape her senses. Yet, she didn't mind it even if Shido looked at her that way, Reine even felt happy instead that Shido desired her but right now is not the time.

"Ah! Reine-san, what's wrong?" Shido coughed awkwardly as he was busted by Reine. He couldn't help but blush slightly as if he got caught doing something bad by his mother.

"..."

Seeing his face became a little red, a faint smile appeared on her deadpan face.

'How cute...' Reine couldn't help but think that Shido was adorable seeing his embarrassed face. Yet, she didn't say anything and went back to the topic that they needed to discuss.

"I see, that's understandable..." Shido said. A hand was placed on his chin while pondering. 

Reine explained to him that they needed to leave Tohka behind with the rest of his classmates to evacuate since Tohka's Reiryoku were sealed making her the same as a normal person. Plus, her emotional levels might rise if she watched a fight between AST and a Spirit, Origami was enough to cause Tohka distress, if more appeared, then it's possible for her emotions to be unstable, so it is better to leave Tohka behind.

Shido glanced at Tohka who had a curious look on her face. She is a Spirit so she wasn't aware of Spatial Quake. This caused her to wonder what event is there and even thought that there might be food stalls around.

"Itsuka-kun, Yatogami-san and Murasame-sensei!"

"If you don't hurry up and evacuate, you'll be in danger!"

Just when about to continue, Okamine-sensei came back to them running frantically in panic. Watching her panicky behavior, Shido felt it was funny causing a smile to appear on his face.

Then an idea surfaced inside his head. He grabbed her hand so suddenly that Okamine-sensei forgot that she was panicking. A blush appeared on her young face while looking at her student who was holding her hand firmly.

"Okamine-sensei." Shido looked directly at her eyes without blinking.

Despite feeling embarrassed, Okamine-sensei felt Shido's rough yet warm hands wrapped around her small hands. "I-Itsuka-kun, we can't..." Okamine sensei bashfully turned her head to the side avoiding locking gaze with him.

"W-We have to evacuate first, then maybe we can..." A silly yet a bit lewd smile appeared on her face as she thought further ahead without restraint.

"..."

Shido, Reine, and Tohka watched Okamine-sensei speechlessly as this woman was really too desperate, right?

*Cough* *Cough*

"Okamine-sensei." Reine coughs to cut Okamine-sensei's delusions.

Okamine-sensei who was already thinking about her future family with Shido woke up from her imagination and realized that Reine and Tohka were looking at her weirdly. Even though there is hardly any expression on Reine's face, Tohka's expression is clearer as she lack the ability to understand other people because she is just a dumb yet cute Spirit.

"Oh my, what am I saying?" Okamine-sensei's face became even redder as she was caught by her fellow teacher and her student showing her embarrassing side.

"Y-Yeah, so you were saying something, Itsuka-kun?" she said, trying to change the topic. Yet, she didn't bother to shake his hands as it was just so comfortable holding it. 

Shido knew what his perverted teacher was thinking but he didn't say anything and just moved to his request.

"Okamine-sensei, please take care of Tohka."

"What? Um, okay."

"Of course I'll take care of her."

Despite being confused by his request, Okamine-sensei still agreed as she would take care of Tohka and the rest of her students.

"Shido..." Tohka looked at him, her purple eyes showing concern. 

"Tohka, there is someone that needs my help. She was just like you, she was being rejected by this world and isolated by the people." Shido looked back at her showing his resolve.

"I want to save her." 

Tohka watched Shido's serious face with a complicated expression. She thought of her situation before she met Shido and she felt awful. She began wondering what would happen if he didn't meet her. Just thinking about that made her reject those thoughts. She didn't want to be alone again, she didn't want to be hated, she didn't want to be separated from Shido again.

She shook her head while erasing those thoughts from her head. Then, she thought of Shido's words. 'Someone like me?'

If she hadn't met Shido, Tohka would probably have fallen into despair and started killing people. It was good that she met Shido, but what about the person Shido was talking about?

She didn't want another person to fall to despair just like how she almost had. Tohka's gaze became resolute and look firmly at Shido's eyes.

"Shido."

"Please save her."

Tohka said with all seriousness causing Shido to be taken aback, yet a smile appeared on his face thinking that his adorable girlfriend was starting to mature.

"Un, leave it to me!" Shido said while patting his chest. 

Reine on the other hand was watching them with an expressionless face, yet she was smiling inside her head thinking that her daughter was becoming more and more adorable.

"Shin." Reine called out to Shido after sorting out her thoughts.

"Let's go!" Shido replied as he ran out with Reine in the other direction.

"I-Itsuka-kun! And Muramase-sensei, too?!"

"Where are you two going?!" Okamie-sensei was dumbfounded when both Shido and Reine went away. She shouted at the two yet they continued on their way.

Meanwhile, Tohka was clutching her chest feeling her heartbeats. Her purple eyes were still staring at their back. While she was worried, Tohka knew that Shido would succeed since she had succeeded in saving her.

A faint smile appeared on her face as she put her trust on him.

"Shido..."
