Reincarnated as Itsuka Shido: Collecting Spirits as Lovers

"Erm... Origami-san? Why are being so close to me?" Shido asked while revealing a wry smile. 

The first period in the afternoon had just finished and everyone from the class was waiting for the next teacher to come in. Origami, who had been silent the whole period suddenly moved closer to him and connected her table next to his, with the reason she forgot to bring her book. "I forgot to bring my book." Origami answered him with a monotone voice while maintaining her expressionless face.

"..."

Shido was speechless. While she answered him, she reached out her arm and wrapped it around his. 'You didn't have to hug my arm to share a book right?' Shido thought inside his head as he let out a wry smile, thinking how bold this girl was.

Origami on the other hand feel so blissful at the moment even though she didn't let it show on her face. Being close to Shido brings her comfort and calms her heart. Yet, her body also became a little hot as she smelled Shido's masculine scent. She bit her lips and subconsciously rubbed her thighs that were as soft as marshmallow.

'Oi, oi... We are inside the classroom! What are you fidgeting about?!' Her actions didn't escape Shido's eyes. He couldn't believe that this girl was feeling horny even though they are inside the class.

"Origami, you hateful woman! How dare you hug Shido, let go of him!" Tohka who had just woken up after the class had finished and she was still dozing off. It was then that he noticed how close Shido and Origami were and she was immediately woken up completely.

She stood up from her seat and confronted Origami once again while pointing her fingers at her. Her purple eyes was burning deeply as this cat was being sneak again. Yet, Origami just ignored her and continued hugging Shido. 

"K-Kuh! T-This girl! You dare to ignore me..." Tohka revealed a frustrated look as she didn't succeed in intimidating Origami. Well, if Shido knew what she was thinking he would certainly feel dumbfounded as Tohka's action was more like throwing a tantrum rather than intimidating someone.

"...Tohka, sit down. The teacher is coming." Watching Tohka's usual routine, Shido could only sigh helplessly as this girl was really troublesome. She was the one who started to provoke Origami yet she always ran away with tears from being defeated by her words every time.

After a few moments, the teacher finally arrived inside their classroom and started the class. Meanwhile, Shido was feeling a little awkward as he was being stared at by his classmates from time to time. Some of they was gritting this handkerchief in jealousy while some were revealing a look of interest.

Shido was also feeling their strange gazes and felt awkward because of it but he chose to ignore them as he was being sandwiched right now between heaven and earth. He turned his head and looked at his left and right side. On his right was Origami who looked so focused on the class yet she was still embracing his arm while constantly caressing it as if teasing him. Meanwhile, Tohka who was on his left side was also holding one of his arms. After she was told by Shido to sit down, Tohka pouted and huffed her cheeks adorably, then looked at Origami who looked like she was enjoying the moment of being close to Shido.

Tohka snorted at Origami for being so shameless to do that in front of her. She sat down on her chair after slamming her table connected to Shido's table, then she moved closer to him and hugged his free arm as she glared at Origami.

Yet, what she received was a silent treatment making Tohka even more frustrated. In the end, she gave up and just rested her head on Shido's strong arms and she finally calmed down. Her expression softened and felt so relaxed. She then once again glanced at Origami who was maintaining her plain expression and snorted. Even though their classmates didn't notice it but Tohka can see it clearly. Origami was being touchy with Shido while revealing a look of satisfaction.

'That's why this girl was so close to Shido. Hmph! You thieving cat, I will protect Shido from your sharp claws! And then, Shido and I...' Tohka thought inside her head then as she thought of something, her face suddenly felt hot as she threw a gaze at Shido who was looking at her with a confused look.

Seeing his confusion, Tohka puffed out her cheeks as she thought that Shido was and scumbag for having his way with Origami even though he already have her. Yet what she didn't knew was that Shido was always observing their emotional status with his Observation Haki. He just acted confused to avoid another situation from happening, if it was night and no one was around them then Shido would not mind going all out but it was the day right now and they were surrounded by their classmates.

When they were having their own thoughts, the teacher entered the classroom. She looked around and saw Shido, Tohka, and Origami being so close together, yet she ignored them as if she didn't see anything and started the lesson.

The class was still going on, yet an alarm suddenly resounded, cutting through their lesson with urgency.

"There have been precursory signs of an impending spatial quake in this area."

"This is not a drill."

"Please evacuate to the nearest shelter immediately."

For a brief moment, the entire classroom fell into silence, the weight of the announcement sinking in. But as soon as the students processed the words, they quickly rose from their seats and moved in an orderly manner, just as they had practiced during training. Their teacher also took charge, guiding them with calm but serious instructions.

However, amidst the organized evacuation, Shido was lost in thought.

Watching the heavy sky that looked like about to pour down rain, Shido could only think of a certain person that could cause this phenomenon. 

Shido exhaled softly, his expression unreadable as he muttered under his breath.
