Reincarnated as incubus: I didn't mean to seduce you!

Chapter 220 Flandre: In every sense, it's out of control now (10.2k)_2

If they could reclaim this deserted quest land, would they perhaps reap a huge surprise?

But then, the situation took a sudden turn for the worse, with the flames of war spreading throughout the Yibel Federation, and it wasn't long before the player community received news of the Bartlett Monarch's death.

They hadn't even had the chance to understand the specific circumstances before one of the top NPCs, in their eyes, dramatically met his end.

At first, the players were a bit uncomfortable with this development, but as version updates kept rolling out, they gradually began to get used to it.

The game's overarching setting was always one of chaos and strife, where true peace was rare and, most of the time, both natives and players found themselves inevitably drawn into the tumult of the era.

Player guilds like "World Tree," "Asgard," "Undying," "Cai Ketongshen", and "Guns and Roses" united many players for mutual support and warmth.

With "Independent Players United Association" leading the charge, this massive player force composed of various independent gamers also faced tumultuous times with each version update.

Even the smaller forces comprised of top-tier lone wolf players, unburdened by any dead weight, were not guaranteed continual safety.

After the start of the 7.0 era, everyone in the core elite player group had already broken through the Legendary tier, but due to the rapid development of all factions within the gateways to the lower realm, the Legendary tier, though still precious, was not as valuable as it had been during the 1.0 version.

No...

To be more precise, according to the timeline he had previously experienced, the game should already be in the 2.0 version era by now.

But due to the small stirrings of Kael's butterfly wings, a storm had swept across the entire Yibel Federation and the surrounding nations, beginning to push history in a direction unknown to him.

When Kael opened his eyes again, the bright azure hue of his pupils became even clearer.

"How do you feel now? What do you think about your current state?"

The Bartlett Monarch's face displayed a grin like that of a mischievous child, taking pride in seeing his highest achievements being effectively utilized by a true genius, a sense of accomplishment that ordinary people could not fathom.

Kael nodded and said,

"Much better than I had anticipated." A happy smile appeared on Kael's face.

What does "one fish, three eats" mean?

Whether it's a Scroll Scholar, a War Mage, or the current Mechanical Mage, at their core, they are all Extraordinary Systems built around intelligence Attributes.

And now, Kael finally understood that he seemed to have some subtle misunderstandings about the Mechanical Mage profession.

"The core you were just holding, the techniques contained within are a bit impressive, aren't they?"

The Bartlett Monarch couldn't help but praise.

Kael looked at the Memory Crystal in his hand with a complex expression and after a moment, he said,

"I always feel like I have some misunderstandings about the goblins."

This Memory Crystal was the one Dr. Osborne had planned to give him, containing the many core technologies of Wandong City (see Chapter 210).

Memory Crystals were somewhat of a signature product of the goblin empire, capable of storing knowledge and skills.

To some extent, this is similar to a Mage's core in profession.

Mages, through prolonged study of Spells, inscribe Magic Models directly into their core, allowing them to both retain their casting abilities and explore more possibilities with their Spells over time.

Essentially, it is a method of etching knowledge and Spells within the core, but internally.

Memory Crystals, on the other hand, serve as an external means of storage.

Or, it can be called the "gateway to the lower realm version of a high-speed learning device."

Because of the existence of Memory Crystals, Mechanical Mages can precisely replicate many of their past operations through the crystal, by engraving their memory and methods onto external Memory Crystals.

If pushed to make a comparison, these crystals bear some resemblance to "Chip Wizards" from ancient novels he once read, both methods involve using external forces to affect oneself.

It is the presence of Memory Crystals that allows Mechanical Mages, with the aid of Spiritual Power and the necessary materials, to create all kinds of mechanisms and even huge humanoid robots from scratch, just as a mechanic would.

Kael wasn't too concerned about this technology initially.

After all, Memory Crystals were a proprietary item for Mechanical Mages. For non-Mechanical Mages, using such an item would be quite challenging.

Although Kael trusted the quality of the Memory Crystal given to him by Dr. Osborne, and believed that by converting through this Memory Crystal he could acquire several quite impressive skills for Mechanical Mages, that was pretty much the extent of it.

After all, when players changed professions, at most they acquired three skills of varying levels: high, medium, and low...

But now, Kael felt the painful sensation of that terrifying stream of information continuously filling his Memory Palace, vaguely understanding something.

Player, you have misled me!

At this moment, Kael wished he could let out a marmot-like scream.

The most significant issue was not the Memory Crystal itself, but the disparity between players and natives.

In the moment he used the Memory Crystal, Kael realized that it essentially functioned as a library that allowed free access to related Mechanical Mage and Magic Technology content.
