Grand Duke Kasrten amusingly looks at his friend.

When he learned that Eugene will be pulled out of the selection he immediately informs Arkiton to see what this good friend of his will do but he didn't expect his friend to use his authority and bring the matter out of the academy, using the emperor as a threat.

Katnier laugh and patted Arkiton's back, saying: "Isn't that too much?"

Arkiton just shrugged: "If I don't do that the academy's director won't show himself. Isn't that the most effective and simplest method? They dare to refuse a Marquis because they knew that Aison is not someone who loves to use his own authority, especially to the rumored unwanted son of his. The fact that I hated so much to the point I wanted to kill who created the rumors."

Katnier put his hand on his chin.

Everyone must have thought that he cheated.

Eugene averted his gaze and walk back into the cafeteria to eat. Though problematic, it's not important anymore. He can question the academic officers and instructors but he can't offend an arbitrator now because he had no backing from his family. He didn't want to bother his brother with something like this because it was his choice, he did something that made the consequences greatly affect him.

Did he regret it? No.

Why would he regret it? He is so stingy that only by destroying a lair he would feel accomplishment.

His worry is that his teammates...

Especially Timber who will be left alone inside the Sena Forest.

Eugene hurriedly finishes his meal and sighed. He left the cafeteria and walk towards the council room to talk about the matter of compensation. However, when he got there, he saw some members of the school student council, blocking the door.

"Excuse me?"

One of the men looked at him in surprise, "Student, what's your business here?"

"I want to meet the academic officers."

"They are not available now, a proceeding is undergoing inside. If you want to talk to them you can wait till noon."

Proceeding? Did some students also make trouble? How is it that another proceeding is happening on the same day after the first round of selection? Unless the one inside also did something like substantial damage to be interviewed by the committees? Nevertheless, he couldn't wait till noon because he would have to meet the grand duke.

He needs to be listed again because he couldn't leave Timber alone inside the Sena Forest. Even though Sanciel and Theoran are strong, they won't be able to focus on watching Timber all the time and that would just probably hinder them in battle.

Only he can keep Timber away from danger so even if it's against his will, he would have no choice but to ask the grand duke to help him to be listed again.

"Did the proceeding just start?"

"No, it started about five hours since now but the matter seems big as the academic director is present so it may take time to end."

A flash of surprise appears: "Academic Director?"

Eugene turn around and was about to leave but the door of the council room opened causing the two student council students and Eugene to look back.

Eugene passed when he saw his father step out with Duke Viltaria and the academic director. They seem to be talking about some serious matter that they failed to notice Eugene's presence but even so, Duke Viltaria who is familiar with his son's aura immediately transfer his gaze to the front and saw Eugene looking at them dumbfoundedly, seemingly confused.

Regardless of the surprise, Eugene manages to change his expression especially when his father turns to look at him with cold eyes. This made Duke Viltaria feel like he hallucinated for seconds. Anyhow, Duke Viltaria waves his hand, indicating Eugene to come over.

"Come here Eugene."

Eugene swallowed his refusal because it was Duke Viltaria who called him.

Duke Viltaria has been good to him whether it's in the past or now so he couldn't just ignore Duke Viltaria just like how he could ignore his father.

He could only walk over and nodded at the academic director.

"This is Eugene Shradinza? Such a good-looking and talented child. Marquis, your sons never failed to leave a record in our academy. We value students like them the most so I hope you won't be offended about our council's mistake."

Eugene wasn't able to talk and he could only lower his head, afraid of meeting his father's eyes. This is why he didn't see the happiness in the eyes of Duke Viltaria as the three families finally have time together. The sad thing is that his lover and son didn't know anything so Duke Viltaria could only swallow his dismay.

"Eugene, after the selection you will be grounded to reflect.

Duke Viltaria held his lover to calm him down.

Eugene just turn a deaf ear, not looking at them, even a single glance.

Duke Viltaria is in distress, not expecting that the side effect of the spell would be this much. He couldn't bear to hear her son being scolded by his very own father but he also couldn't bear to see his lover suffer outside.

Marquis Shradinza push Duke Viltaria's hand away and said: "Right, I got carried away again. I need to go now, Eullian and Celisha are waiting for me. If it weren't for this child I wouldn't waste my time here."

"Aison---" Duke Viltaria clench his fist, his eyes red as he watches Marquis Shradinza walk away.

——Seeing his father leaving, Eugene also bid goodbye to Duke Viltaria and left to find Timber who is probably looking for him now. However, contrary to Eugene's worries, Timber is still inside the dorm, sleeping like a pig, forgetting the time of dinner because his stomach is too full.

With a full stomach, Timber suffered from a nightmare.

Eugene who is about to go out of the building stop and turns around to check on the dormitory first. He doesn't know why, just an instinct. Fortunately, his decision is right because Timber is really inside the room. But it's already dinner time and knowing that Timber is still sleeping since earlier, he leaves again to get some food and bring it back.

So when Timber woke up, his teary eyes met Eugene's confused face.

"Huhuhu."

Timber plunged himself into Eugene while crying aggrievedly saying, "Huhu, Eugene the bad fruits are chasing me huhuhu. They took revenge because I ate them huhuhu. I'm scared."

Eugene was dumbfounded.

Eugene didn't know why Timber's parents are not around but it was good too because he had no one to spend his time with. His mother and father are probably staying inside Eullian's dormitory so he's alone as his brother is probably there too.

Having Timber is enough to fill the void in his heart.

"Timber where are your parents? Why I didn't see them?"

"Huh? Well, they told me that my brother is back so they would meet him. They would probably come back at noon. But I told them not to bring my brother! Hmp I hate him!"
