Reborn: The Return of the Villainous Mr. Liu

Chapter 1066: Two peas in a pod

"W-What are you doing!? You psycho bitch, let me go!!!"

Wang Xia's terror-stricken voice exclaimed at the top of her lungs as her face faced downwards with a gust of wind blowing past her cheeks, with slightly more than half of her torso hanging outside the twentieth floor window.

"Are you sure about that? Letting you go means diving towards your death, you know?" Alix raised her brow.

She firmly held Wang Xia secured in her place but also loose enough for the threat to sink in.

"No! No!!" Wang Xia was aghast. "I meant let me back in the room! Are you crazy!? H-How dare you do this to me!?"

"At first I thought that we would have a civil conversation over a cup of coffee but then I figured it was counterproductive. This was a much faster way to achieve my results. So here we are."

"What here we are!? Get me in right now! I-I am going to fall ahhh!" She shrieked, desperately flailing her arms in the air. "Do you think you can escape from this?"

Alix released a yawn. "This is why I chose this karaoke room on the twentieth floor of this hotel. If you look down, which you already are, you will see people looking like ants to you, isn't it?"

She shivered.

"Which means they cannot see what is happening so far up either and besides, I have switched off the lights here so I think nobody is really seeing your misery. It's only you and me in this lonely, dark room. Very romantic, isn't it?"

The wind kept her tears on her cheeks dry but Alix's no-nonsense threat to push her off the window would wet the dried stains again.

"You really are a psycho!!!" She screamed.

"You haven't even seen the A of it, sweetheart. It will take you forever to get to Z. We don't have the time for that so start talking before my hand goes numb and it will become an 'Oopsie' moment for me."

"I don't have anything to say to you-"

She gasped when she felt her body tugged half an inch forward, dangling her like a seesaw.

"Aaahhhhh!!!"

"One more inch and it will become very difficult for me to hold onto your weight," she lazily said, "So this could be your last chance."

Tears poured down her eyes, her heart in her throat. "W-What do you want to know?"

"What exactly happened that night?"

"I-I have already told that to the cops - aahh!!!"

Her thigh slightly slid off the window grill and a wave of dizziness washed over her.

"When I said talk, it's also assumed that you would speak the truth."

Wang Xia now even feared to breathe, lest even the action of breathing would slid her off her balance further. Blood gushed to her head.

"Let's not waste each other's time and answer in yes or no. Did Jin really assault you?"

"Y-You are threatening me to change m-my testimony, aren't you?"

"Yes or no or fall. Which option?"

Wang Xia gulped and felt it from the bottom of her heart that Alix wouldn't hesitate to really kill her. Her eyes screamed pure malice and evil.

"...No," she bit her lip hard.

"Now you can speak full sentences. No what?"

"N-No, he didn't…do anything to me…"

She smiled. "Was that so hard now?"

"N-Now get me back!!! Please!" A wave of nausea would overwhelm her whenever she would gaze down.

"Not so soon. Obviously nothing happened, so what really happened?"

She clenched her teeth. "I…"

Alix squinted her eyes. "I sense hesitation. Do you need motivation?"

"I-I had tried t-to sleep with him!" She burst out, panicked and breathless.

"So like I thought, the picture was reversed indeed," she nodded. You wanted to assault him, not the other way around."

"I thought that would work be-because t-there was medicine mixed in his drinks!"

"Classic. Ah. It almost feels like I am a fortune teller. Then what?"

Tears pooled in her eyes that fell and disappeared with the wind. "He…pu-pushed me away…I don't know how! H-He wasn't supposed to have any sense left but he didn't let me anywhere near him. I-Instead he pointed the fruit knife at me!!"

Which was Wang Xia's main testimony that Jin assaulted her drunk and at knife point.

"He said that he-he won't hesitate to stab me if I ever so even raise my finger to touch him…" she gasped. "He is crazy! He was laughing the whole time d-despite knowing my plan!"

"If he knew your plan and even threatened to kill you, then why were you in his room for the entire night? Why didn't you leave when you saw that your plan got foiled?"

"P-Please can you let me in? I cannot…b-breathe…"

"Force yourself to breathe for a few more minutes. So why didn't you leave?"

Wang Xia looked back at her in her daze, her vision slightly getting blurry.

"O-Of course I wanted to escape! I thought he would call the security to catch me. But like I said he is crazy! Liu Jin told me to stay in the room himself."

"Huh?" Alix threw her a blank look.

"H-He told me to sit in the corner of the room and n-not move an inch the entire time or he will strangle me himself," she heaved breathlessly. "He stayed in bed for the whole night without sleeping a wink on top of the drinks he had with the medicine mixed in it. Is he a m-monster to keep awake in that situation?"

Alix stared at her, still befuddled.

"But why didn't he let you leave?"

"I-I don't know! He demanded to know what my plan was a-and I told him I was going to file a case against him for sexual harassment. He just listened in silence and said, 'Oh. Do whatever you want.' He wasn't fazed a bit nor did he try to stop me. He is a maniac!"

"...So you mean Jin already knew he would be arrested the next day?"

"Isn't that what I am saying!? He is a maniac! You are a maniac! You two maniacs should go and get married for God's sake!"
