Chapter 27: The Shift in the Story.
— A tense silence filled the air of the pristine meeting room. - A group of individuals, their faces etched with a mixture of fear and determination, sat arranged around a polished mahogany table, their gazes fixed on the man at the head.
- The man, a figure of authority and menace, was known only as 'The Leader'.
- He drummed his fingers on the table, the sound echoing ominously in the quiet room.
- "I have to ask," The Leader began, his voice a low growl, "why didn't any of you manage to capture a single girl yet?" - His question hung in the air, a loaded accusation.
- "Sir, we are still on our mission to kidnap her, but she has a very skilled guard," a man stammered, his voice barely a whisper.
- The Leader's eyes narrowed, and he leaned forward, his gaze piercing.
- "I don't want to hear any excuses," he seethed, his voice rising in volume.
- "If anyone has any idea, please share it. The clock is ticking, and our benefactor is losing his patience."
- Another man, bolder than the rest, raised his hand. "Sir, we could try to neutralize the guard first. We have a few new recruits who are exceptionally skilled in stealth and infiltration. If we can create a diversion, we can capture the girl while the guard is preoccupied."
- A glimmer of something akin to approval flickered in The Leader's eyes.
- "A diversion... an interesting idea. Tell me more." He gestured for the man to continue, and The air in the meeting room became tense.
- "I want to finish it quickly," a voice, as sharp and unyielding as a blade, cut through the silence.
- "The timing is now running and the saintess' power must be ours at all cost. We will do everything that will get us that power."
- A man leaned forward, a slight, almost predatory smile playing on his lips.
- It was a familiar role, this one. The brilliant, sadistic strategist. "I have the perfect plan for that guard," he began, his voice a low purr.
- " I have an excellent plan that will get her not only in strategic way but also forcefully." Man.
- Everyone looked at him, their expressions a mix of confusion and disbelief.
- he was a known genius strategist, notorious for his convoluted and often cruel methods.
- As he began to lay out the intricate details, he meticulously detailed the timing, the weaknesses of the academy's defenses, and the psychological traps they would set.
- By the time he finished, his performance had painted a picture so compelling, so seemingly foolproof, that everyone in the room found themselves nodding in reluctant agreement.
- He was so confident, and that confidence was infectious. With a final, shared look of grim resolve, the meeting ended.
——————————————————————————
- It has been a month since that incident, a month that feels like a lifetime.
- We are living our normal academy life, a veneer of peace plastered over the undercurrent of unease.
- My days are a carefully orchestrated series of classes and surveillance.
- I have started to monitor Rose from above, using every advantage my position grants me to anticipate and prevent any attack.
- But recently, something else has begun to draw my attention, the relationship between the protagonists, Rose and Allen.
- It was in this time around the initial incident that they first started to have a serious relationship, a blossoming romance that, in the game, was the catalyst for so many of my destructive actions.
- The stolen glances in the library, the hushed conversations by the fountain, the way their hands would brush against each other and linger just a moment too long.
- They were a beacon of light, a promise of a future Leon(me) had once tried to extinguish.
- But as I watch them now, from my distant, self-imposed perch, something has shifted.
- They look so much more distant than they did in the game's storyline.
- The easy camaraderie has been replaced by an awkward silence.
- Their conversations are shorter, their touches more hesitant. It's a subtle but profound change, a crack appearing in the very foundation of the story I know.
- I can't help but wonder if my presence, my very existence here, has already begun to change things.
- At this very point in the story, the character I was originally meant to be, the villain Leon, has to get angry and deepen his hatred toward Allen.
- Until one day as the sun was setting and I came from a class from my daily training and on my way to my room.
- As I was walking in a hallway, I heard a voice around the corner in the hallway.
- I wanted to go back to not eavesdrop them but I heard a familiar voice, it was Rose's.
- I immediately went back to listen to them, their voice was not a lovely one nor friendly but was an angry one especially Rose's.
- They were arguing about something i didn't know only to see her slapping him on the face.
- I was stunned to see that knowing in the original game storyline this never happened nor mentioned anywhere.
- I stood there shocked and thinking, did something not in the story happen for her to slap him like that.
