The next morning, Vanessa was discharged from the hospital and she asked Linda to take her back to her own house.

A whole week passed and she didn't hear anything from Rowen and Tara. It was as though the incident never occurred.

Well.. so she thought as all over social media were different reporters , content creators and News publishing houses all blabbing about the fact they both had a daughter.

The sudden shock to the world has left people asking why on earth they kept Tara a secret.

Stepping into Vanessa's apartment was a black haired lady. She was dressed in a black suit and her black tiny eyes could make anyone realize that she was half Chinese, half white.

Smiling widely, Eunice jumped on Vanessa as she hugged her tightly.

"Cousin!! Oh I've missed you."

Shocked to see her, Vanessa just stood here expressionless as her eyes immediately turned red.

'She was back'

Vanessa thought.

Eunice Mo was her half cousin and was the main reason for her drastic fall back in her past life.

She and Eunice grew up together and did everything together. She was literally her best friend. They both even entered the same acting industry together, promising to grow with one another.

But who knew Eunice had been scheming all her life to ruin her.

She was the reason behind everything that happened, she made her hate Rowen and her daughter, she made her lose her career and her fame.

Everything was done by her and seeing her alone made her feel nothing but disgust and hatred

"Look at you, you look so pale.." Eunice commented as she dressed Vanessa's hair properly.

"Aren't you happy to see me?"

Faking a smile Vanessa removed Eunice's grip from her as she smiled faintly, "Of course, how was your trip?"

"It was so nice… I got to see Willow, I had such a great time there.." Eunice said as she followed Vanessa who was walking towards the kitchen.

"And the wedding?" Vanessa dropped the bomb and Eunice's face seemed to twitch slightly.

If Vanessa remembered clearly, at the point in her life Eunice had lied to her about going for one of her friend's wedding but Instead she went on a trip with Erin.

"W-well the wedding was wonderful… the groom was handsome and rich too.." Eunice quickly hid her nervous expression as she went to take a seat at the kitchen island.

"By the way, I heard what happened last week… it was all over social Media.. I can't believe the whole Graceland knows that Tara is now your daughter.. Do you know what this means now?"

"What does it mean?"

"Well.. it means that your acting career would be at stake.. If those directors and movie producers are aware that you are a mother already, they would find it hard to give you a movie role and not just that, ppl would soon figure out the age difference between you and Tara and it could start a scandal."

Hearing her words, Vanessa frowned slightly. Now that she thought of it, Eunice always had ways to say so many negative things about Tara and her career.. always finding ways to make her hate the poor girl.

"I understand what you're getting at but the right age of marriage in Graceland is 18 and I got pregnant at 20, so it's not something that bad and anyway, I and Rowen got married before I gave birth so we could just easily deny any foolish scandal that wants to surface… I'm not really bothered about that."

Vanessa says as Eunice frowns slightly. That was her first time seeing Vanessa reason things sensible, which seemed strange.

If it was the Vanessa she knew, she would have already turned red in anger and cursed Rowen for getting her pregnant.

Shaking the awkward moment off, Eunice said, "W-w-well I guess you're right, I didn't think it through… A-anyway, concerning that audition for that short film.. are you still going for it?"

Hearing that, Vanessa's brows twitched slightly. She remembered clearly how she was invited to audition for a short film shot by Stephen King. But Eunice had begged her for the spot and she stupidly gave it to her.

The movie seemed like a low budgeted movie that wasn't really going to make it but she was wrong.

The movie even won an award and the character which she should have gone for became everyone's favourite.

Because of this, Eunice's fame increased and her face was all over Graceland.

She admitted that Eunice wasn't really a bad actress but compared to Vanessa she was nothing.

With so many benefits, there was no way she would be as stupid as to give it to her once again.

"Yes I am.. is there a reason you're asking?" She questioned.

Hesitating, Eunice finally spoke up, "Well I've been reading the script and it seemed quite interesting.. I haven't gotten any movie roles for sometime now… pls let me have you, I'm sure Susan would get you another movie opportunity."

She pleaded but Vanessa wasn't buying it, "Don't worry, if you want to get a spot in the audition I'll pull some strings for you but I would also be auditioning… I've been feeling bored lately, I need something to keep myself busy with.. I hope you understand?"

Vanessa said with a fake smile as Eunice just smiled awkwardly while she was boiling in anger.

'Vanessa never refuses me but why All of a sudden.. I was gone for two weeks, what the hell happened in two weeks.'

Unknown to her that the woman standing in front of her wasn't the stupid Vanessa she once knew.
