Rebirth of the Mining Tycoon

Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Absolutely Brilliant

Chapter 41: Absolutely Brilliant

Zhao Hepu, however, didn't quite grasp the depth of those passages. Maybe it was due to fatigue—his mind was slow to process. "Doesn't sound like it's very advanced technology."

"President Zhao!" Lu Kanqing was so excited he was trembling. "This document is practically a construction blueprint for a bioleaching copper refinery! If this material is complete, we could follow its content directly to build a full-scale refinery!"

It was like someone had already paved the road—now they just had to drive on it.

Unlike many experts who still regarded bio-metallurgy with skepticism and ambiguity, this document laid out a clear and optimal solution!

Zhao Hepu finally understood. He snatched the document back and read through it more carefully. "If that's the case, why the hell are we still working with Purple Mining? We can start building the plant ourselves and get it into production soon!"

"As long as this document is complete, I think we can absolutely do that."

Lu Kanqing was thrilled, though slightly regretful. "This document cuts off after just a small portion. The core technologies aren't included."

As he spoke, both he and Zhao Hepu instinctively turned to look at Li Tang beside them.

This young man must have a complete version of the material!

Li Tang, however, had been calmly watching the trees blur past outside the car window. He showed no emotional reaction.

Sensing their gazes, he turned his attention back inside and said flatly, "Yes, there is a complete version. It contains the full framework of bio-metallurgy technology. I can even say that the technology is close to maturity. But to build a large-scale refinery, technology alone isn't enough. You also need a professional team that can understand and implement it. And certain details must be customized according to each mine's specific conditions."

He saw that Zhao Hepu and Lu Kanqing still looked stunned and said bluntly, "That's why I hope the Mining & Metallurgy Company will collaborate with the Metallurgical Research Institute or the Purple Metallurgy Research Institute."

"But your technology clearly surpasses what they have. I don't think you need their help at all!"

"Even among three people walking together, there must be someone I can learn from. Never be ashamed to ask questions. Many hands make light work..." Li Tang recited several classical Chinese proverbs. "You see, even the ancients knew that collective effort is needed to achieve great things. And Director Lü, Dean Hao, and the others truly have deep expertise in bio-metallurgy."

It was clear that Zhao Hepu and Lu Kanqing now regarded the document in their hands as a kind of Bible. They had even begun to look down on Dean Hao and the others, already entertaining thoughts of excluding them from future plans.

Now that they had this technology, they could dominate on their own!

Li Tang simply smiled. "Sharing makes me happy."

He hadn't applied for a patent and had never considered monopolizing the technology.

His goal was to bring the knowledge out into the world to shorten the time it takes others to conduct research—and that would give his life some added meaning.

After all, the technology didn't originally belong to him.

Of course, if he could gain some financial reward from it, that would be even better.

After all, he had invested a lot of time and energy in organizing this information. To hold so much knowledge in a single person's mind took relentless effort and dedication.

"Alright." Zhao Hepu reluctantly agreed with Li Tang's choice.

His personal goal wasn't the technology itself but to completely solve the problem at the Demen Copper Mine.

He understood this very clearly.

In the lead vehicle, Hao Zhengzhi and Lü Fengnian were both visibly disappointed that they hadn't gotten their hands on the document.

Hao Zhengzhi was actually about the same age as Lü Fengnian, but with his jet-black dyed hair, he looked much younger than Lü Fengnian's full head of silver.

He had spent his entire life working at a public research institute, but after receiving an offer from Purple Mining and feeling Chen Jinhe's sincerity, he left his old unit and joined the Purple Metallurgy Research Institute.

As a researcher, the place wasn't important—what mattered was having a comfortable environment to do research.

His thirst for truth had become part of his very blood and would last a lifetime.

"The No. 5 heap leaching yard may have failed, but we gained a lot of valuable experience. Especially today—we've been presented with many new perspectives and insights. After hearing that young man speak, I found his words truly thought-provoking and enlightening."

His mind was still processing the many new ideas he had encountered today. He wished he could start experimenting immediately to verify their validity.

What intrigued him even more than the new ideas was the young man himself. "Director Lü, what do you think of that young man?"

"Li Tang?" Lü Fengnian took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. "If I had to describe him in one word—'amazing.' He's simply outstanding."

"He's actually with the Wukuang Group," Hao Zhengzhi muttered, baffled. He felt that someone of Li Tang's talent was wasted in a production-oriented company. "The things he said today—both you and I could tell—he's highly professional, extremely so! And his understanding of our experimental methods and procedures—it's as if he knew them inside and out! If he deduced all of this just by walking around the lab, that's almost unbelievable."

"All I can say is, the guy has real knowledge," Lü Fengnian said sincerely.

"There was a moment when I even suspected you had leaked our research."

"Absolutely not!" Lü Fengnian said firmly. He had always taken pride in his integrity and would never tolerate such a stain on his name. "I even thought maybe he had inside connections in your institute."

"We're all veterans. None of us would ever leak confidential information."

Hao Zhengzhi turned and looked at Lü Fengnian. "You were the one who introduced Zhao Hepu and the others to us. What's your opinion on their proposal for collaborative research?"

"My opinion doesn't matter. What you all think is more important—the decision is yours."

"Honestly, I don't want to work with Wukuang Group. Big corporations from Yanjing look down on us. If they join, over time, there will definitely be conflicts."

Hao Zhengzhi knew that his own opinion on the matter carried considerable weight.

If he agreed to cooperate with Wukuang Group and said so directly to Chen Jinhe, the latter would definitely respect his decision.

Despite what he said, he was clearly torn. "To tell you the truth, I really want to recruit Li Tang into our research team!"

"Then you can't bypass Wukuang Group."

"What exactly is in that technical document Li Tang has?"

"So in the end, what you really want is his technology!" Lü Fengnian laughed. "Honestly, I'm curious too. With his expertise in bio-metallurgy, whatever he has written down must be impressive."

"Let's eat dinner first. See if Li Tang is willing to share the document with us."

"Some drinks tonight?"

"We have to drink a few more with Li Tang!"
