Chapter 17: Chapter 17 Escape Quickly
Shen Shou also knew that Yun Mu's strength was formidable, so he didn't expect to defeat him in a short period of time. Instead, he had made thorough preparations.
Not only did he bring a large number of thugs, but he also kept at least two aces up his sleeve.
Offending me, Shen Shou, even if you are a big shot in Beijing, I'll still tear a few pieces of flesh from you.
Moreover, as for Yun Mu's background, Big Brother Da Fei had already made it clear to him. This guy was purely a scarecrow, good looking and skilled in some Kung Fu, yet he was an outcast from his family.
The Yun Family even sent people to kill this kid.
Shen Shou thought that capturing Yun Mu and offering him to the Yun Family would kill two birds with one stone. Not only would he eliminate this kid, but he would also do the Yun Family in the capital a favor. Thus, he really put a lot of effort into it.
Finally, Yun Mu had defeated the last man in a suit.
Although these idiots were all in suits, they were clearly well trained. As a result, Yun Mu's physical strength was significantly depleted.
This body of mine is truly useless. Even occasional workouts leave it weak, and my stamina is too easily exhausted.
At this point, Yun Mu was almost in a state of overexertion. His physical strength had been greatly drained from the consecutive days of fighting.
What was more deadly was that because Houhai Lane was too narrow and was a dead end, he couldn't fully utilize his Kung Fu moves or evade the attacks of the many opponents effectively.
Thus, Yun Mu had to endure many of the strikes, causing reddish and bluish bruises on his body, though fortunately, they were not severe.
Seeing the men in suits collapsed on the ground, a long-missed smile finally appeared on Yun Mu's face.
"Hahahaha, is this the strength of one of Ji'an's three young masters, Young Master Shen? Now it's my turn, Young Yun, to properly entertain you all."
With a fierce look, Yun Mu walked toward the black business car.
The two people inside the car were also extremely shocked by this scene.
"Young Master Shen, he has managed to take out thirty people in such a short time," stated Big Brother Da Fei.
Shen Shou was also astounded, "Indeed he is skilled. It seems that had I not backed down that day, I would have long been slapped to death. Damn, thankfully I still held back today."
"So, Young Master Shen, what do you think..."
"No rush, let him come closer first," Shen Shou's lips curled into a sly smile.
Yun Mu also sensed something strange about the situation. Although he knew Shen Shou was tough to subdue, how could he not show even a hint of fear at his threats?
Could there be a trick?
Yun Mu slowly slowed his pace.
"Damn, Young Master Shen, that kid seems to have noticed something odd," exclaimed Big Brother Da Fei urgently.
Shen Shou saw it as well and spoke into the walkie-talkie, "Let's stop playing with this kid. Take him down, beat him to death!"
Suddenly, a red wave surged from behind the business car.
Yun Mu focused and was shocked as well. This red wave was not something, but a group of men in red vests.
Although these men were not as muscular as the previous ones, the muscle lines on their bodies were very distinct, obviously indicating a higher level of skilled thugs.
Who could have guessed that these two had set up an ambush at the end of the alley!
Shen Shou smiled slightly; he had paid a lot of money to hire these men from the arena, not only offering them a high salary but also promising a substantial bonus to whoever could knock Yun Mu to the ground first.
Under the lure of a hefty reward, men in tank tops surged toward Yun Mu like they'd been injected with an adrenaline boost.
Yun Mu had no choice but to keep retreating and used his hands to block one man's attack. Then, with skillful leverage, he twisted the man's arm around.
A snap was heard, and the man's arm bone broke instantly, followed by a sky-high scream of agony.
The others were not deterred in the least; the huge bounty offered by Young Master Shen was enough to turn them into desperados.
Some even started pulling out shiny objects from their pockets, clearly aiming to finish Yun Mu for good.
Now Yun Mu realized that the suited men were just there to wear him down, and the reason this narrow dead-end was chosen was to limit his movement; no matter what happened, he couldn't escape.
The only outcome was to fight to the death, potentially getting seriously injured or killed.
It was then that Yun Mu realized he had underestimated his opponents. If he had investigated Houhai Lane earlier, he wouldn't be in this situation.
But Yun Mu didn't have time to regret; the next second, punches rained down on him like droplets.
Yun Mu clenched his teeth and endured, then exerted all his strength to strike back.
After a few exchanges, Yun Mu managed to hit several men, which only spurred the others on further; they unhesitatingly began smashing their weapons onto Yun Mu.
Yun Mu immediately felt a tearing pain in his body.
These bastards were using knives!
This was a serious violation of Yun Mu's bottom line. Using knives meant this was a vicious confrontation; it was either kill or be killed.
The instinct to survive made Yun Mu see red. "So, using knives, huh? Dammit, I have a knife too, did you know that!"
In a flash, Yun Mu pulled out a special edition Swiss Army Knife from his waist pocket, pressed the button on the handle, and a sleek blade popped out.
"Dammit, go to hell, all of you!"
With a knife in hand, Yun Mu was no longer someone to be suppressed; he flipped over and stabbed several men who were closest to him.
Seeing Yun Mu also pulling out a dagger, the men in tank tops hesitated.
Now was the chance. Yun Mu knew if he stayed any longer, he would surely die here; the only option was to escape quickly.
Without a moment's hesitation, Yun Mu ran desperately toward the end of the lane.
In the car, Shen Shou and Big Fly Brother were already celebrating with champagne, thinking Yun Mu had been beaten down.
They hadn't expected this kid to get back up and even stab some of their men.
"He can't be allowed to escape."
Shen Shou quickly yelled, "What are you standing there for, chase him!"
Hearing Shen Shou's shout, everyone hurried in the direction Yun Mu had run.
Yun Mu had reached the end of the dead-end alley. Before him was a five or six-meter-tall red brick wall.
"Dammit, how am I supposed to get over such a high wall," Yun Mu worried instantly.
"Ha ha ha, keep running; it's a dead-end here, running is useless, ha ha ha," Shen Shou sneered viciously.
Yun Mu was also extremely anxious inside, thinking he couldn't have returned to life only to die again so soon. No, no, at home were his beautiful wife and Jiajia; he hadn't yet had the chance to embrace them.
