Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 282: Assigning Some Missions, And Preparing For Departure

"Heya." Rael waved his hand dramatically. "What's the special occasion? Wait... don't tell me. Is it because the continent just went to shit—"

"Language," Milf_GattlingGun cut him off coldly, pointing at Elise. "My kid's here. If she picks up any messed-up manners because of your crass wording, I'm going to kill you."

"Spooky..." Rael muttered. "Anyways... what's up?"

Karina stepped forward.

"The Blazing Sun faction... did you see the pop-up?"

"I did," Rael replied. "It doesn't worry me much."

After all...

Their faction might be big and strong, but so what? I can just buy the Sun Cores off everyone, and then no one will be able to complete the main quest.

So with that in mind, Rael turned his attention back to the women.

"How's renovation coming along?"

"It's okay," Karina replied, a bit hesitant. "But are you sure that they won't be a threat?"

"Oh, don't get me wrong, they are a threat," Rael stated. "They're like an unstoppable calamity. I'm only half sure I can deal with them. But stressing won't make them any less annoying."

"Cheers to that," Asimov chimed in and pointed above her. "Say hello to the stream, by the way."

Rael rolled his eyes and waved.

Zafira did the same.

Immediately, Asimov's grin widened as she fell silent.

"Anything else?" Rael asked, glancing at each of the women present, including little Elise. "Because if not, then we need to discuss something."

A moment of silence ensued, and with a nod, he was about to explain his and Zafira's plans.

However, someone unexpected spoke up.

"A-About that..." Aria muttered. "Can I get a bigger role in all of this? I mean, you don't even tell me the basic stuff. I only found out a few hours ago that we now have a guardian dragon in the city. That's big information, Rael... and I wish to know stuff like that."

Rael stared at her for a few moments, evaluating her.

Yet she avoided his gaze, as did the other women aside from Zafira and Linlin.

He was sure that he had his new stats to blame, but if she couldn't handle this much pressure, what good would she be in serious situations?

"What level are you?" Rael asked flatly.

"Me? Oh, right." Aria cleared her throat and puffed her chest. "Level 110."

He sighed, turning to one person in particular.

"Linlin?"

"I've reached level 700 earlier," she replied. "Qiqi has also reached a high level, all thanks to the dungeon locations you had given us."

"Don't worry about it," Rael said with a smile.

Truthfully, he could include Aria in his plans, even some basic stuff.

But deep down, he was still wary about her being the daughter of the king of Yrgon.

Naturally, feeding her too much information would come back to bite him in the ass.

And that's all because Yrgon has been denying our embassy, Rael thought with a slight frown.

The deal they had made included an embassy clause.

Celestara may station a single embassy inside Yrgon's capital, Varnak.

But even after all this time had passed, no moves were made.

Halemire was ignoring their letters, and he wasn't sending the dwarves over either.

Basically, it was a situation where Rael needed to deal with it firsthand.

And only then would he have the confidence to relay some important information to Aria.

"Linlin, when are you heading into a dungeon next?" Rael asked.

"Hmm... tomorrow? I'm bringing a few members of Radiant Dawn. At least the ones who are currently on this continent. Why?" Linlin replied, tilting her head.

But that was when she finally clocked what he had in mind.

"You want me to help Aria level up?"

"You want me to do what now...?" Aria mumbled, puzzled. "I'm not a fighter, Rael."

"You're not, but I believe increasing your level might actually improve your painting skills," Rael stated. "So for the time being, I have a goal for both of you."

He cleared his throat, glancing at Linlin and Aria.

"Linlin, I want you to reach level 1,500 by the next time I see you."

Then, he turned to Aria.

"And as for you... ideally, try to reach level 1,000. If you don't, 800 is the bare minimum," he added, causing both of the women's eyes to widen.

"You want what now...? Level 1,500 and level 1,000? Just how long are you planning to head out for? A year?" Linlin asked, disbelief clear in her tone.

"A month or so," Rael replied plainly. "So yes, I expect you to reach the bare minimum of what I'm asking. It won't be as hard as you think, trust me."

"I can vouch," Zafira said with a giggle as she rose 3 fingers. "Rael and I have already crossed level 3,000."

"..."

"..."

"..."

Everyone was speechless, especially the players beside them.

Rael let out a sigh as he patted Zafira's head.

"Well, cat's out of the bag now, isn't it?" Rael mused, staring at the camera above Asimov's head.

"You people can come over whenever you like. Celestara is open to everyone, except for the people who plan on supporting the Blazing Sun faction."

Rael stepped closer, a faint smile appeared on his face.

"But despite our departure, the auctions will go on," he stated. "The items will be of higher quality, so I'll give you all a bit more time to gather the necessary resources. And by that, I mean money."

Rael straightened his back confidently.

"Two weeks. In exactly two weeks, 5 items will be auctioned. Their quality will be hundreds of times higher than what you are used to, and for those who decide to participate, I suggest you prepare a few billion at the very least."

With that, he turned around, preparing to head back with Zafira into their home above Celestara.

But he soon stopped.

"Huh...? Aren't you...?"

In front of him was a familiar figure.

It was the medusa he had met while searching for the duke's daughter, Anath.

And like before, she wore the goggles he had bought her.

—Medusa (Leader Class Boss) [Level 684] [74.86 Billion / 74.86 Billion HP]

An awkward smile appeared on the Medusa's face as she slowly tilted her head.

"Umm... hi?"
