Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 476: War Event: ________ Battle

Almond and other God Council members got the options to choose for the War event—Lily, Admiral Rudra, Big D, Kexell, Krala, and Yorbax, who was the most powerful after Lily in the former ruined Achromatic familia.

Everyone looked at the list and soon selected five options after discussing them with each other.

The Rattengutta familia also selected their options shortly.

[ Both familia have selected their options. The random selection begins. ]

In the sky, and also in front of everyone's eyes, a roulette appeared with ten sections, each one having the name of the War Event, and the familia's name on top of the sections, displaying the options each familia selected.

As the roulette began spinning, all the live streams showed it.

People watched in eagerness and anticipation.

What was going to be the event?

Five seconds later, the roulette swiftly began slowing down as five seconds more passed before it completely stopped.

The section that appeared before the needle was — Rattengutta's Choice - 50-Round Battle.

Almond and others looked at the details of this war event.

"They think we don't have fifty elites," Lily said as her eyes flickered. "Very well."

On the other hand, Rattengutta familia was overjoyed.

A 50-round Battle meant that there would be fifty rounds total, and each round could only be fought by a single individual one time. No same individual can participate again.

In the eyes of everyone, the strongest were obviously Almond and Lily, because both of their actions had been seen by the rest.

Many had also seen Admiral Rudra, so they knew he was strong, too.

But there were going to be fifty rounds of the battle of 1v1, and the familia that won the most round would be the victor in this war.

To them, this was a little bit less than ideal, because the ideal was 100 Round Battle, and it was the maximum in this category where 100 different individuals from each side would have 1v1 combat.

[ The War Event has been selected. Due to it being a 50-round battle, the battlefield for each round will be randomized. ]

[ Now, both familia must first select the 50 individuals from their familia. Get on the stage. ]

Above the city, two massive platforms appeared, with a 100-meter distance between them.

One had Rattengutta carved in large golden letters while the other had Regalon carved in the same type of letters.

Almond and Lily looked at the large army that just arrived, standing in different groups in the sky with each group leader floating at the forefront.

Almond, Lily, and Admiral Rudra first went there on the platform before they began choosing the other 47 people to participate in this war event.

Shortly, the list was completed.

Almond could add more Spirit Lords, but these six had the highest Trinity Force gathered so far even though they were not necessarily the strongest in combat ability. Still, In terms of skill, all Spirit Lords had their specialty and weren't too far off from each other in combat power.

The rest of the Regalon army stayed behind the platform, creating chairs using their elements and sitting to watch the war.

Rattengutta had also finished their selection, prompting Grimworld to continue.

[Now that both familia have selected their war participations, the first round shall begin. Chiefs of both familia may choose who to select for this round in five seconds.]

[ 5 ]

[ 4 ]

[ 3 ]

[ 2 ]

[ 1 ]

Both had finished the selections.

Almond used a Randomizer he created to choose a random number between 1 to 50.

The number that came up was 45, so the first round belonged to Alfred.

"Go, Alfred. Win me this round."

"As you wish, Master."

Alfred vanished and one person from Rattengutta also vanished.

Two screens appeared facing both groups, showing the same scenery of a battlefield.

The devices of all streaming organizations had arrived, and this was airing on every floor because it concerned the familia that was blazing through floors with utter dominance.

In the battlefield shown on the screens,

The sky rippled like ink dropped in water as two figures emerged upon a fragmented floating arena of obsidian and amber light—scattered remnants of a dead realm repurposed for this round.

On one side stood Alfred the Imperial Warbound Butler, calm, elegant, in his tailored black war coat stitched with cosmic runes. His white gloves glinted with a faint holy radiance, and his left eye briefly shimmered gold—the Eyes of Truth awakening.

On the other side, a tall, many-armed alien warrior who had joined the Rattengutta familia unfurled his form—Xokarn the Blightglaive Herald, of the extinct Varranuuk species, his flesh composed of glimmering blight-stone and iridescent moss. Eight arms twitched, each holding a jagged noxious-forged weapon. His aura spilled madness and pestilence, the battlefield beneath him already rotting.

He was tall, monstrous, clad in rust-colored bone armor, and his breath sounded like the clashing of bells in a black cathedral.

Xokarn struck first.

A blur—eight glaves slashed in layered dimensions, bending angles, trying to shear Alfred's presence itself. Each blow carried ancient viral glyphs meant to corrupt time, memory, and matter.

But Alfred…

He side-stepped.

Each motion was minimal. Efficient. Silent.

Tap.

His polished shoe clicked once against the platform.

"Oath of the King's Blade," he murmured.

A translucent sigil flared beneath his feet. In his hand appeared a long rapier with a handle like a coiled dragon—his Regalon Spirit Armament.

A white gleam flashed—and one of Xokarn's eight arms fell, severed cleanly, before even the echo of Alfred's blade swing reached the air.

Xokarn shrieked.

He launched himself backward, forming a glyph of pestilent dusk to summon a miniature realm of screaming roots. Vile chains of infection burst forward—

Alfred raised his left hand slightly.

Black Scales.

A ripple of ruin spread from his chest, shattering the chains mid-air with a brittle crack-crack-crack, like glass breaking across the cosmos. The chains disintegrated, unacknowledged by reality.

"Authority revoked," Alfred stated.

Xokarn charged again, this time phasing his body in and out of space. But Alfred—his eye glowed again.

Eyes of Truth locked onto his trajectory.

And then—Warbound Legion's March.

Dozens of golden afterimages of Alfred surged forward like ghostly knights, each performing elegant countermeasures.

They didn't land strikes.

They guided Xokarn.

Each flick, step, and parry nudged him subtly into a new direction… until—

Trial of Faithbound.

Alfred reappeared behind Xokarn.

"Illusion of dominance dispelled," he whispered.

He sheathed his blade.

Xokarn's entire form convulsed, erupting into violent eruptions of golden fractures. His body was torn from within—by the invisible sentence that had already been passed the moment he fell into Alfred's orchestrated rhythm.

He collapsed, blade arms shattered, noxious-forged glyphs breaking apart like brittle sand.
