Quick Transmigration: Irresistible Beauty

Chapter 292: The Gentle Psychiatrist (62)

"May I ask who you are?" Yue Ran asked with a slight frown on her face.

"I am Cheng Feng," the man answered in a confident tone.

Yue Ran: Oh, I see. So this is the elder brother of the male protagonist. He looks pretty good in the eyes, but... not her type.

Yue Ran nodded understandingly in her mind.

Ruan Ruan: Master, please do not pretend as if you do not know him!

"Oh, hello," Yue Ran said. "It is nice to meet you."

Yue Ran had no other extra reaction other than standing up from her seat and nodding to the man in a polite manner.

Cheng Feng felt taken aback when he was greeted with such a cold reception from the young woman. A response like this was not one that he had ever been faced with before.

Why did Yue Ran not seem to recognize him? Even if she does not know that he is a financial giant in the business world, she ought to at least be aware of the fact that he is Cheng Ying's elder brother, right?

"Do you not recognize me?" Cheng Feng asked.

Cheng Feng came out as a little bit too vain and egocentric when he posed this query.

Yue Ran quietly took a sip of wine and shook her head slightly as she answered, "Sorry, but I usually do not pay much attention to the outside world. I have something else to attend to, so I will take my leave first."

The young woman nodded politely to the man while graciously raising the glass of wine in her hand before she turned and departed the scene. She did not even give Cheng Feng any time to speak his piece before she had disappeared from his sight.

Yue Ran left so quickly because, just after that short interaction that she had with the man, she could feel that Cheng Feng was simply an uninteresting individual with little to no fun to play with. Therefore, there was no need for her to waste any more of her precious time on Cheng Feng, a man for whom she held zero to no interest.

Not to mention that Cheng Feng and her obedient little puppy, Cheng Ying, were enemies to begin with, even if they were brothers of the same blood.

Anyway, anything that holds an undesirable interest for Cheng Ying means that it would damage her own interest since Cheng Ying is her precious toy, so Cheng Feng, a man who only brings harm and no good, is useless to her.

Yue Ran: I hate being entangled with useless people the most.

As soon as Yue Ran once again walked into the hall, Cheng Ying immediately stuck to her side like strong and sticky glue. The young man had just finished a round of socializing and was now searching around for Yue Ran. It was for this reason that, as soon as Yue Ran showed up in his sight, he immediately shuttled to her side without wasting a breath.

"Would you like to dance?" Yue Ran asked the young man with a gentle smile.

"Yes, I would like to." Cheng Ying quickly gave a reply. He barely gave the words the young woman had uttered any thought.

The young man would never turn down any of Yue Ran's requests. After making such a choice, the two set down their wine glasses and moved to the dance floor in tandem.

Since Cheng Ying was clearly not very skilled at ballroom dancing, it was up to Yue Ran to take charge and lead him through the dance.

Yue Ran naturally hooked an arm around the neck of the young man to close the distance between them.

Cheng Ying's heart began to beat wildly again. His eyes were glued to her face without moving away, as if his eyes, heart, and spirit itself had been stolen away and were possessed by a witch, which in this case is Yue Ran.

"Tang Meng," Yue Ran abruptly stated the name of the female protagonist to the male protagonist in the middle of their dance. "Do you remember her?"

"Um, I remember," Cheng Ying replied in a very docile and obedient manner.

"It seems that she had launched an investigation on me," Yue Ran said.

"Should I dispose of her?" Cheng Ying inquired with a very natural tone.

The young man spoke in a tone as though he were speaking of the weather tonight. But if a person with a normal psych and a right mind were to understand the straightforward meaning of what he was saying, they would only feel chills running down their spines.

Naturally, the two, Yue Ran and Cheng Ying, were not at all sane people by nature, so this conversation could be said to be just the norm for them.

"No need," Yue Ran said. "You can just go and help me see what information she has found out about me. If necessary, destroy those things that she had found, okay?"

"Um, okay," Cheng Ying answered with a sound of agreement. "Then I will come back for a hug after I am done with it."

"Okay," Yue Ran said. "I will give you whatever you want then."

Cheng Ying felt as though his heart seemed to be filled with honey. There was no longer any depression or sadness, only sweetness and relaxation, as if his back had fallen to the soft cotton clouds, gentle and soothing.

This was happiness.

This was happiness that he could only get by being able to stand by Yue Ran's side.

Yue Ran smiled gently at the young man, as if she were able to read his mood.

In order to train a dog, one must be able to pay attention and distinguish between reward and punishment so that the dog can be obedient and will unswervingly trust him or her.

And look how far the male protagonist has gotten from the thin and gloomy self he was before.
