Chapter 12: The Revelation
"Hello... Daniel," said Suhyeon, who was walking through the streets of Gangbuk at night, holding his cell phone to his left ear.
"Huh? Who am I talking to?" Daniel asked through the iPhone.
"I heard you wanted to see me, but unfortunately I'm no longer at the beach. I want you to come to the hospital, where your former leader is."
At that point, the call went silent for several seconds, while Suhyeon just smiled, waiting for this reaction.
"You... are..."
"Yes, I'm Suhyeon. Haru gave me your contact information."
"I see... then I'll see you there... Fuda Yaburi."
He then hung up the call.
"Shit... I wanted to hang up on him," he exclaimed, looking at his now-turned-off cell phone, then putting it away.
"I hope everything goes according to plan," he said as he took a cigarette out of his pack and lit it with his lighter.
Suhyeon walked toward the hospital, smoking calmly while thinking about his plan. "First stage, get Daniel to come to the hospital, almost done," he thought.
"Second stage, I'll have to reveal everything I know about him and Number 1, and if it doesn't work out and he doesn't join my team, then I'll have to move on to Plan B, use Johan Seong," he finished thinking, then exhaled the smoke from his mouth.
When he reached the hospital doors, Suhyeon put out his cigarette and looked around.
A few steps from the entrance, sitting on the stairs, was Johan Seong.
His childlike appearance contrasted with his height of 1.87 meters, and his slim, slender physique seemed almost fragile. His brown hair was styled in a mullet, with bangs that barely covered his black eyes with a slight gray tint.
Johan looked down, a neutral expression on his face.
Suhyeon approached him, smiling slightly. "Johan," he said softly. Johan looked up and met Suhyeon's gaze, his expression unchanged.
"I don't like you using me for this kind of thing," Johan Seong said with a sigh.
"Come on, it's no big deal. After all, we're friends," Suhyeon said as he approached and Johan stood up.
Then they shook hands.
"I haven't seen you in a while," Suhyeon added in an amused tone, unable to hide his excitement at seeing Johan. (He's his fan :'v)
"It's only been a week," Johan said, as a drop of sweat fell from his brow.
"Besides, you kept sending me messages," Johan exclaimed with a wry smile.
"Hahaha, don't friends send each other messages?" Suhyeon replied with a light laugh.
"Well... tell me, what needs to be done?" Johan asked, changing his tone of voice to a more serious one.
Suhyeon leaned forward slightly, his gaze becoming more intense. "The truth is, Daniel currently wants to destroy me and all of West Gangbuk. But I have a plan to bring him over to our side."
"Bring Daniel over?" Johan repeated, his eyebrow raised in surprise. "How do you plan to do that?"
"I have information that could change his mind," Suhyeon replied with a sly smile. "And I also have something that could make him feel drawn to us. But I need you to be prepared for anything, because if my plan doesn't work, we'll have to take more... drastic measures."
"And what role do I play in all this?" Johan asked, his curiosity piqued.
"You will be my wild card," Suhyeon replied. "If Daniel doesn't join us after I show him my proposal, then you will have to intervene. Your strength and skills could be the deciding factor in getting him to join West Gangbuk."
Johan nodded slowly, his mind already working on the possible consequences of what Suhyeon was proposing.
"But let it be clear that I will only help you with this," said Johan Seong, recalling the moment he met Suhyeon. "After all, you helped my mother regain her sight... I owe you one."
"Yes, yes, I don't like depending on anyone either, after all," replied Suhyeon in a neutral tone, as if he understood the situation perfectly.
Minutes later.
Daniel walked slowly toward Suhyeon, his hands in his pockets and a wry smile on his face.
"So you're Suhyeon Kim," he said. "You're just as I imagined."
Suhyeon smiled slightly. "Nice to meet you."
Daniel stopped in front of Suhyeon and looked at him curiously. "Well? What do you want from me? Why did you bring me here?"

Suhyeon leaned forward slightly, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "I want you to join me."
Daniel raised an eyebrow. "Join you? Why would I do that?"
Suhyeon looked Daniel straight in the eye. "Because I know what Choyun did to you. I know what he took from you. Sechan Kang... Does that name ring a bell?"
Daniel's expression changed dramatically. His wry smile faded, and his gaze became intense and serious.
Then he spoke in a low, controlled voice.
"What exactly do you know?" he asked, his tone a mixture of curiosity and caution.
Suhyeon smiled slightly, but his gaze was intense. "I know that Sechan Kang was your friend, your brother in every way except blood. And I know that Choyun killed him, or rather, left him in a coma."
Silence fell again. Daniel couldn't believe this. (He's hallucinating :'
"Could it be that Haru... told him everything about... no, no, that can't be, she doesn't know what happened, so... How did this guy find out?" Daniel thought, without taking his eyes off his enemy.
"Choyun isn't an ordinary human, is he? You know what I mean, you saw it. You saw how he was sucked in and left in that deplorable state."
"Okay, now you have my full attention," Daniel replied. "That makes me think that you... are just like him."
Suhyeon smiled and clapped ironically. "You're very smart, Daniel." His tone was sarcastic, as if he didn't really believe in Daniel's intelligence.
However, Daniel didn't seem to notice the sarcasm and kept his gaze fixed on Suhyeon, trying to read between the lines.
"Let's say yes and no, but I didn't come here to talk about myself," said Suhyeon. "Let's make a deal quickly, as time is running out. Even though you can't see it, I put up a transparent barrier to block any intruders who are watching... I mean, Choyun."
"What?" asked Daniel, surprised. "A barrier? How is that possible...?"
"Yes, one of his abilities allows him to see through others," Suhyeon explained. "So let's move on quickly. My proposal is this: act normally. The time will come when I defeat the Eastern school, and then the battle against the North will begin. But we will ask for two months' time."
Daniel took a moment to process the information. "I understand. And what are you going to do in those two months?" he asked, his gaze intense.
"During those two months, I will become strong enough to defeat Choyun," Suhyeon replied confidently. "I can assure you of that."
"Sounds good," Daniel said, "but I need to know you're willing to do whatever it takes to defeat him. We can't afford to fail, if we do..."
Suhyeon nodded. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I have no intention of failing."

Message from the author:
For the next chapter, would you prefer me to include a flashback about how he got involved with Johan, or should we stay in the present and then add the past about how they met?
I'm all ears, I'll read them.
