Primordial Lust System

Chapter 44: Merge

"Finally!" Aurelian smirked, his obsidian eyes locked on the notification that blinked in front of him as he drained his seed deep into Lena's pussy.

[Ding! C-rank talent, Iron Skin, has been replicated! Your skin is your armor. With a thought, conjure a shield of defense to encapsulate your being, shielding you from blades and attacks for a while.]

"Was wondering when I would get one of those..." he breathed raggedly, his cock slipping out of Lena's pussy, his eyes scanning the newly replicated talent.

A defensive one, it was a new trophy to his collection. Besides, he already had a growing arsenal of attacking abilities; this ought to turn out real useful. He smirked, draping back his robe and cloak.

Now all that left one thing, he mused, feeling anticipation bubbling deep within, sparked alone by the thought.

"Merging time!" He had long decided to merge the illusion talent with his Embers of Spectral Death talent.

Speaking of it, he recalled its description at the back of his mind.

[Ding! B-rank talent, Veil of Illusion, has been replicated! With a single thought, bend reality to your will. With enough willpower, alter what your foe sees. The battle is the chessboard; you its grandmaster.]

Inhaling sharply, he analyzed both talents deeply, curiosity gleaming in his eyes before he whispered:

"Merge Veil of Illusion with Embers of Spectral Death."

As soon as he uttered the words, he plopped to the ground, snapping his eyes tightly shut, drawing his attention deep inside him as he tried to feel for the changes occurring.

His face scrunched up, frowning as he felt the familiar overwhelming surge of energy. Only this time, instead of allowing it to light up fully, making his skin glow ethereally, he suppressed it, absorbing all the energy deep inside him, trying to rein in everything.

And it worked—mostly—leaving only a goldish sheen that covered his body, glowing ever so faintly, giving him a mysterious aura.

From another point of perspective, all that could be seen was a young youth sitting in lotus position, his skin glowing every now and then. But internally, a whirlwind of changes raged deep inside him.

The golden energy seeped deep into his bones and organs, leaving sigils and runes wherever they passed. An impeccable formation unraveled deep within him, but before he could analyze it, the familiar nerve-wracking pain exploded inside. The runes ruptured into wisps of light that surged into his body.

His concentration momentarily disrupted, he tried his best to calm himself, enduring the pain. As he did, a thought suddenly clicked at the back of his head: instead of enduring and bracing himself against the pain... he gave in to it.

Letting it wash over him, embracing it all, the results were already prominent a few seconds later. His mind grew hazy, his body being torn apart then reforged as his abyssal eyes lit up with realization: pain is but a fleeting illusion.

Spreading his arms, he straightened to his feet, a grin stretching across his face as a smirk hung from his lips.

"Clarity!"

As the words parted from his lips, a mystical change unraveled deep within him. His previously cloudy mind turned sharp, his eyes narrowing as he uttered almost naturally:

"Your influence has no part in me... I am the @£#&'* of Lust!"

Boom! A torrent of energy detonated in his body. The pain searing across his flesh disappeared instantly. More importantly, his eyes were no longer obsidian but lit up in a bloody crimson light before fading slowly.

"I can feel it," Aurelian muttered. He could feel a power beyond his imagination enter his grasp, his eyes widening in surprise.

"I can numb pain?" he blurted, his jaw dropping. Does that mean I have perfect control of my emotions? he mused, pacing around the room, now deeply entranced in thought.

This Primordial Will of Lust was growing more interesting by the second. He had to fully test it out real soon.

But first... he sighed, shifting his attention to the hovering notification before him.

[Ding! The S-rank talent: Embers of Spectral Death has merged with the B-rank talent: Veil of Illusion to become mid-tier S-rank: Embers of Illusory Spectral Death.]

(The light is life, the darkness death. By merging two concepts that repel each other, you have grasped the power to wield what lies in between. With a thought, form spectral blades of death that, upon impaling your foes, devour their lifeforce, channeling ten percent to you while the rest is consumed by the blades. Your foes shall be your fuel; your death, your rebirth. The battlefield your haven.)

-->

(Illusion and reality. Life and death. All supreme concepts merged into illusory death. With your will as the conduit, summon blades that hover between illusion and reality, becoming soul-severing weapons. Absorb the souls of the fallen to grow stronger, while imbuing yourself with the power to see beyond the physical, into the metaphysical, for a short while, and power to alter it. Your foes shall be your fuel; your death, your rebirth. The battlefield your haven.)

"Supreme concepts? Reality and illusion? Metaphysical?" Aurelian mumbled, feeling a headache already incoming. His abilities were growing more complicated, their descriptions growing longer with them.

But more importantly was the feeling that surged through his body. His body hadn't grown stronger, per se, but he felt he could crush his previous self with just a snap of his fingers.

His chest also burned with power, he didn't have to check to know it was his Embers of Illusory Spectral Death being anchored to his being.

Multiple questions flared at the back of his mind as he noticed the talent shift from S-rank to mid S-rank. Could merging talents upgrade them? And more importantly, how the fuck would his newly redefined talent improve his combat ability? His body was practically itching to dive back into a dungeon to test it out.

But all his thoughts were held back by a thread of reason. Since he had already made up his mind to head back to the dungeons, why not finish all this once and for all?

Breathing deeply, his hand reached into his inner pocket, retrieving a bronze box, loot the goblin chieftain had dropped. Without hesitation, he unceremoniously opened it, unable to keep his curiosity at bay.

And what he saw next almost had him break out into a third-rate villain laugh. Still, he held it in, using his appraisal skill just to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

(Basic Interspatial Storage Ring. Crafted in the blood of the chieftain of the goblin warrior. Holds up to 5 meters of interdimensional space.)

"Argh! That's it! That's fucking it!" Aurelian breathed, his blood boiling, the promise of battle filling his eyes. It was about time he made another visit to the dungeon. He had leveled up too much, and it was time to test the full extent of his abilities.
