Chapter 160: Chapter 160: Scatter the Blossoms! Wedding Night!
Kazuki stepped onto the lawn to find Cassandra and Misty in the middle of a practice battle.
The field for their three-way match was already set up. After putting in so much effort, Cassandra's Paras was finally starting to fight properly.
Misty was clearly going easy on her, but even so, Cassandra's Paras and her Starmie were making steady progress.
"Paras, Spore!" Cassandra called out, excitement lighting up her eyes as Paras began to gain confidence. A pale yellow cloud of spores drifted through the air.
"Staryu, spin and dodge!" Misty countered calmly.
Seeing the opening, Cassandra clenched her fists and pushed on. "Paras, Slash, now!"
Watching Paras carry out her commands with increasing precision made Cassandra beam with joy. Her short skirt fluttered in the breeze, revealing long, slender legs and the lace trim of her underwear.
Kazuki, standing at a distance, couldn't help but grin, his eyes lighting up. "What a lovely view," he thought.
At that moment, Suzie approached with a drink in hand. Following Kazuki's gaze, she caught sight of Cassandra's energetic movements and laughed softly.
"Kazuki, where exactly are you looking? Your eyes look ready to pop out."
Kazuki took the drink and tried to play it cool, sipping before flashing a grin. "I'm just checking how Paras is doing, that's all."
"Oh? Paras? I thought maybe you were trying to help Cassandra pick out more appropriate clothes," Suzie teased with a sly smile.
Kazuki choked a bit on his drink and shot her a mock glare, gently bumping her shoulder. "Suzie! When did you start talking like Misty, huh? All these jokes?"
Suzie giggled. "It's all Misty's influence! But seriously—" she lowered her voice conspiratorially, "—are you thinking of making a move on Cassandra? I can tell she's pretty into you."
"Make a move on her?" Kazuki pondered, recalling Cassandra's grandmother and the mysterious "Potion" she'd prepared. "It's not a bad idea. That figure of hers would definitely feel amazing! I wonder if she's still got that innocence or if she's already let go of such things. Plus, there's that potion to consider—could be quite the experience!"
"Potion? Huh? What are you talking about?" Suzie scratched her head, clearly confused about the mention of any potion.
"Who knows, there might even be some 'first-time' perks to claim!"
"What's with you today, Suzie?" Kazuki felt she was acting unusually bold. "Normally, when we're messing around, you're too shy to say much. What's gotten into you?"
Suzie blushed slightly. "It's… well, it's that time of the month, okay? I'm feeling extra sensitive. I was talking with Misty about this stuff too, but seeing how fit she looks after all that training, I'm worried I might accidentally… you know, stir up her urges! So—"
She suddenly realized she was oversharing and covered her mouth.
Kazuki gave her a teasing grin. "Look at you, telling me everything. Little Suzie…"
Suzie shrank back, her face turning red. "Uh… you… just keep checking out the pretty views!" With that, she quickly scurried away from Kazuki's side.
His eyes drifted back to Cassandra, watching her skirt swirl as she moved, then opened Haunter's status panel to check on its changes after the potion.
[Pokémon: Haunter]
[Base Stats: 310]
[Level: Lv28 (Advanced)]
[Potential: Elite Four Level]
[Ability: Levitate—Floats above the ground, rendering it immune to Ground-type moves]
[Moves: Mean Look, Curse, Millennium Dark Pulse, Giga Drain]
Kazuki scanned the panel and noticed Haunter's stats had increased, though not by much.
It seemed the potion's primary effect had been to counteract the backlash from Millennium Dark Pulse.
Just as Kazuki was about to close the panel, his eyes caught something that made him pause.
A flash of surprise crossed his face. "Giga Drain? How did Haunter learn this move? This is a Grass-type move! This isn't a game—there's no TM or move tutor to teach moves outside a Pokémon's genetic inheritance. Could this be the effect of Cassandra's grandmother's mysterious potion? If so, this potion truly deserves to be called divine! No wonder Cassandra's father worked so hard to refine an even stronger version. This breaks all conventional rules! Even the system hasn't rewarded me with anything that can add moves like this!"
Kazuki muttered to himself, already imagining the potential impact of this skill.
"Giga Drain as a surprise finishing move? It's perfect for catching opponents off guard!" Not only could Giga Drain deal damage, but it also drained the opponent's stamina to replenish Haunter's own.
In a drawn-out battle, this move was absolutely game-changing.
"What are you smirking about, Kazuki?" Misty and Cassandra, having finished their battle, walked over to him.
"Nothing much. Just happy to see Paras using moves so skillfully in battle! I'm thrilled for Cassandra!" Kazuki decided to keep Haunter's newfound ability a secret for now.
Misty raised an eyebrow with a teasing smirk. "Or do you have some ulterior motives?"
Kazuki glanced over. Cassandra's face was flushed from exertion, her damp hair sticking to her cheeks, beads of sweat rolling down her waist.
Even her underwear looked soaked through.
Misty, in her form-fitting clothes, was drenched too, every curve accentuated. The sight was enough to make any man dizzy, but Kazuki kept his cool.
"You two, it's just a practice match. Why are you sweating like you just ran a marathon?" he teased.
Misty playfully glared at him. "It's called immersive commanding! It takes a lot of energy!"
Cassandra laughed. "Paras was doing so well, I couldn't help but move with it!"
Suzie came over with fresh drinks, now recovered from her embarrassment. "Alright, you two worked hard. Here—some cold drinks!"
Kazuki waved them off. "Okay, okay, I get it, you trained hard!".
Misty leaned closer, a sly grin on her face. "Did you enjoy the view earlier?"
Kazuki faked innocence. "What view?"
"Don't act dumb!" Misty laughed. "I made sure to give you a good show! You definitely saw Cassandra's underwear, right?"
Kazuki chuckled. Misty really did understand him inside out. "Well, thanks, babe!" He leaned in to kiss her but paused. "You're all sweaty right now. Later, okay?"
"What?!" Misty gasped in mock outrage.
Kazuki just laughed and kissed her forehead, smoothing her damp hair. "Besides, why didn't you wear a skirt too?"
"Huh? Me?" Misty took a sip of her drink. "You've seen me in every way already! Why are you hung up on a skirt?"
"There's a difference between a little accidental peek and a planned tease," Kazuki explained with a grin.
Misty scratched her head, still confused. "What difference? All you'd smell is sweat anyway! You into that? Next time I'll drag you up a mountain and sit on your face. Let's see how you like it then!"
Kazuki burst out laughing, pinching her cheek playfully as they walked back together.
In the following days, even though there were only a few major events, countless small details built up between them, deepening their bonds. By the third day, Kazuki's stamina had recovered enough to start throwing in a few flirtatious jokes again, part of his subtle plan to charm Cassandra.
Having grown up in the mountains, Cassandra had no defenses against Kazuki's teasing. Her feelings for him deepened day by day. Misty and Suzie, meanwhile, grew closer to her as well, gently encouraging her to consider Kazuki.
Finally, on the day the detox was to end, Cassandra rose early to prepare herbs for Kazuki, only to find her grandmother already at the pharmacy.
"Grandma? Why are you here?"
Her grandmother smiled mischievously. "I'm here to scatter the flowers and get you ready for your wedding night!"
Cassandra blushed furiously. "Wedding night?! Grandma!"
Her grandmother chuckled coldly. "Oh, don't act like it's not on your mind. Didn't you say Suzie would help Kazuki with the final detox? Why are you still here then?"
Cassandra lowered her head, cheeks burning. "I just wanted to help… to make sure everything was okay…"
Her grandmother tapped her on the head with her cane, shaking her head in mock dismay.
"Silly girl. I know exactly what's going through that head of yours. You've gotten so close to him these days that you're practically ready to give yourself to him. Fine, I'll handle Misty's detox. You focus on Kazuki, alright? Talk about whatever your heart wants."
With that, she shuffled out of the pharmacy, leaving Cassandra standing there, stunned.
Meanwhile, Kazuki was holding an adult Poké Ball, lost in thought, when he heard the old woman calling. He quickly tucked the ball away.
"Morning, Grandma!"
"Don't call me Grandma—makes me feel ancient! Cassandra's waiting in the pharmacy. I'll handle Misty's detox today. And my legs aren't what they used to be, so have Suzie come help me!"
Kazuki chuckled as he watched her hobble away. This old lady really doesn't beat around the bush.
After letting Misty and Suzie know, he headed to the pharmacy, where Cassandra was waiting. As usual, he stripped down and sank into the medicinal bath. But this time, something felt different. Cassandra had warned him the sensations might change as his body healed, so he didn't think too much of it.
Cassandra approached with the herbal paste, but her breath caught in her throat. Just being near him, inhaling the warm, faintly herbal air, made her heart race.
The memory of his powerful physique on that first day flashed through her mind, leaving her cheeks flushed. Why… why does it feel just like the first time?
Kazuki, meanwhile, also noticed the water seemed unusually hot today.
As Cassandra stepped closer, the rising steam wrapped around them both, making the air feel heavy and charged.
Their eyes met. Kazuki's breathing was ragged, the humid heat brushing against her face. Cassandra felt her pulse hammer in her chest. The moment seemed to stretch, the warmth turning into something more intimate.
"Cassandra, how's the water today?" Kazuki asked, voice low.
She swallowed hard. "It's… different today. Hotter. My heart's pounding."
Kazuki reached out, brushing her cheek. She didn't pull away, though she trembled.
"What's so good?" he pressed, leaning closer.
"I… I really like you!" she blurted out.
Before she could say anything more, Kazuki kissed her.
Joy surged through him. How is everything going so perfectly today? Beneath the water, his excitement was impossible to hide. I'm… losing my mind! What even is this situation?!
He suddenly stood up, startling Cassandra, whose eyes widened—but then a spark of exhilaration flashed across her face.
"Kazuki… I can't hold back anymore!" Her body went weak, nearly collapsing, but Kazuki caught her.
"Alright then!"
Cassandra nodded frantically, voice shaking with anticipation. "I'll give you everything—I'm yours!"
