Chapter 92: Is the Level Invisible Because It Exceeds 100?

---

All of Hikaru's Pokémon, except for Latias, had lost their ability to fight.

Charizard, for the second time, had fallen in battle.

Even with its powerful recovery abilities, it was now entirely out of commission.

This was the most desperate moment Hikaru had faced since becoming a Pokémon Trainer.

If not for Latias's inherent resilience as a Legendary Pokémon, she wouldn't have lasted this long either.

Hikaru himself was drenched in sweat, on the verge of collapse.

His newly acquired Verdant Force was already operating at full capacity.

"Gardevoir…"

Only Gardevoir managed to regain consciousness, though weakly.

"Brat! Arbok, Poison Sting!"

Latias's Light Screen shattered under the attack.

The poisonous needles rained down, striking Latias. Some even bypassed her and flew toward Hikaru.

"Gardevoir!"

Seeing this, Gardevoir used the last of her energy to teleport in front of Hikaru, intercepting the attack.

"Gardevoir!"

Hikaru's heart clenched. It felt like a part of him was being ripped away.

Gardevoir, already exhausted, couldn't withstand the attack.

The poison needles passed through her seemingly fragile body, and she slowly fell to the ground.

Athena smirked.

"A Gardevoir that durable? How rare!"

She couldn't help but marvel. Every one of this boy's Pokémon was full of surprises.

A sorrowful melody began to echo.

Manaphy was singing again—this was the third time.

However, fewer water Pokémon answered the call than before.

Manaphy's energy was nearly depleted.

If it weren't for these water Pokémon providing support earlier, Hikaru wouldn't have lasted this long.

Hikaru checked Gardevoir's condition.

Relief washed over him.

[Purple Trait: Illusory Form]

Exclusive to Psychic Pokémon.

For three seconds, the Pokémon's body becomes intangible, making it immune to all attacks.

Cooldown: 23 hours, 59 minutes.

---

This trait had saved Gardevoir from certain defeat.

"Manaphy, that's enough…"

Hikaru could sense an approaching force. Finally, he could breathe easier.

"Manaphy…" (Dila… Hikaru… It's all my fault. I'm so useless.)

Latias patted Manaphy gently.

"It's okay, Manaphy. We'll handle it now."

More water Pokémon were defeated by Athena's team. She was visibly irritated.

Catching a few Gym-level Pokémon was taking far too long—almost half an hour!

This delay would make her the laughingstock of the other Elites.

She turned her gaze toward Hikaru, who seemed finally ready to give up.

Athena produced a few black Poké Balls.

Heaven and Earth Shift

At that moment, the sky darkened, and the ship trembled violently.

What was previously a twilight glow turned into an ominous haze, as though a prelude to a massive storm.

Moments later, torrential rain poured down.

A colossal, winged, blue Pokémon appeared from the clouds.

---

"Kyogre?!"

Kyogre, the legendary Pokémon of the seas, had arrived.

Its last recorded appearance was during its battle with Groudon.

That clash, though far from the shores of the dragon Kingdom, had triggered an enormous tsunami, devastating coastal cities.

Humans had since realized the god-like power possessed by some Pokémon.

Athena stared in shock.

Kyogre floated majestically in the air, scanning the battlefield.

Its gaze lingered on Manaphy and Hikaru.

One was a fellow guardian of the sea, emanating an aura of kinship.

The other… was a human.

Strangely, Kyogre felt an inexplicable sense of warmth toward this particular human.

"Kyogre…" (Manaphy… human…)

"Manaphy…"

Upon seeing Kyogre, Hikaru knew the crisis was over.

"Manaphy!" (Bad woman! She bullied Hikaru, Dila, and me!)

Manaphy, emboldened, flew up to Kyogre, nuzzling it affectionately and venting its grievances.

Athena was utterly dumbfounded.

What kind of Pokémon could summon a Legendary?

She glanced at her Pokémon—Arbok, Weezing—all immobilized by Kyogre's sheer presence.

This was the power of a god.

Kyogre turned its gaze back to Hikaru. Four towering energy pillars began forming around it, drawing immense power.

Origin Pulse.

---

"Wait!"

Hikaru struggled to his feet despite his exhaustion.

If Kyogre unleashed Origin Pulse, the entire ship—along with its thousands of passengers—would be obliterated.

Kyogre paused.

Hikaru exhaled in relief.

Athena, meanwhile, felt a chill run down her spine.

She knew full well what would happen if Kyogre's attack hit.

Realizing the situation was hopeless, she made her escape.

"Weezing, smokescreen!"

Thick black smoke enveloped the area.

Murkrow swooped down, grabbing Athena, and darted into the sky.

"Kyogre, redirect the Origin Pulse!"

Hikaru commanded.

Kyogre adjusted its aim, unleashing the devastating energy into the horizon.

The resulting explosion lit up the entire sky, leaving a massive scar across the heavens.

Athena barely escaped, her figure disappearing into the distance.

Hikaru shouted after her, "Team Rocket! Mark my words—I'll tear your organization apart someday!"

This wasn't just a threat; it was a promise to himself.

---

The ship's passengers began waking up, startled by the cacophony.

They opened their eyes to witness an unforgettable scene: a human commanding Kyogre, the legendary Pokémon.

"Manaphy!" (We did it!)

Manaphy cheered, celebrating Athena's retreat.

Kyogre turned to Hikaru one last time.

"Kyogre…" (Human, your trouble is resolved. I can't stay here long—Groudon may come looking for me.)

Even Kyogre didn't fully understand why it felt such affection toward this human.

"Thank you, Kyogre. You've saved us all."

Hikaru used his Detective Lens to examine Kyogre's stats.
