Chapter 87: Champion-Tier Gardevoir and the Prince of the Sea!

On the vast ocean

A battered Golbat flapped its wings wearily, carrying a wounded man—its trainer. Both were riddled with injuries.

The pirate leader gritted his teeth in frustration.

To escape the battle, he had sacrificed his own Forretress, forcing it to use Explosion.

"Damn that brat! Just wait! Once I report to the Queen about that mythical Pokémon, you'll regret this!"

Despite his threats, the pirate leader's heart sank as he looked out over the endless ocean.

"Golbat…"

As if to add insult to injury, his Golbat finally ran out of stamina, its wings faltering.

"Hold on, Golbat! We're almost there!"

But it was too late. The next moment, both trainer and Pokémon plunged into the sea.

Three Days Later – The Island

The Pokémon Alliance's rescue team, led by the water-type Elite Four member Aqua Grace, arrived on the island.

The captured pirates were taken into custody, and the hostages were saved.

Hikaru provided the Alliance with a detailed report of the events, including the discovery of the secret realm and its unique Pokémon inhabitants.

However, one detail shocked him:

The secret realm contained not one but two Tyranitars.

One of them was a Level 68 Tyranitar, a Pokémon at the Elite Four level and—coincidentally—the Father of the shiny Larvitar Hikaru had just caught.

When Hikaru announced his intention to take Larvitar with him, the towering Tyranitar's glare felt like it could pierce the heavens.

Luckily for Hikaru, the other Tyranitar had been preoccupied digging for Sand Gems at the time. Otherwise, things might not have ended so well!

When Aqua Grace arrived, Hikaru confidently turned to the father Tyranitar and said, "I'm taking your child."

It was akin to a brash youth showing up at a parent's doorstep, proclaiming: "I'm taking your daughter!"

Of course, that was just a joke. Hikaru wasn't that reckless.

In truth, the Tyranitar couple understood that following Hikaru would give Larvitar a better chance to grow stronger. They ultimately chose to stay in the secret realm, declining the Alliance's offer to become partners with human trainers.

Back at base camp

The trip to the island wasn't just a breakthrough for Larvitar. Both Froakie and Riolu had evolved as well!

Her name stemmed from her main Pokémon, a powerful Salamence, and she was feared as the leader of the ocean's most notorious pirate crew.

The pirate leader, battered and humiliated, knelt before her throne, trembling.

"You're certain the Pokémon you saw matches this image?"

Serene held up an illustration of Manaphy, the mythical Pokémon known as the Prince of the Sea.

"Without a doubt, Your Majesty! I even took a photo as proof!" The pirate leader presented his water-damaged phone.

"Useless!" Shui Ruo Hua snapped, shattering her wine glass in fury.

She ordered her technicians to extract the photo from the damaged phone.

Moments later, she stared at the screen, her gaze locking onto the clear image of Manaphy.

Her eyes glimmered with greed.

"Manaphy, the Prince of the Sea..." she muttered, clutching a piece of an ancient stone tablet.

The inscription hinted at a prophecy:

When Manaphy reappears, under the light of the red moon, the Ocean Shrine will rise once more.

Serene laughter echoed through the hall as she exclaimed, "Manaphy, with you, I will become the true ruler of the seas!"

Her gaze then shifted to the young man standing beside the mythical Pokémon in the photo.

"Whoever you are, boy, I'll find you—and I'll take what's mine."
