Chapter 129: Please Keep Your Card Safe
In the afternoon, Jeremy piloted the aircraft and delivered the goods that Angie needed for the small shop and daily necessities store. Angie, accompanied by Metagross and Gengar, unloaded the cargo from the aircraft, and the Pokémon nearby quickly gathered around upon seeing what was happening.
"Fletchinder~ Fletchinder~"
Angie, what are all these for?
Fletchinder flew to the top of Angie's head, eyeing the goods piled in the square with curiosity.
Angie explained, "These are for the store."
"Swablu~"
A store? What's that?
Swablu perched on Angie's shoulder, its face filled with confusion.
Other Pokémon also looked towards Angie.
So, Angie explained her plan for opening a store to everyone. While the Pokémon only half-understood, it didn't matter—they knew that Angie was working hard to improve their lives.
The Pokémon cheered with excitement and began hopping around the goods.
At that moment, Delphox and Greninja walked over. Initially, they were curious about why everyone had gathered, but they quickly saw Angie waving at them.
"You two came at the right time; I've already prepared your work for you."
The two Pokémon's eyes brightened at the news. They had been eagerly anticipating this.
Angie then detailed their roles: Delphox was appointed as the manager of the small store, while Greninja was to be the manager of the daily necessities store.
Delphox and Greninja were much smarter than the other Pokémon, and they immediately understood everything Angie explained. As Angie continued, their eyes grew brighter.
They liked this job.
Soon, all the goods were unloaded, and Jeremy boarded the aircraft again, saying to Angie, "Your Highness, I'll head back now. Please call me if you need anything."
His job was to be available to assist Angie at any time.
Angie waved at him, saying, "Thank you for your hard work. Be careful on your way back."
"Understood. Thank you for your concern, Your Highness."
With that, Jeremy piloted the aircraft away from the Nebel Plateau.
After sending off Jeremy, Angie turned to Delphox and Greninja, saying, "Let's go see where the store will be set up, and later we can come back and bring the goods inside."
"Delphox~"
"Greninja~"
Delphox and Greninja nodded.
Angie led the two Pokémon toward the elevator of the secret fortress. Halfway there, he suddenly turned around and called to the Pokémon that were gathered around the goods.
"Don't touch the goods randomly! Otherwise, you won't be good children. You can only buy them with your wages when the store opens!"
The Pokémon, who had been curious about the goods, immediately pulled their hands back upon hearing this, and they gave Angie silly grins.
"Don't cause trouble~"
After emphasizing this again, Angie continued on with Delphox and Greninja.
Just as Angie left, Pawmi suddenly popped up from somewhere, its eyes locked on the goods. Upon seeing a bag of lollipops, its eyes lit up, and it reached out to grab them.
Angie had bought these for it at the market—delicious!
Nearby, Lairon had spotted Pawmi's little move, and quickly grabbed it by the back of its neck with its mouth, lifting it into the air and halting its actions.
"Pawmi~ Pawmi~"
Let me go, let me go!
Pawmi struggled desperately, but at that moment, Espathra suddenly extended its head, its eyes glowing with powerful psychic energy.
"Espathra~"
Pawmi froze under its gaze and immediately stopped struggling. Lairon gently set Pawmi back down, and it scampered off.
Angie, along with Delphox and Greninja, took a quick tour around the staff dormitory, and soon they selected two suitable rooms to serve as the small shop and daily necessities store.
These two rooms were located near the living room area of the staff dormitory. The advantage of these rooms was their spaciousness, so even if many Pokémon entered at once, it wouldn't feel cramped, and they were easy to access.
After touring the two rooms with the two Pokémon, Angie said with satisfaction, "Alright, let's use these two rooms. The one on the left will be the small shop, and the one on the right will be the daily necessities store."
"Delphox~"
"Greninja~"
The two Pokémon nodded in agreement.
"Then, let's go bring the goods down," Angie said.
The two Pokémon followed Angie back upstairs, where they worked together with the other Pokémon to bring the goods into the staff dormitory.
While the Pokémon carried the goods, Angie stayed downstairs, directing them on where each item should be placed.
In fact, Angie could have used the system store to move everything at once, but the Pokémon were so eager to help, each one more than willing to assist. Angie decided to let them have their way, as it made them happy.
Once all the goods were downstairs, Angie took Delphox and Greninja and showed them what each item was for, explaining the purpose of the merchandise.
As the managers of the stores, they couldn't possibly not know what they were selling! Angie also explained pricing and other details.
Fortunately, there wasn't anything too complicated in the list of goods, so the two Pokémon picked things up quickly.
As Angie taught them the use of the items, he also explained how to categorize them and how to place them neatly on the shelves.
This teaching continued into the evening, and it wasn't until Diancie came to call Angie for dinner that Angie, Delphox, and Greninja realized how late it had gotten.
Looking at the neatly arranged products on the shelves, Angie told Delphox and Greninja, "Once our payment system is ready, we can open the store!"
"Delphox~"
"Greninja~"
Delphox and Greninja nodded eagerly, looking forward to the day the payment system was completed so they could start working immediately.
After breakfast the next day, Angie and his family went to the third floor to enjoy some family entertainment time.
While the other Pokémon were enjoying their own activities, Volcanion sat with its phone, watching a Pokémon soccer match.
At this moment, Angie approached Volcanion and whispered, "Volcanion, I need to discuss something with you."
Without looking up from the screen, Volcanion casually replied, "What is it?"
Angie leaned in closer and whispered, "In the future... could you leave your poop for me?"
"What?" Volcanion suddenly looked up, its voice raised.
Its shout caught the attention of Diancie, Magearna, Munchlax, and the others.
"What's wrong?" Diancie asked with a confused look.
Angie quickly shook his head, "Nothing, you guys go back to what you were doing. I'm just talking to Volcanion about something."
Hearing this, Diancie and the others returned to their own business.
Volcanion stared at Angie with a strange expression, "You... are you some kind of weirdo?"
Before Volcanion could finish speaking, Angie hurriedly explained, "Don't misunderstand! I want to use it to cultivate berry trees! Your poop is good for the trees."
Volcanion withdrew its strange gaze after hearing this.
"Is that alright?" Angie asked again.
Volcanion hesitated for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright."
Seeing that Angie had done such a good job with the construction of the Nebel Plateau, it wasn't impossible for it to make this small sacrifice.
"That's great!" Angie exclaimed with joy. "Then, in the future, you..." He and Volcanion then leaned in and started whispering to each other.
Not far away, Magearna saw their interaction and smiled.
That's wonderful!
After the evening training, Angie and the Pokémon returned to their rooms to sleep.
As usual, before going to bed, Angie opened the system, intending to collect the rewards for the daily tasks. To his surprise, he discovered that the [Temporary Task] had been completed.
[ (Temporary Task) Gain Volcanion's favor - Completed. ]
[ Reward: Waiting to be claimed. ]
When did this happen? Why? Why didn't he hear the system notification?
After thinking it over carefully, he guessed it might have been completed during the time he was at Munchlax's Home in the morning. He had been so busy that he didn't notice it.
Regardless, it was good that the task was completed.
Without hesitation, Angie claimed the reward.
[ Congratulations, Master, you have completed (Temporary Task) of gaining Volcanion's favor. ]
[ Reward: Constitution +2, Individual Value +2 ]
The reward was as expected.
...
[ Angie ]

Culinary Skill Rating: Just a beginner with a passable skill.
...
Aside from the constitution points from the task reward, Angie had also been working hard on his physical training, which had significantly improved his constitution.
With this level of physical strength, Angie felt that he could probably go toe-to-toe with high-level Pokémon in an arm wrestling match! He'd find someone to test it with soon.
As for the 2 individual value points, Angie didn't hesitate to add them to Munchlax. Munchlax was close to reaching full individual values, just a little more effort was needed!
...
Munchlax (Eviolite)

Ability: Thick Fat
Gender: Male

...
The Attack individual value, which was originally 29, had now been increased by 2 points, maxing it out. The only stat left with an incomplete individual value was Defense.
A satisfied look appeared on Angie's face.
Next, he claimed the rewards for the daily tasks, though they were rather insignificant.
Time for bed, time for bed!
Three days passed in the blink of an eye. That day, after finishing work at Munchlax's Home, Angie received a USB drive from Flamel, which containing the payment system that Angie had asked the royal scientists to develop.
Not long after receiving the USB drive, Angie received a call from Kimia.
On the phone, Kimia told Angie that the Nebel Plateau card he had customized was also ready, and that Jeremy would deliver it at noon.
After hanging up the phone, Angie eagerly ran home with his Pokémon and found Robert 2.0. He plugged the USB drive into the interface on the back of its head.
Robert 2.0 then said, "The system is loading, please wait a moment," and its eyes began flashing rapidly.
About a minute later, the flashing stopped, and Robert 2.0 spoke again: "Nebel Plateau payment system loaded successfully, welcome to use."
As soon as the system finished loading, Angie heard the sound of a flying vehicle landing outside. He quickly ran outside and saw Jeremy jumping down from the aircraft.
After landing, Jeremy waved at Angie, saying, "Your Highness, I'm here again!" He then held up a space backpack. "The things you asked for."
Angie waved at him, saying, "Come inside quickly!"
Hearing this, Jeremy immediately jogged to the door and handed the items to Angie.
After receiving the items, Angie said, "You've been a great help. Stay for lunch today!"
Jeremy wasn't shy. "Really? Then I won't hold back! I've been craving Your Highness's cooking."
Angie smiled and said, "Then you'd better eat your fill today, there's plenty!"
At lunch, Munchlax and the others, following Angie's instructions, prepared extra dishes. As expected, Jeremy ate to his heart's content and left with a round belly.
After lunch, Angie gathered all the Pokémon together and handed out the Nebel Plateau cards (hereafter referred to as Nebel Cards). He said to them:
"From now on, you can use the cards to make purchases."
During this period, Robert 2.0 had been recording the Pokémon's wages, and as soon as the cards arrived, Robert transferred the funds to them.
Each card was linked to the identity of its owner.
The Pokémon curiously examined the small, thin cards in their hands. The back of the card featured the beautiful scenery of Nebel Plateau, while the front displayed the sweet-smiling Diancie and the comically cute Munchlax.
Then, Angie said, "If anyone doesn't know how to use it, you can ask Delphox or Greninja. For now, if anyone wants to shop, you can head to the convenience store or the daily necessities shop."
He added, "But remember, be sensible and moderate in your spending."
Not only did the other Pokémon receive Nebel Cards, but even Diancie, Munchlax, and Drizzile did as well.
Upon hearing Angie's words, the Pokémon immediately rushed towards the convenience store and the daily necessities store.
The first one to arrive was Floette. She stood in front of the variety-filled convenience store, unsure of what to buy.
"Delphox~~"
What do you want to buy Floette?
After thinking for a while, Floette couldn't decide whether to buy this or that. Finally, Delphox suggested.
"Delphox~ Delphox~"
Why don't you go check over there? That's the daily necessities section, maybe you'll find something you want.
The convenience store sold snacks and toys, not necessities, so it wasn't urgent to buy from there. It would be fine to come back when the Pokémon were more familiar with it.
On the other hand, daily necessities were practical and always useful.
"Floette~"
Floette nodded happily and flew over to Greninja.
As soon as Floette left, Pawmi eagerly came running over. Standing on tiptoe, it pointed to a bag of lollipops and said clearly.
"Pawmi~ Pawmi~"
I want that!
"Delphox~ Delphox~"
No problem, I'll get it for you.
Saying this, Delphox handed the lollipop to Pawmi.
"Delphox~ Delphox~"
Give me your card.
"Pawmi~"
Pawmi nodded and handed over its card.
Delphox tapped on the machine in front of it twice, then swiped the card, completing the payment.
Handing the card back to Pawmi, Delphox reminded.
"Delphox~"
Keep your card safe. If you lose it, you won't be able to shop here anymore.
"Pawmi~"
Pawmi immediately hugged the Nebel Card protectively.
With the lollipop in hand, Pawmi eagerly tore open the wrapper and happily started licking.
When Delphox saw that Pawmi didn't leave but instead kept eyeing the various snacks on the shelf, it laughed and said, "Once you've bought what you need, you should leave. Don't waste your money, or you won't be able to buy anything next time."
At that, Pawmi reluctantly left while still looking wistfully at the shelves.
