Chapter 89: Ch-89

Will the Orange Islands fall into bad weather conditions because of the capture of Moltres, the God of Fire?

The audience at Gongmen Stadium watched the subsequent images with unease.

The image continued—

Orange Islands.

[It seems to be just as Professor Oak said.]

[When Moltres, the God of Fire, was captured, Mt. Ember, which was originally bright with fire, became dark.]

[The previously clear sky began to fill with dark clouds.]

[Strong winds blew, creating waves that crashed against the reefs, producing loud, ominous sounds.]

[At the same time, thunder echoed in the distance.]

[Then, several flashes of lightning illuminated the sky, their brightness as terrifying as divine judgment, and their sound as powerful as a waterfall.]

The clouds thickened, the winds grew harsher, and heavy rain began to pour from the sky.

[In an instant, the raindrops turned into torrents, and with a "whoosh," a downpour cascaded from the heavens, as if the sky itself was falling.]

Audience Seats—

"It seems... things are getting worse."

"How can it be just 'a little worse'? This is clearly a disaster! Mt. Ember is usually sunny because of Moltres. This kind of severe storm is unheard of."

"If the heavy rain continues, the sea level will rise. With a tsunami, many low-altitude islands might be submerged!"

The audience grew increasingly nervous.

The situation seemed to spiral out of control.

As the champion trainer of the Kanto Region, Tony was deeply concerned about the events unfolding.

But just as the tension peaked...

Things took a turn for the worse.

Screen Transition—

[A gloomy island appeared on screen. The entire sky above it was shrouded in dark clouds, with thunder and lightning roaring, creating a deafening noise.]

The wind howled, driving the rain down hard, and the ominous sky seemed ready to unleash further chaos.

[Within this dark expanse of thunderclouds, a bird Pokémon with yellow feathers emerged.]

[This large bird Pokémon had black, ring-shaped markings around its eyes and a long, sharp orange beak.]

[Its most striking feature was the spike-like feathers on its wings and tail.]

Palace Gate Stadium Champion Guest Seats—

"It's Zapdos," Diantha exclaimed.

Tony nodded solemnly.

"This must be the God of Thunder Zapdos."

"This Zapdos is far larger and more imposing than ordinary ones. The strong saffron-colored current surrounding its body suggests immense power. It truly lives up to its title as the God of Thunder."

Professor Oak confirmed this observation with a nod, but his expression remained grim.

The Video Continued—

[Zapdos, the God of Thunder, descended from the thunderclouds, its body crackling with electricity.]

[However, before it could react, the airship launched a freezing missile, its blue frost spreading quickly upon impact.]

[The ice immobilized Zapdos, freezing its wings and rendering it unable to fly.]

"Gah—"

[Zapdos struggled, but the mysterious capture ring was deployed once again.]

[Even as Zapdos unleashed powerful electrical attacks, the ring, made from a rubber material immune to electricity, held firm.]

[Despite its immense strength, Zapdos was subdued.]

Audience Reaction—

"What's going on?!"

"Zapdos too? This is terrible!"

"Who has the power to pull this off?"

Speculations ran wild.

Kanto Region Military Headquarters—

"What's this nonsense about blaming us?" Tony, a high-ranking executive, scoffed.

"We haven't planned anything involving legendary Pokémon lately. We've already moved on from those weaklings."

Even Giovanni, Team Rocket's boss, appeared puzzled. "Who could be interested in capturing the legendary birds?"

Palace Gate Stadium Guest Seats—

Tony expressed grave concern. "The God of Fire and the God of Thunder have been captured. I fear Articuno, the God of Ice, is next."

The camera transitioned to a new scene.

In the Picture—

[The airship approached Ice Island, where frigid winds blew relentlessly.]

[Enormous icebergs stretched toward the heavens, their peaks seemingly touching the clouds.]

[Amid the frozen terrain, Articuno, the God of Ice, battled fiercely against the airship.]

[Unlike before, the airship now used high-temperature thermal missiles.]

[The intense heat melted the ice, filling the air with thick steam.]

[Articuno retaliated with a freezing ray, but the airship countered with fiery missiles.]

[After a prolonged battle, Articuno was hit repeatedly, its strength waning. Eventually, the airship deployed another capture ring, successfully capturing the legendary bird.]

Palace Gate Stadium Guest Seats—

"The three legendary guardian Pokémon of the Orange Islands... have all been captured!"

President Damaranchi was in shock.

"If this continues, the Orange Islands will face catastrophic consequences!"
