Instead, he began moving forward to handle the Pokémon eggs.

Colton was actually joking earlier, and he quickly stopped entertaining those thoughts. Instead, he turned his attention to discussing the Pokémon eggs with Evan.

"Many of these Pokémon eggs were laid recently," Colton said. "They've all been registered. If you plan to hatch them, it may take a while, so keep that in mind. I've taken care of all the necessary procedures for you. Otherwise, I'd have been here ages ago. Now, all that's left is for you to sign and report it to the Alliance."

He had already completed the paperwork for Evan. As long as Evan signed and uploaded the information to the Alliance's system, the Pokémon eggs would officially belong to him. In the future, if Evan decided to sell any of the eggs, he would only need to register the buyer with the Alliance. This way, the Alliance could monitor the movement of Pokémon while simplifying the rest of the process for Evan.

Hearing Colton's explanation, Evan nodded. "Got it. I'm familiar with the process. I'll handle it and upload the details to the Alliance system."

After unloading the Pokémon eggs, Evan instructed Isla and the others to move them to the egg hatching house. Machamp and Mr. Mime handled the heavy lifting, while Isla and the rest carefully placed the eggs into machines pre-set to the correct temperatures. Meanwhile, Evan and Colton went to the living room, where Evan began entering the necessary documentation into the Alliance system to finalize the process.

Once everything was settled, Evan took care of Growlithe's bill. By the time they were done, it was already noon.

"Let's grab some lunch," Evan said. "Afterward, I'll take you on a tour of my breeding house. Sophia, you should join us too."

Hearing this, Sophia nodded. She was already well-acquainted with the people at the orphanage and planned to spend the whole day there. Having lunch together was a given.

As they headed to the car, Colton suddenly remembered something. He rushed back and retrieved a pile of items from the vehicle.

"Come give me a hand," he called. "Take all this stuff!"

Evan sighed at the sight. "You've bought a ton of things again, haven't you?"

It was a routine Evan had grown used to. Every time Colton visited, he brought an assortment of food and drinks—milk, snacks, and other treats for the children at the orphanage. Thanks to his generosity, the kids would have plenty to enjoy for days. This was probably one reason why the children were so fond of him.

With their arms full of supplies, Evan, Colton, and Sophia headed to the orphanage, with Isla and the others following close behind. Aunt Jenn and the others warmly greeted Colton when he arrived. After a hearty lunch, they set out to tour Evan's breeding house.

When Colton finally saw the room filled with Gardevoir and Shiny Pokémon, he was utterly speechless. The Gardevoir and the other Pokémon had been resting in the backyard earlier, so he hadn't noticed them before. Now that he did, he was completely overwhelmed.

"What's going on with you? I thought having one Shiny Pokémon was impressive, but now you're telling me you have a whole collection of them?"

Seeing Colton's astonished expression, Evan couldn't help but smirk. "What's the big deal? You're overreacting."

"Redneck!"

"You've clearly never seen the world," Evan shot back with a smirk, before muttering under his breath, "ignorant…"

After hearing Evan's comment, Colton couldn't hold back and cursed under his breath.

"Seriously?!" Colton growled, glaring at Evan. This guy always knew how to push his buttons.

Even though Colton was angry, he knew he couldn't win against Evan. Frustrated, he could only stew in silence while Evan chuckled to himself.

After teasing Colton for a while, Evan led him on a tour of his breeding house and orchard. As they walked through the property, Colton couldn't help but be impressed.

"Your setup is leagues ahead of most breeding houses I've seen," Colton said in awe. "If anyone told me a recent graduate managed all this, I wouldn't believe them without seeing it firsthand."

The advanced equipment and pristine organization of Evan's breeding house were enviable. It was comparable to those of the largest operations in the region. If Evan kept this up, it was only a matter of time before his breeding house became one of the most prominent in the area.

After marveling at the facilities, Colton turned to Evan. "Have you thought about expanding into a chain? You could start here and open more locations. It'd be a hit."

Evan shook his head with a knowing smile. "Not a chance. Why compete with those massive breeding chains when it's already so competitive? It's too much hassle. I'm happy with how things are now."

"Running chain stores would mean training a bunch of breeders, managing staff, and dealing with endless logistics. No thanks. Besides, have you noticed how those fancy mecha breeding houses are struggling to stay afloat? The profits aren't what they used to be.

"These days, most elite Trainers have personal breeders for their Pokémon. They don't bother with the big houses anymore. I'd rather stick to my high-end niche—custom energy cubes. That alone keeps me ahead."

Colton nodded as Evan's reasoning sank in. "You're right. Makes sense to focus on what works best for you."

Deciding to drop the topic, Colton changed the subject. "I'll be heading out on a new journey soon. If you ever need Pokémon eggs, just let me know. My dad can arrange to deliver them to you at a great price."

"Sounds good," Evan said. "And if you ever need Pokémon care, bring them here. I can customize energy cubes to match their needs. Guaranteed satisfaction."

Evan smiled, thinking about how their partnership could benefit his business. With Colton's help, he could expand his reach without the stress of opening new locations.

Hearing this, Colton's face lit up. "That's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about! I've been meaning to order some custom energy cubes for my team. Let's go back and sort out the details right now."

Colton practically sprinted off toward the house. Seeing his eagerness, Evan quickly followed, laughing at how cooperative his friend was being.

"Well," Evan thought, "looks like today's investment is already paying off."
