Pokémon: Day Bringer

Chapter 97: First Bond Evaluation

The next day, Haru was still training his Pokemon, as Haru saw his shiny Treecko get sent flying by one of his Pokèmon as he walked up too his Treecko.

Haru looker at Treecko as he spoke. "Ok time too come back".

He tryed too return Treecko to his Pokeball, but Treecko just moved away, as Haru tryed again, from a different side Rose spoke. "Wow he finally got a Pokemon as stubborn as him".

Haru turned to Rose, his expression a mix of amusement and mild frustration. "I don't know whether to be impressed or annoyed. He's just like me."

Rose laughed, leaning against a nearby tree with her arms crossed. "Well, it looks like you've met your match. He's got that same stubborn spark you have. Guess you're in for a fun time with him."

Haru sighed, reaching down once more to gently coax Treecko into returning to his Pokéball. Treecko, however, simply crossed his arms and shot Haru a defiant look, refusing to be captured.

"I'm trying to be patient here, buddy," Haru muttered. "You can't keep resisting forever."

Treecko let out a small growl, clearly not liking the idea of being confined to the Pokéball. His little eyes gleamed with determination, almost like he was daring Haru to try again.

Rose walked up, observing the exchange with a smirk. "I don't think he likes being told what to do. You're gonna need a different approach if you want him to listen."

Haru paused for a moment, thinking. He had faced stubborn Pokémon before, but Treecko's personality reminded him a lot of himself—independent, fiercely determined, and not afraid to do things his own way.

He crouched down to Treecko's level, holding out his hand. "Look, I'm not trying to control you. I just want to make sure you're okay, alright? We're a team, and I need you to trust me."

Treecko stared at his outstretched hand for a moment, his expression softening just a bit. After a few seconds of contemplation, he finally stepped forward and nuzzled Haru's hand, signaling his acceptance. Haru smiled and, gently this time, returned Treecko to his Pokéball.

"Good boy," Haru said with a grin, holding the Pokéball up. "Guess we're on the same page now."

Rose chuckled from behind him. "Told you it would take a little patience. Looks like you've got another wild one on your hands."

Haru gave her a sideways glance, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You're not wrong. But I think he and I are going to get along just fine."

Suicune then looked as she spoke. "Once he fully evolved, his Bond Evolution with you will as Strong as your Swampert and Electivire".

Haru then looked at his other Pokémon as he spoke. "Yeah, I am still trying to figure out how to fully Bond Evolve Electivire and Swampert, especially sense you said all my Pokémon can bond evolve I don't need another one of my Pokémon to Bo-".

As then they saw it, as Houndoom got as his body was covers in black flames, as it looked at Delta Aggron as he got up as fire then started to spin around as his eyes glow blue

Haru just blinked as his eyes also went blue. "Oh you have too be kidding".

Sabrina giggles as she spoke. "Is this a blessing or a Curse".

Haru watched in awe as his Houndoom's black flames intensified, swirling around his body like a powerful aura, while Delta Aggron stood tall with fiery energy pulsating around him, his blue-glowing eyes matching the intensity of Houndoom's flames. It was a sight he hadn't quite expected.

"Okay, this is definitely not what I was expecting," Haru muttered, his blue eyes flickering as he tried to process what was happening. "They're… bond evolving, aren't they?"

Suicune, observing the scene with a calm yet intrigued expression, nodded. "It seems that way. The bond between you and your Pokémon is so strong that it is unlocking hidden potential—one that even the Bond Phenomenon cannot entirely explain."

Sabrina, standing next to Haru, smirked, clearly amused by the situation. "Looks like you're about to witness something new, Haru. The evolution of your bond with your Pokémon, mixed with their own unique traits. This could be both a blessing and a curse, as I'm sure you'll find out soon enough."

Houndoom's flames started to grow even fiercer as the bond evolution took hold, the fiery aura becoming more intense and vibrant. His body shifted, growing even more imposing as his previously sleek black form now radiated with a more mystical and powerful aura. His form took on a more regal and terrifying appearance, hinting at a deeper power awakening inside him.

Delta Aggron, too, began to change. The swirling fire around him transformed, taking on a more ethereal quality as his steel body shimmered and began to pulse with blue energy. His once rigid, heavy form became more streamlined, almost as if the flames were working in harmony with his metallic body.

Haru's heart raced as he witnessed this unexpected phenomenon. "Okay, now this is beyond anything I've seen before. This is... the true power of the bond evolution?"

Suicune nodded with a hint of pride in her voice. "Exactly. These two have now awakened the true potential of their bond with you. Their power has evolved beyond simple evolution, becoming something uniquely tied to your aura and relationship with them. This will likely be something only you and your Pokémon can fully understand and harness."

Sabrina raised an eyebrow, her gaze shifting from Haru to the two evolving Pokémon. "Well, I guess we can call it the Haru Effect. Just don't get too cocky with them. You might have bonded so deeply that you could get dragged into the chaos."

Haru chuckled, though a small shiver ran down his spine. "Yeah, no kidding. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole Bond Evolution thing. But hey, if it means my Pokémon get even stronger, I'm all for it."

Delta Aggron Bond Evolve stopped, showing that it still needs more time with Haru, as Houndoom Continue.

As the flames erupted into a towering inferno, Houndoom's transformation reached its zenith. The swirling black fire spiraled higher, forming jagged spear-like flames that seemed to pierce through the very air around him. Haru, Sabrina, and everyone else shielded their eyes from the intensity of the heat and light emanating from the evolution.

The air around them crackled with energy, and just as abruptly as it started, the flames subsided, leaving behind a transformed Houndoom. His body was now covered in a gleaming, blackened armor-like coat, but it was his horns and spiked tail that stood out most—red as if they were forged from the core of a volcano. The aura around him was thick with power, a presence so overwhelming it felt like the earth itself was reverberating with the intensity of the bond between Haru and his Pokémon.

The Houndoom now stood before them was strikingly similar to a Mega Houndoom, but with the red horns and spikes that distinguished him as something far more unique—a Bond Evolution of his true potential. It was clear that this was no mere evolution; this was a new, untapped power, a force that only came from an unparalleled bond between trainer and Pokémon.

Suicune, her eyes wide in admiration, spoke with awe. "You know, I thought the first to fully unlock Bond Evolution would be Swampert and Electivire. But Houndoom… he's broken through first."

Haru stared at his Pokémon, his heart racing with both pride and a sense of awe. "This is… incredible. He's evolved, but it's something entirely new." His voice was barely a whisper, as if he couldn't quite believe what was happening.

Sabrina, who had been watching with her usual composed expression, raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. "Well, Haru, it seems like Houndoom is the first to fully tap into the power of your bond. A transformation like that isn't something that happens often. His new form is different from anything I've seen."

Houndoom turned to face Haru, his red-horned head tilting slightly as he let out a low, satisfied growl, almost as if acknowledging the bond they now shared. The sheer strength of their connection was palpable, and Haru could feel a surge of energy coursing through him, linking him to his Pokémon in a way he never thought possible.

Suicune spoke again, her voice filled with a hint of pride and amusement. "I believe Houndoom has just unlocked the true potential of your bond, Haru. And now, it's up to you both to figure out how to harness this power."

Haru nodded, still gazing at his newly evolved Houndoom, who now exuded an aura that made the air around them feel electric. "I'll make sure we use it wisely," Haru said, determination rising in his chest.

Sabrina, sensing the weight of the moment, smiled subtly. "Well, it seems that you and your Pokémon are on a whole new level now. It's going to be interesting to see what this Bond Evolution brings next."

As Houndoom stood tall, his fiery aura shifting and dancing around him, Haru realized that this was just the beginning. With his bond with his Pokémon now stronger than ever, who knew what kind of challenges—and victories—lay ahead for them all.

Then Houndoom started to become Normal as Houndoom went back to the ground hupping.

Haru went too his Pokémon as he patted him. "You are strong buddy, but looks like you need more training before you can control it".

Houndoom's newly evolved form shimmered briefly before the energy began to dissipate, and the fiery aura around him receded. The black flames that had once surrounded him flickered and faded as he landed back on the ground, panting slightly from the exertion. The bond evolution had taken a toll, and Houndoom seemed to be recovering from the intensity of the transformation.

Haru walked up to him, his footsteps light as he kneeled down beside his Pokémon, offering a gentle pat on his now smoother, yet still powerful, head. "You're strong, buddy," Haru said with a grin, his voice warm and reassuring. "But looks like you need more training before you can control it."

Houndoom's red-horned head dipped down in response, as though acknowledging the truth of Haru's words. Despite the overwhelming power he'd just unlocked, the transition into this new form was still raw. There was more work to be done to harness this newfound strength, but Haru was confident that with time and patience, they could get there.

Suicune, watching the interaction, spoke up with a knowing smile. "This kind of evolution doesn't come without its challenges, Haru. Houndoom will need to learn to control the immense power coursing through him. But if anyone can help him master it, it's you."

Sabrina, who had been observing the situation with interest, nodded in agreement. "Bond Evolutions are powerful, but they can be unpredictable, especially when they're unlocked so suddenly. Training and focus will be key."

Haru stood up, offering his hand to Houndoom as a sign of trust and partnership. "We'll figure it out together," Haru said, his voice firm. "You're not alone in this, Houndoom."

The Houndoom's fiery eyes softened for a moment as he looked up at Haru, the bond between them growing even deeper. The Pokémon's tail wagged slightly, a subtle show of affection and acknowledgment.

"Looks like the journey's far from over," Haru muttered to himself as he stood, turning his attention to his other Pokémon. He knew that Houndoom's evolution wasn't the end—it was just another step in the path ahead, and there would be many more challenges to face.

Suicune, with a knowing glance toward Sabrina, added with a hint of playfulness, "Seems like you've got a lot more work ahead of you, Haru."

Haru chuckled lightly, still focused on his Pokémon. "When have I ever backed down from a challenge?"

Sabrina smiled, folding her arms across her chest. "You're right about that. But make sure you don't push yourself too hard. It's a long road to mastery."

Haru nodded, determined but aware of the road ahead. With Houndoom's new power and the bond between them growing ever stronger, Haru was ready for whatever came next. They had a lot of work to do—but that only made the journey more exciting.
