Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom

Chapter 322: Chapter 321: Pokémon Elimination

"Still had an Ursaring hidden? Although it looks like you just caught it. So, are you saying all your Pokémon have really died?" Seeing Miyamoto's Ursaring, rather than getting angry, Paul seemed to have calmed some of his original rage. Now that Miyamoto was in this state, he had something more valuable to become his next collectible piece.

"Parasect, enter the fight. Use Poison Powder, Stun Spore, and then Spore," Paul ordered.

A Pokémon like Parasect doesn't have much direct combat power, but as a support and control Pokémon, it's certainly very effective. With just these few commands, Paul was already testing the patience of any other Pokémon.

Miyamoto, seeing that Paul had called Parasect, was even more at a disadvantage, barely holding on. But he didn't ask Cain for help, knowing that Cain had his own plans. As a subordinate, he only needed to do what he could. If he really couldn't hold on any longer, he still had Dodrio, now recovered, to help him escape.

But none of this escaped Cain's keen gaze, watching from the side. The interactions between them were also clear, so Cain already understood why the woman was in this state and knew exactly what kind of maniac was behind all this.

"Vexor, I hope you're one of the subordinates of the person testing me, so I'll have yet another reason to eliminate you," Cain thought to himself.

Cain had originally been undecided between Vexor and Glacius, but now, with the appearance of this maniac, he'd set his sights on Vexor.

However, the first thing he had to do now was get rid of this lunatic. His behavior really made Cain nauseous.

If it were only about killing, Cain wouldn't be too bothered, even with a ruthless demon who kills without a second thought. But someone who destroys others' limbs, tortures them to death or drives them insane, and then collects parts of their bodies was simply too disgusting.

So disgusting that Cain didn't even want to look at him.

Meanwhile, Paul was overpowering Miyamoto. If he didn't intervene soon, it would only be a matter of time before he fell.

"Arbok, go and bind that man. My other Pokémon will create an opening for you. Slowpoke, Murkrow, attack with everything. Focus on Scyther first," Cain ordered.

Then, he pulled out two more Poké Balls, releasing Sneasel and Miltank.

"Sneasel, use Icy Wind on the group! Slow them down!" Although Sneasel had been in its Poké Ball, it was quite aware of the outside situation.

As for Miltank, it stayed by Cain's side for the time being, serving as support, ensuring that as long as he was safe, his team members could receive continuous healing.

"Go."

Cain gave clear instructions on what they should do. Then, with his command, the Pokémon leaped into action.

Slowpoke and Murkrow teleported instantly to the center of the battlefield.

At that moment, Primeape and Ursaring were covered in wounds, but what troubled them the most were Parasect's annoying moves: various powders and spores making them suffer.

When Slowpoke and Murkrow appeared, Miyamoto let out a sigh of relief. Mr. Cain had finally intervened.

"Is someone else here?" Paul also saw Slowpoke and Murkrow, his face shifting slightly, clearly surprised.

Allies of Miyamoto? Or just passersby?

But Slowpoke and Murkrow's actions clarified it.

Slowpoke's psychic energy suddenly surged, and it unleashed the Psyshock move directly at Scyther, who was flying in the air.

With Slowpoke's impact momentarily disorienting Scyther, Murkrow's wings charged with flying energy, and it hurled itself at Scyther, striking it mid-air.

Scyther, having been knocked back, tried to right itself, but Murkrow, moving at full speed, swooped down again, striking it with another Wing Attack, sending it crashing to the ground.

Slowpoke then teleported close to Scyther, quickly gathering Fire-type energy in its mouth.

Scyther opened its eyes wide, trying to counterattack, but its body seemed to be breaking down, having taken massive damage from Murkrow's two blows and being weak against Flying moves.

"Ariados, Parasect, quickly, help Scyther!" Paul shouted urgently. In the blink of an eye, Scyther had been taken down and was about to be killed.

Ariados and Parasect tried to move but were blocked by Primeape and Ursaring, who were fighting with all their might.

At that moment, Sneasel finally reached the battlefield and unleashed Icy Wind on the four Pokémon.

This slowed all the Pokémon down and also caused them some damage. Small layers of ice could be seen forming on their bodies.

Just then, Slowpoke's Flamethrower move completed, spraying directly onto Scyther's face at close range.

When the Flamethrower move ended, there was a large burned hole in the ground, and Scyther lay there, lifeless and unrecognizable.

"Scyther! Damn it! Who the hell are you?" Paul looked around frantically but saw no one.

In a matter of seconds, the situation, which had been in his favor, had changed drastically. Scyther was defeated, and Ariados and Parasect were trapped by Miyamoto's Pokémon.

To top it all off, a massive Arbok emerged from the underbrush and quickly launched itself at Paul.

Not knowing who was behind sending Pokémon non-stop, Paul had to throw two more Poké Balls to defend himself.

However, his main Pokémon were the three already in battle. The ones he released now were strong but not on par with the other three.

A Beedrill and a Ledyba appeared at Paul's side.

However, Slowpoke and Murkrow, having finished their fight, didn't stop. Seeing Paul's two new Pokémon, Slowpoke quickly teleported and used the Zen Headbutt move to knock down Beedrill.

Beedrill, being Bug and Poison-type, took Slowpoke's direct hit and had no chance to counterattack, immediately losing its ability to fight.

Meanwhile, Ledyba was struck down and dragged into a fight by Murkrow with the Wing Attack move. It didn't seem like it could hold on for long.

Paul's face turned from red to black and then pale in an instant. His trembling right hand pulled out his last Poké Ball.

Before he could throw it, Arbok, who had been targeting Paul the entire time, got right next to him and wrapped around him.

Arbok's cold, slippery scales touched Paul's skin, making him shiver completely.

A sense of imminent death surrounded him entirely.
