Chapter 321: Chapter 320: The Deadly Maniac
Miyamoto quickly rolled across the ground to dodge Ariados's surprise attack, while Primeape blocked Scyther's assault. However, the impact pushed him back a certain distance.
Cain didn't approach immediately, as he noticed that the woman sitting there hadn't moved at all, nor had her expression changed, indicating this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.
But why did that woman obey so willingly? Wasn't she one of Jasmine's subordinates? Cain couldn't understand.
One of the attackers was an Ariados, and the other a Scyther, clearly not Jasmine's Pokémon.
So, whose could they be?
It wasn't long before the person Cain suspected appeared. His face bore a wicked smile, accompanied by a Parasect, as he slowly emerged from the forest.
Seeing Miyamoto, who was a bit disheveled after dodging the attack, his smile grew even wider.
"Isn't this Miyamoto? Why so scruffy? Are you interested in this woman? I'll give her to you! Hahaha!" he said, letting out an uncontrollable laugh.
Hearing his voice, the woman who had previously been motionless showed an expression of fear and dread.
"Paul, of course, it's you, you twisted maniac. How are you still alive?" Miyamoto retorted, brushing the dirt from his face and gritting his teeth.
"Well, if you're not dead, why would I be? I've got to help the great Vexor secure first place!" Paul responded smugly.
"You're a degenerate. This whole thing is clearly your doing. This woman... did you put her in this state? And you deliberately put a map fragment on her to lure others," Miyamoto accused.
Upon identifying the one behind all this, Miyamoto understood the situation of the woman before him: provocatively dressed but with no emotional reaction.
Paul clicked his tongue and replied:
"Bah, what do you know? This woman is quite smart; she knew she wouldn't survive on the Trial Island and wanted to find a protector. When she heard that we newcomers were pretty strong, she approached me on her own. I didn't force her!"
Miyamoto moved slowly, seeking shelter behind Primeape.
"From the moment you appeared, I knew what this pervert had done. Have you broken her limbs and are torturing her bit by bit?" Miyamoto asked disdainfully.
"No, no, no, that's not torture. This is called sacrificing for art. Get it? You guys, who only know about battles and fighting, have no idea what art is."
"She came to me seeking protection, so, of course, I had the right to use everything she had. It's such a wonderful find that I couldn't help myself, I couldn't help myself! Hahaha!" he said, his expression growing more deranged and his behavior bolder.
"Judging by your satisfaction, it seems you've eliminated quite a few people using this trap, haven't you?" Miyamoto said.
"Eliminate? Such an ugly word! This is a search for material, you understand? But, honestly, everyone who fell for it was trash. I didn't even feel like collecting anything, and none of them were women. But luckily... luckily, you've arrived. Hahaha!" Paul shouted with a maniacal laugh.
"You're a damn psychopath. Killing is killing; why make this so creepy? Anyone who can stand you must have a mind of steel or be just as depraved," Miyamoto replied, a chill running down his spine.
He had killed many people and seen countless corpses, but he had never understood how someone could so enjoy mutilating their victims' limbs, torturing them to death, and then collecting the parts he liked as trophies.
That woman was truly naive, willingly presenting herself as a victim.
She didn't know that seeking protection from a stranger could lead to her being viewed as nothing more than prey and eliminated.
But now there was no time to worry about others because that maniac's gaze was already on him.
Paul's eyes wandered shamelessly over Miyamoto's body, and anyone who didn't know him might think he had other intentions. However, Miyamoto knew it was something even more revolting: a man thinking about how to keep a part of your body.
"Heh, a man like you would be an excellent trophy for my collection. Come on! Call out your Pokémon. Yesterday on the plane, if it hadn't been for that person's presence, I'd have already attacked. That whole plane full of people so valuable to collect made me feel so excited!" Paul exclaimed with madness.
"I don't understand how someone like Vexor could have a lunatic like you as a subordinate. Doesn't he worry you'll disgust him to death?" Miyamoto replied in disgust.
But Paul wasn't offended by Miyamoto's insults; on the contrary, he seemed delighted to hear such words.
"Little Miyamoto, the more you resist, the happier you make me. Come on, bring out your Pokémon so I can see them!" Paul said, laughing like a madman, clearly enjoying the moment.
Miyamoto didn't bring out more Pokémon, while Paul's three insect Pokémon approached.
Miyamoto wore a tense expression. If he had any Pokémon available, he would have already smashed that scoundrel.
Realizing Miyamoto's situation, Paul's face changed, and he said:
"Don't tell me you've already exhausted all your Pokémon, and only that Primeape remains?"
Miyamoto remained silent, saying nothing, but his face was dark with anger.
Paul became even angrier:
"Stupid idiot! Have you already run out of Pokémon after only a day here? How useless can you be? And you still dare to speak to me like that? With only one Pokémon, you have no chance of resisting! I'm even losing interest in collecting you."
"Thank your entire family for not wanting to collect me!" Miyamoto shouted in his mind.
"Do you think that just because I only have one Pokémon left, I'm cornered? They're just damn insects," Miyamoto replied with disdain.
Paul responded with a laugh:
"Hahaha! You, an idiot who only knows how to use Fighting-type Pokémon, with muscles and a rock for a brain. Bug Pokémon may be Bug and Poison types, but many of them know Flying-type moves. Your Primeape doesn't stand a chance. I'll decide whether to collect you after I defeat you!"
"Scyther, use Wing Attack on Primeape! Ariados, use String Shot to slow him down!" Paul ordered, impatient.
Scyther and Ariados moved almost simultaneously.
"Cain, show up already! I can't withstand this madman's attacks for long!" Miyamoto shouted urgently in his mind as he saw the enemy Pokémon approaching.
"Ursaring, use Slash on Scyther!" Miyamoto ordered, trying to buy some time.
Having no other choice to relieve the pressure, Miyamoto had to call out the Ursaring that Cain had recently given him.
