Chapter 529 - 529: Main Body

Chapter 529: Chapter 529: Main Body

“I don’t believe it?” Shi Hao chuckled, his palm gliding over her snow-white back, smooth and warm to the touch.

What made him feel speechless and defeated was the appearance of tiny bumps on the silky, satin-like skin, forming a layer of goosebumps.

At that moment, Yue Chan’s hair stood on end, feeling as though snakes or insects were crawling over her, making her uncomfortable all over; she slapped his hand away, saying, “What I’m telling you is the truth.”

“Don’t you think you’re being a bit harsh?” Shi Hao said discontentedly, gently stroking her glossy black hair. “To think that I, with my god-given martial prowess and peerless valiance, appear so intolerable in your eyes, making your whole body break out in goosebumps at a single touch? Unforgivable.”

“Why do you never believe me when I tell the truth?” Yue Chan blinked her large eyes, which sparkled brilliantly, her white and beautiful face radiating a divine, irresistible luster.

Shi Hao frowned and said, “Then explain to me; it clearly comes from your main body, and you are one with it, so why tell me all this?”

While saying these words, he seriously considered, judging whether her words were true or false. Was this intimidation, a deliberate stalling tactic?

The moonlight vanished, and the sky filled with denser clouds, shrouding the capital in darkness, along with the bridal chamber, as the candles had gone out.

However, the divine light in Shi Hao’s eyes shone brightly, allowing him to clearly see everything; the snow-white body beside him appeared even more beautiful, ethereal and crystalline.

“She is her, and I am me. After splitting into two divine fetuses, it is impossible for us to remain exactly the same, especially before we reunite,” Yue Chan explained.

“No matter what you say, you’re still one person. Are you willing to betray your main body and truly side with me?” Shi Hao scoffed, not believing her words and playfully pinching a crystalline ear, making it take on different shapes.

Yue Chan smacked his hand away with a slap, her beautiful face flushing with irritation and a hint of shame, almost wanting to sever his hand.

She was a Fairy of the Heaven Mending Sect, unspeakably noble even in the higher realms, and of incredible origin. Sacred and flawless in the eyes of the world and not to be desecrated, yet here he was, playfully pinching her ear, provoking her annoyance and anger.

Shi Hao chuckled, unconcerned, and without pressing further, asked, “Is that all? The persuasiveness still isn’t enough.”

“I’m worried she might come to kill me,” Yue Chan revealed.

“She’d come to kill me, not you. If anything, she’d more likely be here to save you,” Shi Hao expressed surprise, thinking quietly and entertaining some thoughts, not dismissing her words as nonsense.

“If she fails to kill you, she might try to kill me to solve all her problems,” Yue Chan said, her eyes gleaming brightly, her body tense.

Both the main body and the secondary one are true bodies of flesh and blood, both divine fetuses. If one survives, a new flawless divine body can be created.

The prerequisite is that one of the bodies must perish first; otherwise, no third immortal body can be formed.

“Relax, don’t be nervous. She wouldn’t dare show up, and it’s not likely she’ll come today. And even if she had the audacity, she’d target me first. You are my wife; I’ll protect you,” Shi Hao joked.

And indeed, he was sincere, comfortingly running his hand over her snow-white body, but it only made Yue Chan more tense, her body stiffening as if it were a piece of mutton fat jade.

“Ah, I really am a failure. On our wedding night, I somehow always make you react as though you’re facing a serpent or scorpion, deliberately shattering my confidence, right? With my divine and noble stature, how can you react in such a way?” Shi Hao feigned indignation, and with a “smack,” he slapped her chest’s snowy fullness, showing his outrage.

“Are you even listening to me?” Yue Chan’s delicate face blushed, growing increasingly irritated, continually violated but unable to change the circumstances, grinding her teeth secretly.

“I’m listening. Go ahead, try to explain it all at once. The night might be long, but wasting such perfect moments seems like a squander of life itself,” Shi Hao said relaxedly.

Suddenly, a tremor surged through him, making his body tighten like Yue Chan’s, his eyes radiating brilliance, lighting up the entire hall like two bright lamps.

Yue Chan was startled; at that moment, Shi Hao looked incredibly sharp, like a young War God, his whole body radiating a golden light, mighty and impressive.

The next moment, Shi Hao leaped like a spirit cat to the window, facing the night breeze, his black hair spreading out as he looked up at the sky. “Is it going to rain?”

The clouds pressed lower, creating a suffocating heaviness in the atmosphere.

“Boom!”

Suddenly, lightning streaked across the sky, turbulent waves of divine energy astonishingly manifesting.

Shi Hao’s pupils constricted rapidly as he stared into the heavens.

This lightning was bizarre, not horizontally slashing nor arced but falling straight down, its beams piercing the sky, dazzling and remarkable beyond belief.

Inside the Imperial Palace, the powerful guards felt something, all of them suddenly looking up—never before had they seen such strange lightning, falling straight down.

“It’s a Meteor Star!” someone shouted.

The tranquil late night was shattered by this shout, waking many; all guards were on high alert for this unimaginable celestial disaster.

“It really is going to rain, but it’s a meteor shower!” Shi Hao’s eyes were intense as he watched the night sky.

The meteors fell vertically from the dark clouds above, too swiftly, their light trailing like rainbows, their force awe-inspiring.”

This kind of catastrophe would not just destroy an imperial palace but could obliterate a huge city, turning it into ruins, or even cause an entire region to sink and become desolate land.

It was too dense; Meteor Star followed Meteor Star, the beams illuminating the night sky, penetrating heaven and earth, truly spectacular!

All Meteor Stars were converging on one place—the imperial palace!

Not a single one deviated from its path to fall outside the city; this was not a natural disaster but man-made control, truly terrifying, making even the Venerable Ones shudder!

It was clearly divine might, yet under the control of a living being, shocking enough to obliterate endless beings.

“She… she actually came!” Yue Chan stood up, not caring about the expanse of snow-white skin revealed as she approached the window, looking up into the sky with flickering eyes.

“So you mean, at first you were merely placating me and had not confirmed that she would definitely return?” Shi Hao turned to look at her.

Yue Chan’s pupils sparkled, endlessly emitting and transforming images, conjuring infinite visions, seeming somewhat distracted.

Her icy skin and jade bones now shone brightly under the “lightning,” her whole body like the most perfect piece of art, flawless and beautiful.

“You were just toying with me just now, you deserve to be punished,” Shi Hao said, embracing her slender jade body, kissing her bright red lips.

Yue Chan startled awake: surprise, panic, and amazement in her beautiful eyes. The situation was dire, yet he remained so calm, daring to do so.

“I’ll punish you slowly later!” Shi Hao said, holding her delicate waist without letting go, to prevent her from escaping tonight, as they both watched the Meteor Star shower together.

For many years, such a terrifying catastrophe had never occurred, all of it focused on the imperial palace, meteorites pouring down like heavy rain, brilliance illuminating the earth and sky.

Even the Divine Spirit Formation must be penetrated, right? Yue Chan thought anxiously, as this “calamity” clearly came well-prepared, overwhelming divine might utterly unstoppable.

Chaos reigned in the imperial palace, numerous cries of alarm arose, everyone felt as if the end of days had arrived, the scene was terrifying.

“Boom!”

At last, the first Meteor Star fell, smashing close by, striking above the grand Heavenly Palace, erupting into a dazzling Divine Radiance, that tremendous fluctuation was terrifying.

At that moment, people were nearly breathless, their heartbeats almost stopping.

Immeasurable might directly challenging Stone Kingdom’s Royal Palace, earth-shattering, but the Meteor Star exploded just before touching the Heavenly Palace, various beams of light bursting forth, scattering in all directions.

The ground shook, Divine Radiance endless, the blinding light submerging the area, the entire imperial palace trembling.

“It did not penetrate!” Many, while scared, also shouted out loud.

Each palace glimmered, enveloped by various ancient symbols, like giant Magic Artifacts awakening, engraved with the marks of time, and patterns of ancient formations.

Meteorites fell like waterfalls, almost as if to end the world, continuously dropping from the dark clouds above, immense and boundless, streaks of white light penetrating heaven and earth.

Such divine might, human power was simply unable to contend; if truly trapped, even Venerable Ones would turn to ash.

Fortunately, the formations of Stone Kingdom’s Royal Palace held, not yet breached, one great star after another exploded in the void, turning into dazzling radiance.

Inside the imperial palace, people cheered, this divine might, although terrifying enough to destroy many huge cities on the land, was now blocked by ancient formations.

Regardless of the beams of light raining down, striking above the palaces, all exploded, none could penetrate.

Shi Hao’s eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze intimidating. If not for returning from the Profound Domain and immediately using the large quantity of Divine Material brought back from Immortal Mountain to lay several additional Divine Spirit Formations with the Divine Striking Stone, perhaps the imperial palace really would have been breached.

Infinite divine might, one Meteor Star after another summoned from beyond the sky, falling toward the land, it was hard to imagine the strength of that energy!

Just then, Yue Chan trembled, looking in a certain direction, towards a point of halo in the clouds.

Shi Hao looked up, his divine gaze electric, piercing through the Meteor Star rain, his eyes’ beams remarkable, spotting a figure in the clouds, her divine figure and jade bones enveloped in a hazy light, transcendental above the mundane world, like a Deity overlooking the vast land.

She exuded a Sacred Entity aura, denser than Yue Chan’s, even more powerful, seemingly nearly an Immortal, completely isolated from the mortal world, high above.

Her true face was not seen; her entire body wrapped in radiance and at this moment, she also looked down, gazing at Shi Hao, sparkling eyes, yet without the slightest fluctuation.

Shi Hao knew, if the main body and the Venerable One’s left body were too close, they could interact with each other as if they were one.

Watching that high and sacred figure, he revealed a mouthful of snow-white teeth, smiling radiantly, then turned his head, sealing the Banished Fairy beside him with his lips.

This moment, not only did Yue Chan startle, but also the sacred Immortal figure in the sky trembled, emitting intense energy fluctuations.
