Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Shut the Gates and Release the Zombie!
The foreigners and island nation officers didn't understand a word of Chinese.
But they could certainly read the room.
Swords drawn. Tension crackling in the air. A fight was about to erupt.
And they were loving it.
Best case scenario? Both sides kill each other, and they walk free.
…
"You!" Uncle Nate's face twisted with rage. When had a young punk ever dared talk to him like that?
He looked like he was about to lash out.
Vincent stepped in with a casual smile. "Uncle Nate, no need to stoop to the level of someone with no manners. He's not worth your energy."
Hearing this, Miles Song glared at Vincent with venom in his eyes. "You little bastard! You better not beg later, because I'll make sure to torture you first, turn you into a zombie, then set you on fire until there's not even ashes left!"
Then, unexpectedly, Elias Vale finally spoke.
"Vincent Fox, right? So… you really have the ability to control zombies? If so, hand it over. I can promise you won't die."
Miles was about to argue, but when he saw it was Elias speaking, he shut his mouth.
Vincent chuckled and shook his head. "Looks like you still don't get it. Fine. Since you're so obsessed with dying, I'll grant your wish."
He turned toward Uncle Nate. "You might want to step aside. Wouldn't want you caught in the crossfire."
Then he raised his hand and slapped Grandpa Ren on the head with a loud smack!
The slap startled even Uncle Nate.
"What are you waiting for?" Vincent said calmly. "Go feed."
The moment the command was given, Grandpa Ren let out a piercing roar and launched himself at the Godslayer Academy disciples.
Just seconds ago, he'd looked so tame by Vincent's side like a pet or servant, low-key and humble.
But now, with that single roar, he transformed into a monstrous force of nature. Yin energy exploded off him like a tidal wave. He moved like a storm, violent and unstoppable, radiating pure death.
The expressions on the Godslayer students shifted immediately.
Grandpa Ren's first target was none other than Miles Song.
Seeing the incoming attack, Miles didn't hesitate. He raised both arms, and countless green branches suddenly burst from his forearms, forming a thick net that lunged at Grandpa Ren.
This was the power inherited from Green, the 24th-ranked A-class hero.
The ability to transform into and control vegetation.
At full potential, it could dominate entire forests.
But right now, Miles was nowhere near full strength.
The net of branches managed to momentarily wrap around Grandpa Ren but that was all.
With a single flex, Grandpa Ren shredded through the branches like paper.
Miles's face went pale. He couldn't dodge in time.
Just as the claws closed in
A sword light flashed.
"Atomic Slash!"
Damon lawson shouted, his sword slicing the air into brilliant arcs.
Dozens of rapid slashes shot toward Grandpa Ren's arm, carving gashes into it with unbelievable speed.
It was the iconic technique of Atomic Samurai "Atomic Slash" and it was powerful.
Dozens of wounds instantly split open along Grandpa Ren's arm, some so deep they nearly reached bone.
Damon had managed to strike over thirty times in a blink.
Impressive.
But meaningless.
For Grandpa Ren, those wounds were mere scratches. Unless his entire arm was severed, he'd regenerate in no time.
Wham!
Grandpa Ren slapped Damon away like a fly, sending him flying.
Then, he seized Miles Song by the collar and sank his fangs straight into his neck.
"AAAHHH!!!"
Miles let out a scream of agony.
But no words came after.
His throat had already been torn out.
The Godslayer students were stunned.
In just one exchange, Damon was down, and Miles was dead?
And Miles wasn't just anyone. He was from the powerful Song Family.
If he died here, they'd all be in trouble.
"Help him, now!!"
Another young man shouted. Steel beads appeared in his hand, and he hurled them at Grandpa Ren.
This one had inherited the power of Kada, the 29th-ranked A-class hero. His thrown beads packed more punch than bullets.
But once again useless.
Grandpa Ren, now a full-fledged flying zombie, had skin and bones tougher than steel.
Damon's sword was the only thing that even left marks. And that was barely.
The beads struck his chest with metallic clangs and bounced off harmlessly.
The youth's face went pale. The thought of fleeing bloomed in his mind.
In that moment
These so-called prodigies of Godslayer Academy finally understood…
Just how terrifying a flying zombie truly was.
…
"Monster, stop!!"
A thunderous shout echoed through the air.
Uncle Nate had finally had enough. He unsheathed the peachwood sword from his back, bit his finger, and smeared his own blood along the blade.
At once
The sword flared with brilliant golden light.
This was Uncle Nate's most powerful move.
He raised it high and stabbed at Grandpa Ren.
Thunk!
The sword barely pierced a few inches but it worked.
The area around the wound instantly burst into flames.
"ROAR!!"
Grandpa Ren howled like a wild beast, wrenching his jaws away from Miles's limp body. Blood dripped from his fangs as he turned and swiped at Uncle Nate.
Uncle Nate couldn't dodge. The sword was still embedded in the zombie's flesh. He raised his arms to shield himself
Boom!
The claw sent him flying, slamming into the ground with a heavy crash.
He coughed up a mouthful of blood.
"Such a vicious monster!" he groaned.
