Tarkan, who had been happy a moment ago after he found a good weapon, now had an ugly expression on his face.

The timer had decreased, 11 minutes and 18 seconds gone.

That was more than eleven days of accumulation, vanished just like that.

Tarkan couldn't help but hold his chest dramatically, as if suffering a heartattack.

Even though he knew the timer dropped not just because he had been using it to evade the pigs, but also because he'd used it to bypass the Rush talent cooldown…

Even knowing all that, Tarkan still felt sad.

He had achieved his end goal, but a whole eleven minutes had disappeared just like that.

The risk-to-reward ratio wasn't worth it.

The only things he had gained from the ordeal were a crudely made weapon… and a burden. A weak girl who might, or might not, give him useful information about the Second Dimension.

It surely wasn't worth eleven minutes of his hard-earned Timer.

The thing he lacked the most was patience. Watching the timer accumulate slowly always frustrated him. But there was nothing he could do to increase its speed. If he had found a way to increase it, he would've already used it.

Seeing that it was approaching noon, Tarkan couldn't help but comfort himself.

"At least I got an upgrade," he muttered.

Even though he wasn't religious, Tarkan couldn't help praying to everything he knew.

The timer should at least increase by ten minutes... minimum.

As Tarkan was lost in thought, a sound suddenly alerted him.

Thinking it was a pig survivor, Tarkan immediately activated his Rush talent, picked up his sickle, and was ready to kill.

But he stopped mid-sprint.

Coming out of the cottage that the pig people had surrounded was the girl Tarkan had rescued.

The girl cautiously stepped out. She had no idea what had transpired. She only remembered being rubbed with a yellow substance.

Then, all of a sudden, the pig-human who had been smearing the smelly stuff on her body suddenly attacked her, and the next thing she saw was darkness.

She had woken up in some gooey substance, inside a dark place, only seeing a faint outline of light coming through a door.

She thought she had been caged by the pigs, especially since the awful smell still clung to her body.

Approaching the crudely made door, she pushed it. To her surprise, it wasn't locked.

Peeking out, she saw the pigs, the same ones who had terrorized her, now lying in their own blood, lifeless and headless.

Seeing this, the color drained from her face.

Instead of feeling happy, she felt dread.

She was still unable to leave the dimension.

Sitting down, she couldn't help but cry. Find thе trаnslаtiоn оn МV&LЕМРYR.

Whatever had killed the pig people… it meant a creature even stronger than them was around.

After a while, she stilled her resolve and braved herself.

With her body shaking like a generator, she gently stepped out of the cottage, only to meet a boy around her age.

He had his hair tied in a bun. His smooth body looked like it was designed. His muscles were all well-packed and molded, not too small, not too big, just perfect.

And the moment she saw his face, her shaking body and all her fear vanished.

She simply stood there, staring at Tarkan, gawking like an idiot.

"Hi."

"Hi."

Tarkan kept waving his hand, but the girl just stood there staring like a fool, not seeming to register anything he was doing.

Sigh

Tarkan couldn't help but feel that his facial features weren't ordinary. It felt strange, even to describe.

Raising his hand, the mask he had been wearing suddenly appeared in it. He put it on.

The moment he wore it, the girl looked at him longingly.

Without fear, she started sprinting toward Tarkan, a complete stranger.

But Tarkan didn't dare allow her to get close. Using the wooden handle of the sickle, he stopped her from approaching.

Vough...

Tarkan vomited. He couldn't hold it in anymore.

Now that he knew the yellow substance on the girl's body was actually pig-human feces, the sight of her made him sick.

If he had known earlier, Tarkan believed there would have been an 80% chance he wouldn't have gone through with the plan at all.

Seeing the love-struck expression on her face now, he was 100% sure that his facial features weren't just for show.

By the way she was looking at him, Tarkan knew he could get the information he wanted from her without hassle.

But from the same look, he could also tell that she would want to follow him wherever he went.

And that… that would be a lot of hassle.

A hassle he wasn't interested in.

Tarkan thought about rewinding time, going back to before she saw his face.

But his heart was bleeding. He had lost so much Timer today, he was reluctant to use it again.

Then, from nowhere, a crazy idea popped up in his mind.

[Revert – Reverse time on a single target, unrestricted, as long as you have enough time.]

The description said he could reverse time on any single target.

The key word was any.

"It's not like I'm asking for too much," Tarkan muttered to himself, "after all, I saved your life. I'm only trying to help you with your sickness."

His eyes looked at the girl like a guinea pig… waiting to be experimented on.
