Chapter 15: Chapter 14
Three days later.
Grand Line, Belair Sea.
"Captain."
"The front is Kradin Island. We can take shelter there and replenish supplies."
The original tranquility of the sea was broken by an excited voice.
In the middle of the sea, a ship was seen sailing steadily.
Its distinctive duck-shaped bow made the ship stand out, and more notably, the crew members were all wearing white chef uniforms, making it look like a group of chefs sailing together.
This was a group of newcomers who had entered the Grand Line not long ago.
Chef Pirates!
"Gill, you idiot! How many times have I told you not to make loud noises?!" A steady low voice sounded, tinged with anxiety.
The owner of this voice was a burly man with a tall chef's hat on his head, a golden beard braided on his chin, and a ferocious expression on his face due to anxiety.
The captain of the Chef Pirates.
Red-footed Zeff!
As the only newcomer who served as both a chef and the leader of a pirate crew, Red-footed Zeff possessed not only superb cooking skills but also exceptional leg techniques.
Though the Chef Pirates had not been in the Grand Line for long, they had already earned a solid reputation.
However, during a recent voyage, they were ambushed by the Iron Hand Pirates. Although they managed to escape, they had paid a heavy price.
The reason Red-footed Zeff was so anxious now was due to their ongoing escape from the Iron Hand Pirates.
"If it weren't for those bastards in the Iron Hand Pirates, we wouldn't have to flee like this!" Another crew member, Ivan, complained with a frown on his face.
"Ivan, don't be depressed for now. Be ready to fight at any time," Red-footed Zeff said, patting Ivan's shoulder in comfort. Zeff sighed deeply.
The voyage had been smooth sailing up until now, but they were now facing a life-or-death crisis.
The smile on Red-footed Zeff's face was gone.
At that moment, a panting figure hurried down from the observation tower.
"Stark, how many times do I have to tell you not to make a fuss over every little thing?!" Red-footed Zeff immediately scolded, irritated.
"Captain, listen to my explanation…"
The pirate named Stark struggled to calm himself, his body heaving with heavy breaths, betraying his inner anxiety.
"What happened? Did the Iron Hand Pirates catch up?" Zeff's face grew serious as the Iron Hand Pirates were mentioned.
"No," Stark gasped. "It's those two guys!"
Stark held up two bounty warrants in his hand, his face pale with panic. "Remember the two bounties we saw a few days ago? Those two monsters actually showed up!"
"What?!" Zeff's eyes widened in shock.
"Do you mean Uchiha Madara and Leon, the two monsters who challenged the Navy?" Red-footed Zeff's dark face turned even more ashen, and a chill ran down his spine.
300 million, 500 million.
The first time their bounties were listed, they had earned such astonishing amounts. Though they were newcomers, they had earned the title of "monsters."
With the Iron Hand Pirates already hunting them, and now encountering these two notorious pirates, Red-footed Zeff felt the weight of the situation.
"Get ready for battle immediately!!!"
Zeff nearly shouted, the stress overwhelming him. Facing pirates with bounties over 100 million, he had no plan or idea of how to handle them.
"It's too late; they'll catch up soon!" Stark added urgently.
Just as Stark finished speaking, a noise from the sea caught their attention. A three-masted sailing ship with dazzling red paint appeared on the horizon.
"Leon, Uchiha Madara…"
Looking at the two figures standing at the end of the deck, Zeff's voice trembled. He didn't think the Chef Pirates could withstand the wrath of these two pirates.
"Captain, what should we do?"
All the crew members stood frozen, staring at Zeff with desperate pleading eyes. The overwhelming strength gap left them resigned to surrender.
"Don't panic…" Zeff tried to rally the crew, raising his voice several decibels. "Even if they're pirates with bounties over 100 million, we'll never bow our heads!"
But…
The three-masted sailing ship continued its approach, and it was clear that the George Chef would soon meet its fate.
Meanwhile, on the other side…
"Eh… No way, I actually met this guy!" Leon's expression grew strange when he spotted the ship.
As a time traveler, Leon instantly recognized Zeff.
He had never expected that the first pirate crew he would encounter after entering the Grand Line would be Zeff's—Sanji's master from the original story, who later ran a sea restaurant in the East Blue.
It was completely unexpected.
"Leon, do you know those guys on the opposite side?" Uchiha Madara asked, his cold demeanor softening after some time.
"I guess so. It's fate," Leon replied with a faint smirk, his eyes locked on Zeff's ship. "But it seems they've misunderstood."
"Ban, don't you hate vegetarian food? Zeff's a master chef," Leon chuckled and adjusted the wheel. The three-masted ship picked up speed.
Soon after, aboard the Chef George…
"Leon, Uchiha Madara, there shouldn't be any bad blood between us, right?" Zeff grit his teeth, trying to maintain composure as the two pirates boarded his deck.
"Red-footed Zeff…" Leon said, noticing the fear in Zeff's eyes. His expression turned even more perplexed. "You don't need to be so nervous. We aren't here with any hostility."
"Ah?!!" Zeff was caught off guard by Leon's calm words.
"The reason I approached you was simply to enjoy your cooking." Leon's smile lightened the tense atmosphere.
"So… it was just for the food?" Zeff breathed a sigh of relief, though he still wore a wry smile. After all, any newcomer would be nervous when meeting notorious pirates like Leon and Madara, especially after stirring up trouble with the Navy!
