Chapter 247: 247: King vs. King

In the depths of Pangaea Castle—

Two members of the Five Elders knelt solemnly before the Empty Throne.

"Lord Imu, the Holy Land is on the brink of catastrophe. It's time… to use the Great Treasure."

The one who spoke wore a deep Marine suit. His long white hair hung straight past his shoulders, and his flowing beard reached his chest. As he raised a golden scepter toward the throne, his eyes gleamed with unwavering zeal.

Clad in flowing black robes, Imu lifted a pale hand.

The scepter floated from the Elder's grasp into hers.

She lowered her gaze to examine the artifact in silence, her eyes devoid of emotion.

Then—

Imu stood from the Empty Throne, raised the golden scepter high above her head, and began chanting an incantation in an ancient, long-lost tongue.

The scepter began to glow—softly at first, then fiercely, until its brilliance lit up the entire chamber.

The two kneeling Five Elders bowed their heads, faces overcome with fanatic devotion.

By the time the chant ended, the light from the scepter had become blinding, gathering into a single radiant pillar that pierced through the dome of the castle and shot straight into the sky.

Across the world—at Marineford, on Luffy's battlefield, and atop the Red Line in Mary Geoise—everyone halted, momentarily frozen by the spectacle. Every head turned skyward, eyes wide.

Even those in the first half of the Grand Line and the distant New World could see the blinding light. The colossal beam erupted from the summit of the Red Line and surged heavenward, as if connecting this world to another.

In the skies above, Ron narrowed his azure Tenseigan eyes as he hovered high over the battlefield.

With his powerful ocular prowess, he could see what others could not—beyond the glare of the pillar, he glimpsed its destination.

Space was distorting.

When the brilliance faded, what replaced it was a yawning rift—an immense, pitch-black crack tearing through the firmament above.

The three Five Elders clashing with Kaido, Zephyr, and Rayleigh looked up with maniacal fervor gleaming in their eyes.

Zephyr and Rayleigh stared skyward with grim expressions.

"That is…?"

Sengoku furrowed his brow, murmuring under his breath, "Don't tell me…"

"It's finally coming back to this world!"

An elder Celestial Dragon trembled with joy. "This is the divine power our ancestors left to protect us!"

"One of the Three Ancient Weapons—Uranus!"

BOOM.

From within the rift, a massive, vertical crimson eye suddenly snapped open.

A suffocating aura fell upon the land.

Across the three battlefields atop the Red Line, warriors and pirates alike stopped in their tracks, eyes filled with disbelief.

Then—two monstrous dragon claws tore open the already massive rift, pulling it wider with a deafening screech.

And from the chasm emerged a colossal figure, spreading its wings wide as it took to the skies above Mary Geoise.

Gasps echoed through the battlefield.

Floating overhead, its wings casting an enormous shadow across the land, was a black dragon, over five hundred meters long.

Its scales shimmered like obsidian, and every beat of its wings stirred the clouds.

"It's a… dragon?" someone muttered in stunned disbelief.

From a distance, Dragon—leader of the Revolutionary Army—stared hard at the massive creature, his expression grave. "Could it be… is that Uranus?"

Compared to this creature, even the artificial red dragon from Punk Hazard seemed like a child's toy. This black dragon was no weapon—it was a legacy, a living testament to the might of the great kingdom that existed 800 years ago.

The two Five Elders emerged from the ruined interior of Pangaea Castle, walking behind the long-robed Imu.

The moment the black dragon saw her… its intelligent, crimson eye narrowed sharply.

And in that instant, fear and submission flickered deep within its gaze.

Above the battlefield, under the stunned gazes of Ace, Sabo, and the others, the black dragon flapped its enormous wings and soared to hover directly over Imu's head. Its sharp, dragon eyes swept across the war-torn field below.

"To think... the Five Elders stand at her side like attendants. Just who is that person?"

Dragon's voice was low, but his eyes revealed the immense shock he felt as he stared at Imu.

"This aura… bottomless and ancient. Could she be the true mastermind behind the World Government—the one that Ron mentioned?"

Rayleigh's eyes were grave as he too fixed his gaze on Imu. Even veterans like Fleet Admiral Sengoku, Kong, Tsuru, and Aokiji wore expressions of disbelief.

They had always believed that the Five Elders were the highest authority in the World Government, but now it seemed… someone even more terrifying stood above them.

Imu raised her head, her lifeless eyes flashing with a faint red glow.

A terrifying wave of Conqueror's Haki burst forth from her body. It swept through Mary Geoise in an instant like a tidal ripple, then surged out from the Red Line's summit and spread across the entire world.

The skies above the Grand Line and the New World changed color in an instant.

On countless islands, people were overwhelmed by the pressure. Many collapsed to the ground, their eyes rolling back as they lost consciousness from the sheer force of it.

Even Luffy and Zoro—who had just defeated Weevil—were hit hard by the pressure. Their bodies froze for several seconds, their minds blank. When their awareness returned, they stared in shock in the direction of Mary Geoise.

"What the hell is this terrifying aura?!"

"Who could it be?!"

"There's still someone like that out there in the sea?!"

Back at Mary Geoise—

Ace, Sabo, and Marco were equally shaken, staring at Imu in horror.

This power… this wasn't something within the bounds of anything they had ever known.

"She's strong—unimaginably strong!"

"The World Government was hiding someone like her all this time?!"

Zephyr, Rayleigh, and Dragon all had heavy expressions.

Even Kaido, now in his strongest form, had his gaze locked on Imu in the distance.

Neither the Admirals, nor the Fleet Admiral, nor even the Five Elders gave off the kind of threatening aura that she did.

From her… Kaido could feel the shadow of death looming over him.

"A level beyond the third stage… she's reached the fourth stage—an ultimate form of Conqueror's Haki. Just as I thought."

A calm voice rang out over the tense battlefield.

Everyone instinctively looked toward its source.

Dressed in his signature black cloak, Ron suddenly appeared at the center of the shattered plaza—directly in front of Imu.

Sengoku clenched his fists tightly and glared at him.

"So… you've finally arrived."

As all eyes turned to him—

Ron stood tall, his crimson blade Blood Moon sheathed at his waist, both hands clasped behind his back. His expression was composed, calm, utterly unfazed. His deep blue eyes gleamed like crystals, as though capable of seeing through all of reality itself. He looked directly at the woman in the long black cloak and spoke with a faint smile:

"This ancient, desolate, and decaying aura… if my guess is correct, you must've used the power of some Devil Fruit to survive all the way from eight hundred years ago."

The expressions of the Five Elders changed drastically in an instant.

"!!!!"

Everyone in Mary Geoise was shaken by that single sentence.

Imu's deadened gaze remained fixed on Ron.

"But… it doesn't matter anymore."

Ron slowly drew the crimson blade at his waist, and pointed it forward, his azure eyes never leaving Imu.

"Because everything… ends today."

A king has come to face another king.

This was no mere beginning—

It would be the end of all things.
