Luffy's presence drew a crowd.

Smoker, with Tashigi, had been waiting at the Loguetown Marine base, prepared for battle.

"Colonel Smoker, they say Revolutionary leader Dragon will appear in Loguetown.

Fleet Admiral Sengoku told us to follow White Dove, but he hasn't arrived yet. What do we do?" Tashigi asked.

At the mention of White Dove's name, Smoker fell into a reverie, remembering their promotion battle.

The utter helplessness he felt facing White Dove. He'd been arrogant then, believing he'd grow quickly, but the gap between himself and White Dove had widened considerably.

"If we keep waiting for White Dove, we'll never improve!"

Smoker donned his Justice coat and strode towards the platform.

Tashigi, after a moment's hesitation, followed.

On the square, Luffy stood excitedly on the platform.

A Loguetown official approached with a Den Den Mushi.

"Get down from there! That's a World Government execution platform. Get down NOW!"

Luffy, yearning to be Pirate King, didn't want to leave so soon.

He cupped his hands to his mouth. "Don't be so unreasonable! I…"

Before he could finish, a figure in a grey cloak appeared, his gaze fixed on Luffy.

Ryuya sensed the presence and turned.

The figure removed his cloak, revealing Buggy the Clown—a large red nose, green shoulder pads, blue hair, and an orange hat.

Buggy pointed at Luffy. "After you sent me flying, I had to reunite with my crew. I won't let you get away!"

A wooden platform suddenly descended, trapping Luffy's head and arms. Buggy's men had prepared it.

Buggy spread his arms wide. "Buggy the Clown will perform a magnificent public execution!"

He laughed maniacally. "You're completely immobilized, Straw Hat! Isn't this glorious?"

Buggy climbed onto the platform. "Straw Hat will be executed!"

Ryuya shook his head. "Villains always talk too much!

Even killing someone, he's so inefficient."

The sky darkened, thunder rumbling—a sign of Dragon's arrival.

Ryuya paid it no mind; he wanted to see if the original events would unfold.

The crowd grew, gathering below the platform. Luffy declared, "I… will be the Pirate King!"

The crowd was shocked.

"He wants to be Pirate King?!"

"He's dreaming!"

"Does he think it's that easy?"

Then, three figures arrived—Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp.

They'd just arrived in Loguetown to resupply, only to find their captain missing.

They found the crowded square, feeling a surge of fear.

Usopp, puffing out his chest, said, "Are they scared of us? Our reputation has spread far and wide!"

But the sound of approaching footsteps made Usopp turn. Smoker and Tashigi, along with many Marines, appeared.

Usopp's back was drenched in sweat.

"Zoro, Sanji, let's run!"

Zoro said, "Not before saving the captain! Since there's no escape, let's fight!"

Zoro charged!
