A cannonball was launched straight toward the unknown flying object.

"Let me go, you stupid bird!" Luffy shouted, struggling to pull his head out of the bird's mouth.

Suddenly, right near the bird's beak—BOOM!An explosion.

The bird screeched, opening its mouth wide—and Luffy felt gravity take over.

"WAAAAAHH!" He dropped like a stone.

Down below, in Orange Town…

Nami was running through the streets, chased by angry Buggy Pirates.

Then, they heard a sudden explosion above them.

"LOOK! Something's falling!" a pirate screamed.

Luffy crashed face-first into the ground.

Good thing he was a rubber man.

"WAAAA!" Luffy stretched out like a deflated balloon."Why'd they hit me with a cannon?! …Anyway, that was a smooth landing."

"HE'S ALIVE?!" the pirates screamed in shock.Even Nami was stunned he survived a fall from that height.

Then, as if a lightbulb flicked on above her head, she grinned mischievously.

"BOSS!"

"Boss?" Luffy tilted his head, confused.

"You finally made it! I'll leave everything to you!" And with that, she ran off.

"So weird… Where are Lucen and Zoro?" Luffy looked around, blinking.That's when he realized—he was completely surrounded.

At Orange Town Harbor…

"So this is where the clown lives, huh?" Lucen said with dead seriousness.

Zoro was on high alert, scanning the surroundings.

"Why is the village so empty?" he asked.

"Master Zoro, our Buggy Pirates are currently raiding the village!" one of the pirates said, flattery all over his face.

"As expected… he truly loves chaos," Lucen said, his jaw tightening.

Zoro's mouth twitched. This whole thing was starting to feel over-the-top.

"Come on, he can't be that dangerous," Zoro muttered, arms crossed.

Just then—BOOOOM!

A massive explosion rocked the town, many buildings crumbled in the distance.

"WHAT THE—?!" Zoro's eyes widened in disbelief.He had never seen such destruction from a single blast.

"T-That's the Buggy Ball!" one of the pirates cried out, collapsing in fear.

"Whoa! That's some serious destructive power," Lucen said.

"I heard he's really good at chemistry," Lucen added, staring at the demolished buildings.

Zoro, who thought Lucen was exaggerating, suddenly started to believe every word.

"Let's go. We might find some info on Luffy."Zoro turned and began walking toward the source of the blast.

"HI! HI! SIR!" Lucen did a salute and followed Zoro.

Inside Town, Buggy's Base

"Nami… what do you think you're doing?" Buggy snarled.

Originally, Nami planned to use Luffy as bait, steal Buggy's treasure, then find a way to save Luffy. She wasn't heartless, after all.

But the plan changed when Buggy decided to kill Luffy.

She couldn't stand being the kind of pirate she hated.

"Pirates stole someone important from me… I HATE pirates!" Nami shouted, swinging her staff at Buggy's men.

"So that's why you don't like pirates," Luffy said, watching her.

Then his eyes caught a cannon—the fuse already lit.

"ACK! The fuse is burning!" Luffy bit down on the cage bars, trying to break free.

Nami took down a few incoming pirates and dashed toward the cannon.

She pressed her hand on the burning fuse to stop it.

Her expression twisted in pain, but she didn't flinch.

"YOU—Behind you!" Luffy yelled, seeing more pirates rushing in.

But it was too late. Nami couldn't turn in time.

The pirates grinned, thinking they had her—Until their faces slammed into something hard.

"Just how many of you need to charge at one girl?" Zoro said calmly, having blocked them with his sheathed sword.

"WHOA! Zoro! That was such a cool entrance!" Lucen walked in through the gate.

"Zoro! Lucen! You're finally here!" Luffy shouted excitedly from his cage."Hurry up and get me outta here!"

Everyone in the room turned to the newcomers.

"So… these are his crewmates he was talking about," Nami muttered, her eyes landing on Lucen.

"So… cute…"

Buggy's eyes narrowed at Lucen, completely ignoring Zoro—even though he was a famous pirate hunter across East Blue.

He pointed at Lucen, shouting:

"YOU! Are you mocking me?!"

"Huh?" Lucen blinked in confusion—until his eyes landed on Buggy's nose.

"A BIG RED NOSE!" Lucen exclaimed in awe.

The Buggy Pirates all gasped, jaws dropping.

Even Nami felt her soul leave her body."This cute idiot's going to get us killed…"

"YOU'RE DEAD!" Buggy screamed.

"Your opponent is me!" Zoro said, taking his battle stance and charging at Buggy.

But Buggy didn't move. He let Zoro slash right through him.

His body split into pieces and fell to the floor.

"So weak," Luffy said.

But the Buggy Pirates started laughing—hard.

"Why are they laughing when their captain got sliced?!" Nami asked, weirded out.

Zoro, meanwhile, was internally screaming.

Lucen totally hyped him up and he went down in one hit?!

Then—

"Are you okay?"

Nami turned, snapped out of her thoughts by Lucen's voice.

"I'm fine," she replied, a bit dazed because of everything going on.

"AHHH!" Zoro suddenly screamed in pain.

A hand had stabbed his stomach from behind.

"W-What?! That hand—!" Nami recognized it immediately.

"GYAAHAHAHA!" Buggy cackled as his body reassembled.

"You can't cut me! I ate the Chop-Chop Fruit!" Buggy declared, laughing with his crew.

Just then—SQUISH.

Buggy's nose was squished by Lucen's hand.

"WOW! It's real!" Lucen said, amazed. He thought it was a prop the whole time.

Everyone stared in shock—unable to breathe from pure disbelief.

Except Luffy, of course. He was just smiling, stars in his eyes.

"Cool! A real red nose!"

Buggy's face darkened."YOU. ARE. DEAD. BOY!"

Knives appeared in his hands, and he hurled them at Lucen.

Lucen jumped back just in time.

Zoro was panting. "Damn it… I already knew he had a Devil Fruit. Even Lucen warned me…"
