Chapter 159: Chapter 159: Newkama Land.
After executing Shiryu, Chiga once again used the power of the Op-Op Fruit to teleport away.
With Shiryu's death, the prisoners in Impel Down fell completely silent—docile as lambs.
In one of the cells, Bartholomew Ledfield, known as "Redfield," wore a grim expression.
His Observation Haki was incredibly refined, allowing him to perceive what was happening throughout Impel Down. Feeling the subtle yet overwhelming aura radiating from Chiga, Redfield—who could rival a Yonko commander—sighed.
"I've really been locked up for too long. Have the younger generation already grown this powerful?"
He straightened his posture, calm and ready to face death. As a proud warrior, he felt no fear.
In his eyes, death was inevitable. Better to face it with dignity.
Footsteps echoed through the corridor. Redfield's eyes sharpened.
"He's here."
But Chiga, walking alongside Kalifa, only glanced at Redfield before passing by without a word.
That single glance, however, was enough to send a cold sweat down Redfield's back. He remained frozen, muttering to himself,
"He didn't kill me. Why?"
Chiga, already far away, naturally didn't hear him. He had spared Redfield simply because he wasn't worth the effort.
Redfield had been obedient during his time in Impel Down. More importantly, he hadn't eaten a Devil Fruit, so Chiga wasn't interested in him.
Having nearly completed his objectives, Chiga only planned to deal with a few remaining nuisances before leaving.
"Ah!"
"Don't come any closer!!"
Two screams rang out in quick succession. Redfield's body trembled—he recognized the voices. One belonged to Avalo Pizarro, the "Corrupt King." The other to Sanjuan Wolf.
Their auras disappeared completely.
And then Chiga's overwhelming presence slowly faded from the prison.
Once he was gone, the entire prison exhaled in collective relief. Compared to Chiga's brief but terrifying presence, their time in Impel Down had felt like paradise.
Now that the God of Slaughter had departed, many collapsed where they stood, breathless and trembling, like survivors of a brutal war.
…
As they walked, Chiga suddenly paused. Turning to Kalifa beside him, he said,
"Kalifa, I'll send you to the top floor first. Wait for me there—I won't be long."
Kalifa adjusted her glasses, nodded, and replied,
"Okay, Boss."
Chiga pulled her into a hug, kissed her cheek, and while she was still dazed, expanded his ROOM space to teleport her away.
Swish!
Kalifa appeared at the top-floor entrance of Impel Down. Domino happened to be nearby.
Startled by her sudden arrival, Domino instinctively pushed up her sunglasses—a familiar gesture Kalifa herself often made.
Kalifa didn't notice Domino. Her face was still tinged with a blush, her lips slightly pouting as she murmured,
"Boss is so naughty. Next time, we should find a better place…"
—
At the boundary between Levels 6 and 5 of Impel Down, Chiga closed his eyes, sensing the prison's entire structure.
After a brief moment, he opened them again, smiling.
"Found it. I almost forgot about this place."
With that, his figure flickered and vanished.
Impel Down Level 5.5 — Newkama Land
The secret underground haven was alive with celebration. A crowd of flamboyantly dressed individuals danced under glowing lights.
At the center of the party stood a person with an enormous head, a purple afro, and bold makeup—Emporio Ivankov, the Okama King, wielder of the Horm-Horm Fruit.
Ivankov was happily leading the festivities when suddenly, Chiga appeared in the middle of the crowd.
Everyone froze.
Even Iva blinked in confusion at the young man in a Marine Admiral's coat who had just appeared out of thin air.
"Boy, who are you? How did you get in here?"
Chiga took in Ivankov's towering frame and peculiar style with a brief moment of surprise.
Then, with a polite smile, he said,
"You must be Okama King Ivankov. Nice to meet you. I am Marine Headquarters Admiral—Uchiha Chiga."
"Oh, so you're a Marine Admi—NANI!?"
The surrounding crowd gasped, raising their hands in shock. Ivankov jumped in alarm and then crashed back to the ground.
His gaze fixated on the Marine epaulets and the "Justice" coat that Chiga wore. A bead of sweat rolled down his face.
As a Revolutionary Army executive, he recognized the uniform. But seeing it worn by someone so young left him stunned.
Before his imprisonment, the Admirals were Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji. Chiga was entirely unfamiliar to him.
Swallowing nervously, Ivankov asked, still uncertain,
"You say you're a Marine Admiral. Can you prove it?"
"Yes."
Chiga opened his Rinnegan eyes.
A wave of terrifying pressure, laced with purplish-black lightning, surged through Newkama Land.
Boom—Boom—Boom!
Prisoners dropped like wheat under a scythe.
Ivankov's face turned pale. He stared in horror at Chiga, who remained relaxed and casual.
Conqueror's Haki. And not even at full force.
Ivankov hurriedly waved his hands. "Alright, alright! I believe you!"
Chiga nodded and retracted the Haki.
Breathing heavily, Ivankov slowly stood upright, then asked,
"So... what does a Marine Admiral want with me? Are you here to arrest me?"
Chiga smiled slightly and opened a Door-Door portal. From within, he retrieved a Devil Fruit and calmly replied,
"Don't misunderstand. I'm here to make a trade."
