Chapter 126: Chapter 126: Killing Momonosuke.

Wano Country — Oden Castle Ruins

After Kin'emon dissipated into shards of ice, he revealed the remaining figures behind him: Momonosuke, Raizo, Kanjuro, and Kikunojo.

Chiga nodded. The composition of these four was... less than impressive: a coward, a fake ninja, a traitor, and a cross-dresser.

The only reason they survived the earlier onslaught of black flames was thanks to that fake ninja — Raizo.

This guy possessed a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit known as the Scroll-Scroll Fruit. It allowed him to absorb and store attacks or objects within scrolls, then release them at will. A spatial-type ability — somewhat rare among Paramecia.

Chiga mused that this ability was similar to the storage scrolls in Naruto. Tenten was skilled at using them, and even Hashirama had used a similar scroll during his fight with Madara.

Raizo had used this Devil Fruit to absorb the black flames that had targeted the group earlier.

Kin'emon, on the other hand, had simply been stubborn. He probably believed his "Foxfire Style" could cut through anything, even those flames.

Kanjuro and Kikunojo stood behind Raizo, both shaken by Kin'emon's death. Kikunojo was visibly grieving, but Kanjuro, the traitor, was more conflicted. He had been playing his role for so long that even he couldn't fully separate fact from fiction anymore.

The scene before him, however, was sobering. If this man wasn't an agent of Orochi, then he might die here today without even knowing why.

While the others were caught up in their thoughts, Momonosuke was blank with fear. A puddle formed beneath his feet — he'd wet himself.

Raizo clenched his teeth in fury. As the leader of the Nine Red Scabbards, Kin'emon had been their guiding light after Oden's death. Now, with Momonosuke in this pathetic state, there was no one to lead them.

Veins bulged on Raizo's hand as he unrolled his scroll and shouted:

"Scroll-Scroll Art: Return!"

The black flames he had previously absorbed surged out, racing toward Chiga. Raizo watched, expecting the man to be incinerated.

But reality crushed his hopes.

The black flames halted mid-air, as if recognizing their master, and gathered neatly into Chiga's palm.

Chiga looked at the flickering flames and smirked.

"Did you really think I'd be burned by my own attack?"

Raizo's face turned pale, but he refused to give up. With a quick flick of his scroll, he roared:

"Scroll-Scroll Art: Fire Release!"

This time, a torrent of red flames burst from the scroll.

Hearing the phrase Fire Release, Chiga scoffed.

"Trying to play with fire in front of an Uchiha… You must have a death wish."

Without even bothering with hand signs, Chiga inhaled deeply and expelled a blazing inferno.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A massive fireball shot forth, easily the size of a warship. Its temperature was scorching, far surpassing anything Itachi or Sasuke had ever conjured — even dwarfing Ace's Flame Emperor in sheer heat.

The moment Raizo saw the fireball expanding toward him, his pupils contracted. He knew he couldn't stop it.

His scroll was still releasing flames and couldn't absorb new attacks. Even if it could, he wasn't sure it could handle a fireball of this magnitude.

But Raizo was still a loyal ninja of Wano. Gritting his teeth, he shouted:

"Get out of here! I'll try to hold it back! Kanjuro, use your Devil Fruit!"

The others didn't hesitate. Kanjuro whipped out his oversized brush and hastily sketched a bird — the Painting Bird.

In his panic, he forgot to fake it with his left hand and drew with his dominant right. As a result, the creature was far more lifelike and effective than usual.

Kanjuro grabbed Momonosuke by the collar, tossed him onto the bird's back, and leapt on alongside Kikunojo.

The Painting Bird, drawn with full attention and urgency, flapped its wings and soared at remarkable speed.

Seconds later, the Great Fireball engulfed Raizo. He didn't even scream — he was incinerated on the spot.

There was no time for grief. Kanjuro urged the bird forward, desperate to escape the monster below.

But he underestimated Chiga.

With a single raised hand, Chiga used Banshō Ten'in, yanking the Painting Bird out of the sky.

It crashed to the ground. Luckily, the creature cushioned the fall before fading, sparing the passengers from death — though they were left disoriented and badly shaken.

Before they could recover, two streaks of violet lightning flashed down from the sky. Kanjuro and Kikunojo were vaporized.

Ironically, Kanjuro — the traitor — hadn't even gotten the chance to fully demonstrate his Brush-Brush Fruit's power before dying. In truth, his ability bore a strong resemblance to Sai's Super Beast Imitating Drawing from Naruto.

With them gone, only Momonosuke remained.

He was kneeling, trembling in terror. Before he could move, Banshō Ten'in pulled him into the air by the neck.

His legs kicked wildly. He almost wet himself again — but thankfully, there was nothing left to pee after Kin'emon's death.

Chiga stared at the whimpering child.

Now he truly understood Kaido's frustration. This was the heir of Oden? A sniveling coward who couldn't even face death with dignity?

At eight years old, shinobi children in Naruto were already killing on the battlefield. Meanwhile, this brat couldn't even stand up to Kaido, the one who had slain his parents.

The difference was staggering.

With a sigh, Chiga raised his hand. A flash of lightning — and Momonosuke's body crumbled to ash, joining his father's retainers in death.
