One Piece: Revenge of the Slaves

Chapter 109: OPRS: Chapter 109

Alistair, in mid-air, was using a wingsuit for the first time. Wingsuit flying has a 30% fatality rate; it's a daredevil's game. But in the One Piece world, even the weakest woman is stronger than an average man from Alistair's previous world; the physical capabilities of strong individuals defy logic.

Alistair's physique had improved significantly since living there, perhaps due to the Sea Kings or the air itself. He quickly adapted to wingsuit flying, something most people in his previous life couldn't even try. Ace and Hancock adapted even faster, but they held back out of respect for Alistair.

The ordinary Revolutionary Army members, lacking wingsuits, deployed their parachutes, descending like dandelion seeds. Alistair and the others descended much faster, buffeted by the wind.

Alistair remained calm; he had a parachute; he adjusted his posture, preventing the wind from penetrating between his limbs. His descent slowed; he seemed to stand in the wind. Suddenly, lightning struck; Enel landed on Alistair's shoulders, nearly causing him to fall.

"Oh, so that's how it's done. Not bad." Enel adjusted his position, using Alistair as a makeshift board.

Hancock was furious. As a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user, she couldn't exert force in mid-air, especially with the wingsuit. Ace, using his flame-based propulsion, knocked Enel off Alistair.

In the sky, they controlled their flight posture and speed like an airplane. Human flight, previously impossible, was now possible. Humans could glide farther and longer than they could fall. With sufficient altitude, they could stay airborne longer than those with parachutes. They seemed to float, letting the parachutists pass—this was achievable. At high altitude, wingsuits allowed longer airtime.

Seeing Lafitte approaching with the balloon octopuses, Alistair deployed his parachute. Several more parachutes blossomed behind him. This was a new experience; they might not use wingsuits or parachutes again, but the experience was beneficial. Alistair would teach them parachute combat and paragliding techniques.

Alistair and the others landed in Mock Town slightly after the balloon octopuses. Mock Town was already bustling; a crowd surrounded the designated plaza. Soldiers formed a wall, holding back the townspeople and new pirates. Their mere presence was enough to deter others; behind them were the three hundred Revolutionary Army members and special forces.

When Enel landed near the gold, the situation stabilized; everyone quieted down. Everyone gasped: another Logia-type Devil Fruit user! He didn't attack the Revolutionaries; they were allies. Alistair had acquired another Logia user!

Logia-type Devil Fruits weren't common; of the eleven in the story, four were Navy, three were Admirals—their strength was evident. Alistair possessed two Logia users and a Shichibukai; his forces were formidable, capable of attracting a large following, like Buggy's; Alistair had the Kuja pirates and five hundred elite soldiers. His forces surpassed the Shichibukai, reaching Yonko level.

This was just the outside perception. Alistair knew he was far from a Yonko; even with this strength, what was there to boast about? He was still far from the Navy's strength!

"Ace, move the gold," Alistair gestured to Ace, ignoring Enel, instructing William and the others to move the gold.

Ace drew his knife, releasing the hot air balloons. He casually tossed a gold bar. It landed with a thud, raising a cloud of dust; everyone was shocked. Gold bars were thrown out, one by one; everyone held their breath, watching the heavy gold land.

Each bar weighed around 300kg; they were worth tens of millions of Berries; even Alistair was amazed.

Finally, they caught their breath. They shouted: "Gold City! They found the Gold City! They emptied the Gold City!!"

Mock Town exploded; the news shocked everyone; they saw only gold, greed in their eyes.

Without the muskets, the Revolutionary Army, the special forces, the two Logia users, and the Shichibukai, the crowd would have turned into rioters, risking everything for this wealth.
