Chapter 106: OPRS: Chapter 106
Everyone gasped.
"That's Admiral Akainu!" Ace exclaimed.
The Skypiea representatives mostly followed suit, but the others were genuinely shocked. The weathered face, sharp angles, and piercing gaze were unmistakably Admiral Akainu's. With a hat, it would be a perfect imitation. Even those unfamiliar with the world's power structure knew of the three Admirals.
The three Admirals—Kizaru, Aokiji, and Akainu—were pseudonyms, code names; like narcotics officers rarely appearing on camera, they needed to protect their privacy and families. But their reputations and strength were undeniable.
Kizaru was supposedly the fastest; Aokiji was the most efficient at capturing criminals; Akainu was the most ruthless killer. He didn't spare anyone—pirates, mobsters, underworld figures—his ruthlessness made him more famous than the other Admirals. Under Sengoku, Akainu was the Navy's face.
"Why Akainu?" Alistair's face itched; Robin started working again; this time, she was serious. Alistair's physique differed greatly from Akainu's, but Robin could use muscle to achieve Akainu's sharp features. Why Akainu? Everyone wondered.
"Because Akainu is a staunchly law-abiding individual; for him, order is power, an inviolable principle."
"His ruthlessness stems from his hatred of those who disrupt order."
"His views are similar to ours." Everyone's eyes widened.
"If he were ours, he'd be a positive force; working for the Celestial Dragons, he's negative."
"He's difficult to sway."
"But we don't need to sway him; we just need the Celestial Dragons to reject him."
"We'll use his face to spread our ideas."
"He's likely to say these things."
"If the Celestial Dragons suspect him, he'll lose his position and become useless to them."
"He's loyal to the Celestial Dragons' order, right?"
"We'll exclude him from that order."
As Alistair spoke, Robin skillfully transformed his face into Akainu's. With a cigar, it would be perfect. He smiled, his facial muscles shifting, giving him a hint of Kizaru's appearance, amusing everyone.
Nico Robin's laughter was infectious.
This comical Akainu was unprecedented.
Alistair shrugged; this wasn't surprising; Akainu's infrequent smiles made the contrast hilarious. Alistair learned not to smile while impersonating Akainu.
He examined his Akainu-like face, nodding. "Let's record the first lesson."
"Fifteen copies—one for Skypiea, one for Mock Town, twelve for us; leave one for promising recruits."
Alistair instructed Robin.
She nodded, producing fifteen Sound and Shadow Shells. These had to be used together; they were more important than Wind and Flame Shells; their supply was ample; Skypiea had collected hundreds. This was enough for Alistair.
Alistair used the shells skillfully, even using Light Shells for lighting, enhancing the image clarity—basic lighting techniques. He seemed to have always known how to use them.
Ignoring the surprised looks, Alistair shrugged. "With the Celestial Dragons, there were advanced Den Den Mushi that transmitted images; you might not have seen them, but they allowed Celestial Dragons to chat; I learned lighting techniques there."
Celestial Dragons valued appearances; Alistair's clearer images impressed them.
Alistair's explanation was accepted; he appeared as Akainu. Everyone held their breath.
"Hello, I'm Alistair, your instructor."
"You know who this face belongs to; I'm not Akainu; I'm just borrowing his appearance. Don't mistake me for him; Akainu's anger is dangerous."
"Let's begin our first lesson."
"How to overthrow your king."
Alistair spoke clearly and logically, using a calm, clear voice. He sat at the table, speaking for over thirty minutes until Robin signaled that the Shadow Shells' recording time was up.
"That's it for today; see you next time."
The recording stopped. The muscle disappeared; Alistair turned to the stunned onlookers, smiling. "Thoughts?"
