During this week, Byakuya did not remain idle.

Instead, he commanded the Night Organization to go all out in hunting down the remaining pirates in the New World, focusing especially on Devil Fruit users.

At the same time, they collected newly spawned Devil Fruits from the seas, converting them into World Source Points.

With trade between Byakuya and the Revolutionary Army becoming increasingly frequent, the speed at which he acquired World Source Points grew exponentially.

Even though each upgrade required an enormous amount of World Source Points, Byakuya wasn't concerned.

After all, the World Government was still a massive, untouched source of points waiting to be harvested.

There were also countless Devil Fruits across the seas yet to be found. And if necessary, he could even target Luffy and his crew.

As time ticked away, the atmosphere within the World Government grew more and more tense.

Only three days remained until the one-week deadline Byakuya had set.

The Five Elders sat silently on their sofas in Mary Geoise, inside a spacious chamber.

According to Lord Imu's orders, they were to allow the Night Organization to attack, as Imu would personally deal with Byakuya.

Naturally, they dared not oppose Imu's command.

Moreover, they were well aware of Imu's god-like strength. However, Byakuya's terrifying power was just as daunting.

After ruling the World Government for so many years, the Five Elders had come to a chilling realization—whenever Byakuya was involved, nothing ever went according to their plans.

After a long silence, the bald Five Elder hesitated before suggesting, "Why don't we leak Shanks' whereabouts to Byakuya?"

"After all, our relationship with Shanks is nothing more than a cooperation. Even if he dies, it won't affect us much."

"But if Byakuya and the Night Organization really invade Mary Geoise, the entire Red Line might be reduced to ruins."

As a former Pirate King Roger's ship apprentice, Shanks had never reached the final island, Laugh Tale.

However, he inherited Roger's longing for freedom and his deep understanding of the Great Pirate Era.

He believed that only Luffy could fulfill the dream Roger had hoped to see realized when he set that era into motion—the dream that could only be understood after reaching Laugh Tale.

That was why Shanks bet his right arm on Luffy, passing down the captain's straw hat to him.

At the same time, as one of the Four Emperors, Shanks maintained a cooperative relationship with the World Government to uphold a relative balance and prevent widespread war.

This was a situation that the World Government also desired—only when nations lived under the constant threat of pirates would they willingly join the World Government, pay the Heavenly Tribute, and seek the Marines' protection.

If all pirates were eliminated and the world became truly safe, these nations would no longer feel the need to pay the tribute.

If the government tried to enforce it by force, it would only fuel resentment toward the Celestial Dragons.

Coupled with the Celestial Dragons' reckless and oppressive nature, a direct conflict between the people and the World Government would become inevitable.

Maintaining the status quo allowed the government to keep the population in fear, ensuring their obedience.

This was the unspoken agreement between Shanks and the World Government.

In turn, Shanks provided Luffy with a relatively stable environment in which to grow stronger, hoping that one day, Luffy could achieve what Captain Roger could not.

But just when everything was progressing as Shanks had envisioned, an unexpected factor emerged—Byakuya and the Night Organization.

Not only had Byakuya shattered the fragile peace Shanks had worked so hard to maintain, but he had also nearly killed Luffy—the very person Shanks had placed all his hopes in.

Byakuya was clearly not the one Shanks had been waiting for, so he had chosen to join forces with the World Government to eliminate this unpredictable threat.

However, Byakuya's strength had far exceeded everyone's expectations.

Knowing he couldn't face Byakuya head-on, Shanks had gone into hiding, erasing all traces of his whereabouts.

Of course, the World Government still had ways to contact him and confirm his location.

Hearing the bald Five Elder's suggestion, the bearded Five Elder furiously rebuked, "You're defying Lord Imu's will!"

The bald Five Elder retorted, "I just don't want Mary Geoise to suffer any damage!"

As the two continued to argue, the long-bearded Five Elder interjected, "Lord Imu's will is absolute, but given how things have developed, we need to prepare for both possibilities."

"We should summon Shanks to Mary Geoise and have Kong arrange for the Marines to deploy heavy defenses against the Night Organization."

The blond Five Elder nodded, adding, "Exactly. I refuse to believe that with Lord Imu personally taking action, along with the full might of the World Government, we still wouldn't be able to stop Byakuya."

"If that were the case, we might as well surrender right now."

Another Five Elder then asked, "And what about the Revolutionary Army?"

"Recently, they've gained several new powerful officers who have been causing significant disruption across the other three seas."

"If we continue ignoring them, they might take full control of all four seas."

"There's no rush," the long-bearded Five Elder replied.

"We don't have time to deal with the Revolutionary Army right now. Let them grow for the time being."

"Carrying for them won't take much effort once we eradicate Byakuya and the Night Organization." The others agreed.

"That's right. As long as we eliminate Byakuya, the Revolutionary Army will have no future."

With that, the Five Elders finalized their plan—mobilizing all available forces for an all-out battle against the Night Organization.

Meanwhile, the Red-Haired Pirates remained hidden somewhere on an unknown island in the New World.

Enel had nearly discovered them once while passing by, but due to Benn Beckman's powerful Observation Haki, the range of Enel's Mantra (Observation Haki) had been suppressed, allowing them to remain undetected.

However, it seemed they could no longer stay in hiding. After Shanks hung up the call from the Five Elders, his expression became solemn.

Beckman approached and asked, "What did they say?"

Shanks let out a deep sigh. "They want us to go to Mary Geoise and prepare for the final battle against Byakuya…"

He fell into deep thought, his face troubled. Beckman exhaled heavily and said, "We don't have any better options."

"Even if we refuse to participate in this battle, neither side will let us go unscathed."

"Especially Byakuya—he's conducted large-scale searches across the New World just to find us."

"Only one of us can survive this. We have no choice but to rely on the World Government."

Shanks glanced at Benn Beckman's empty right arm, and hesitation appeared on his face for the first time in a long while.

Ever since becoming Emperor of the Sea, he had never felt this conflicted. "Beckman, do you think we can defeat Byakuya?"

Beckman took a deep breath and replied, "No matter the outcome, we only have one chance to try."

"At the very least, we can say we fought for our beliefs, even if it costs us our lives."

Shanks sighed, his expression filled with regret. "If only Luffy had grown stronger a little faster…"
