Chapter 32: Titans

Stood just on the perimeter of the crater, Ray waited patiently for Kaido to reappear. He didn't have to wait long however as Kaido's massive figure leaped above, back to his human form.

Ray inspected Kaido's condition and to no surprise that previous blow didn't effect him much, all it did was make Kaido bleed a little.

"Wo Ro Ro Ro, that was a surprise! I see why King lost at your hands" exclaimed Kaido as his eyes gleamed in long lost excitement.

"You shall be no different, lizard..." responded Ray as he prepared himself for the next clash.

Taking the initiative, Kaido blitzed towards Ray in unhuman speeds. Feeling his Observation Haki flare up, Ray held up his blade with both hands to block.

Not even a split second later, a massive kanabo coated in intense Conqueror's Haki smashed into Ray's katana. The ground unable to withstand the pressure, quickly crumbled but Ray was able to withstand the Yonko's initial blow.

"Getting impatient are we!" shouted Ray as he tightly hung onto his sword, the sheer physical prowess of Kaido was immense not to mention his domineering Haki.

Seeing this contest of strength as pointless, Ray retreated dozens of metres away as Kaido's kanabo smashed onto the ground. The impact so strong, it sent a booming shockwave throughout the area.

Ray darted forward, his blade flashing in a swift arc toward his opponent's chest with black and red lightning dancing around the blade.

One Sword Style- Swift End

Kaido blocked the strike with a loud clang, his kanabo trembling from the impact, but he immediately countered with a brutal overhead swing in response.

As predicted, Ray ducked and rolled, coming up behind Kaido with a quick slash aimed at his back. But Kaido came down with a heavy thud, narrowly deflecting the strike and sending Ray stumbling.

With a grunt, Ray pressed the advantage, swinging his sword in wide, powerful arcs, each blow aimed to decimate Kaido's flesh. Kaido danced backward, narrowly avoiding each deadly strike showcasing his formidable Observation Haki.

No matter how cocky Kaido was, he firmly believed Ray had the power to harm him with that Haki of his.

Suddenly, Kaido surged forward with a ferocious roar, using the weight of his kanabo to launch an unstoppable flurry of attacks. Ray parried the first few blows, his arms aching from the sheer force, but then a crack in his guard appeared. The kanabo smashed through, numbing Ray's arm.

Blood dripped, but Ray gritted his teeth and spun, using his opponent's overcommitment against him. With his blade overflowing with Conqueror's Haki, he swept his sword low, slicing through Kaido's side as the heavy blade missed its mark. Kaido staggered back, looking displeased with the wound.

For a moment, the clearing was silent. Then Ray closed the distance, his blade slicing upward with deadly precision. However this time Kaido was prepared and effectively blocked the blade.

The moment their gazes met, the atmosphere grew heavy, thick with the weight of their unspoken tension.

ZzzZt

A burst of Conqueror's Haki flared from Kaido as he started to take the fight seriously. Ray determined to match him responded.

ZzzZt

A thunderous wave of invisible power slammed into the air between them. The ground trembled beneath their feet, the very sky seemed to quiver. The clash of their wills spread waves of force radiated from them in every direction.

Kaido's haki felt like a massive tide, a relentless wave pushing everything before it. His aura surged with crushing intensity, threatening to break everything in its path. But Ray, despite his smaller stature, met the force head-on with an equally monstrous presence. His haki was sharp, concentrated—like a blade cutting through the ocean of power.

The ground cracked beneath their feet as the two conquerors' wills collided. The shockwave sent ripples through the air, a sonic boom echoing across the battlefield. Trees around them snapped in half like twigs, and the earth itself groaned under the weight of their clash.

Then, with a roar, the clash reached its peak. The ground beneath them shattered, and the very sky seemed to darken, clouds swirling as though being sucked into the force of their battle. It was as if the heavens themselves could not bear the weight of their wills.

From the distance, the marine soldiers were in disbelief as they witnessed the scene first hand. The very sky seemed to split...

"I-Incredible" stammered one soldier.

Another one shaking in admiration and fear whispered "To contend with a Yonko like this... Vice Admiral Ray is truly inspiring".

In contrast Lukas seemed unfazed but the hunger in eyes seemed to gleam ever more.

'One day, I swear I'll be of use teacher' thought Lukas as he focused on the two behemoths in the distance.

The sky above was dark with clouds as the monstrous form of Kaido, the King of the Beasts, loomed over Ray. His massive body was as imposing as the storm he was creating, his sharp, yellow eyes locked on his opponent. The Marine standing before him was no ordinary man—his stance was steady, his eyes focused, and his blade gleamed with the sharpness of countless battles.

"You must be the one they sent to stop me," Kaido growled, his voice a deep rumble like thunder. "A young marine and not Garp?"

The swordsman's grip tightened on his blade, his feet shifting into a battle stance, and he said nothing. His haki pulsed through the air, a silent warning to Kaido of his resolve.

Without hesitation, Kaido swung his massive kanabo, the weapon crackling with raw power, toward Ray. The blow was a death sentence for most who couldn't react in time. Ray, however, was no stranger to overwhelming force. With a swift slash, his sword met the oncoming club, the shockwave reverberating through the ground.

Kaido laughed, swinging again, faster this time, as his monstrous form lunged forward with terrifying speed. "You think you can stop me? I'm Kaido!"

Ray's eyes narrowed as he made use of future sight, his blade flashing in a blur as he intercepted Kaido's next attack. The sheer force of the collision nearly knocked him off balance, but he gritted his teeth, refusing to give ground. He wasn't just fighting for his life; he was fighting for all the dead marines that were unfortunate targets of Kaido's boredom.

With a roar, Kaido swung his club down, aiming for the marine's head. Ray's blade moved like lightning, his sword crackling with haki, and he sliced through the air, slashing at Kaido's weapon. The impact sent a ripple of shock through the air, but Kaido's club was unscathed.

Kaido grinned, his eyes filled with a dark amusement. "Is that all? You're outmatched."

Ray's face remained stoic, even as his arms slowly started to ache from the sheer strength of Kaido's blows. He could feel the overwhelming weight of Kaido's power pushing him back with each clash. But he wasn't done yet.

With a flash of determination, Ray gathered his strength, pouring his will into a single, decisive strike. The blade surged with Conqueror's Haki, a fierce, crackling aura surrounding him as he launched forward. He struck with all the precision of a master, aiming for the exposed side of Kaido's massive frame.

One Sword Style- Hell's end

For a split second, time seemed to slow. The blade cut through the air with a whistling hiss, and Kaido's eyes widened as the sword connected. The force of the strike left a gash across Kaido's side, blood dripping from the wound. It wasn't much, but it showed Ray's prowess.

Kaido's grin faltered for a moment, and then his laughter boomed once more. "Good!," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "But that's not enough to defeat me."

Suddenly, Kaido started to transform into his Human-Beast form as scales appeared on his body and he grew slightly bulkier.

With a snarl, Kaido stepped forward, lifting his kanabo high above his head whilst spinning, the air crackling with the raw might of his Haki. Ray braced himself, eyes gleaming with Observation Haki.

Conqueror of Three Worlds... Ragnaraku!

Kaido's next strike was like a mountain crashing down and unbelievably fast. The air around them tore apart as the kanabo swung with unstoppable force, and Ray barely had time to react. His sword met the weapon with a flash of haki, but the overwhelming might of Kaido's attack and Conqueror's Haki crushed him to the ground, the force of it leaving a massive crater where he stood.

Kaido loomed over him, looking down with a mixture of amusement. "It's too soon for you."

The swordsman, slightly bloodied coughed, lifting his head with a defiant glare.

'God damn monster' thought Ray as he prepared himself for what could be a gruelling couple of days.
