One Piece: Marine Luffy, Garp regrets it

Chapter 589: Reiju: Are You All Perverts?

Watching Sanji's gradually receding back, Reiju suppressed the anger and frustration building inside her. She tilted her head slightly, resting her cheek against her palm, and fixed her beautiful eyes on him without blinking. Slowly, a mischievous smile blossomed at the corner of her lips.

"It seems you've developed quite the backbone over the years," she thought to herself. "But that's hardly a reason for you to lecture your older sister."

Making a split-second decision, she suddenly called out loudly: "Sanji!"

"What now?" Sanji turned around with visible irritation, fully expecting another tantrum from his sister.

But what he saw instead was Reiju smiling brightly, giving him an enthusiastic thumbs-up while playfully winking at him. "You looked so handsome just now! I'm completely charmed!"

"Are you an idiot? I'm being serious here—this isn't a joke!" Sanji completely lost his composure this time, launching into a lecture that continued uninterrupted for a good three or four minutes.

His original intention had been straightforward: to help Reiju interact more with the ship's crew and abandon her royal pride. And yes, perhaps he'd enjoyed the opportunity to lecture and posture a bit in front of his sister. What he hadn't anticipated was that Reiju had been acting all along, merely waiting for him to reach this point so she could mock him.

"My, my, you're already angry? What a sensitive little brother you are," Reiju teased, advancing with a sly smile. She extended her hand as if to comfort a disgruntled puppy, completely ignoring Sanji's resistance as she forcefully patted his head. Then she grabbed his arm and began dragging him in the direction they'd been heading.

"Come on, we're almost late. Take me to meet your friends," she insisted cheerfully.

After stumbling momentarily from her unexpected pulling, Sanji regained his balance, shook off her hand with obvious annoyance, and quickly positioned himself in front of her again.

"Fine, whatever. Let's go directly to the training grounds," he declared tersely. "As a new recruit, I'll teach you how Marine combat works."

With that proclamation, Sanji led the way without another word.

Reiju simply smiled silently, following him without further commentary.

Soon, the siblings arrived at the elevator on the fourth floor, one after the other. After scanning his ID card, Sanji entered the elevator and pressed the button for the second floor.

As Reiju stepped into the elevator behind him, she noticed the identification card in his hand with apparent surprise. "I thought only Luffy and I had access cards like that. I didn't expect an outsider like you would get one too."

She deliberately emphasized the word "outsider," causing a vein to throb visibly on Sanji's forehead.

"Just to remind you," he retorted, barely containing his irritation, "I'm the head chef of the G66 branch. I'm responsible for planning meals not just for this ship but for the entire G66 division."

Hearing Reiju's startled gasp behind him, Sanji finally allowed himself a small, proud smile.

"If you want desserts or special drinks in the future, you'd better watch your attitude and not offend me. Also, I should point out that I've known Luffy much longer than you have."

Recognizing the thinly veiled threat in Sanji's words, Reiju chuckled and raised her hands in mock surrender, pretending to be frightened.

Sanji responded with a cold snort, choosing to ignore this troublesome woman who seemed to delight in aggravating him.

When the elevator stopped at the second floor, he exited first, tilting his head slightly to signal Reiju to follow. As she stepped out, Reiju was immediately struck by the scene before her and halted in her tracks.

Spread out before them was an expansive, grass-covered training ground. Across this open space, numerous individuals were engaged in various training exercises, some in groups, others in pairs or small teams.

But this alone wouldn't have been particularly remarkable. What truly shocked Reiju was the attire—or rather, lack thereof—of many participants.

Surprisingly, most of the women were wearing nothing but bikinis with standard Marine capes draped over their shoulders.

"This... this... this is..." Reiju stammered, her eyes widening. "You people really are perverts! You actually make female Marines train in such revealing outfits? Am I expected to strip down and dress like that too? That's absolutely disgusting!"

Thud!

Sanji lost his balance and fell directly onto the grass, nearly killed by Reiju's outrageous accusation.

Regardless of his current embarrassment, Sanji quickly rolled over and jumped to his feet, shouting angrily:

"No! We don't have any weird dress code like that! These women are different—they're all warriors from Amazon Lily! Do you understand what Amazon Lily is?!"

Sanji felt thoroughly defeated. Although he certainly appreciated the aesthetically pleasing sight of these traditionally dressed female warriors, this wasn't something they had imposed. In fact, Luffy had even tried to convince them to adopt more conventional Marine attire.

"Unfortunately," every such attempt had been firmly rejected by the female warriors themselves, who insisted on maintaining their cultural identity even as they served under Marine command.
