Chapter 117: 117 Demon Axe Eats it’s Owner

"You're also using a demon weapon!"

Esgar felt horrified as he gripped the blood axe in his hand. To his shock, it was actually trembling.

He believed that the only reason he had fought his way to this point and earned the name "Blood slaughter" was because of the blood axe.

That's why he would rather be killed than let go of the weapon.

What shocked Esgar was that the demon axe, which had always driven him to kill, now had a new emotion—fear! This had never happened before.

"One Sword Style: Swift Slash."

Lynch closed the distance and swung his sword effortlessly.

Since he wielded a demon sword, the once colorless strike was now tinted black and purple, radiating a dark, evil aura that made his aura look eerie.

Esgar spun around and swung his axe, sending a flying slash to meet Lynch's attack. But It instantly shattered on impact.

"!"

The slash stretched a hundred meters and closed in on Esgar.

He quickly raised his demon axe to block it.

A sharp "clang" echoed across the sea as the demon axe nearly flew out of Esgar's hand. He spun through the air dozens of times like an acrobat before coming to a stop.

"So strong!"

Esgar looked down at his trembling hands, utterly shocked.

Is this the peak of an Admiral's strength? He had barely managed to block that strike!

"Alright, if you can block my casual strike, I acknowledge your strength."

Esgar wore a bitter expression—he would rather not have this recognition. At that moment, he felt like a clown.

"But how will you handle this one?"

"One Sword Style: Wukong World—Boundless Strike."

"Zheng~"

As the sword was unsheathed, everything around turned white, and time seemed to stop—along with Esgar.

Just as the slash reached him, Esgar suddenly felt a sharp pain in his palm, snapping him back to reality.

"A psychic attack!"

Esgar was horrified as he stared at the attack inches away.

If the Blood Axe hadn't snapped him back to reality, he'd probably be dead already.

No, he's still going to die.

"Pfft~"

The attack was too close to dodge, and Esgar could only shift to avoid a fatal blow.

But he underestimated the force of Lynch's strike. His waist was sliced in half, intestines spilling into the sea as blood sprayed out.

"Ahhh!!!"

Despite the severe injury, Esgar didn't die instantly. He roared to the sky, grabbed his severed lower body with one hand, tucked the demon axe under his arm, and laughed maniacally.

"Haven't you always wanted to eat me? Fine! Eat me now!"

Esgar suddenly twisted his arm, ripped out his heart, and pressed it against the blood axe, leaving a large, dark hole in his chest.

In this moment of life and death, he finally displayed the courage worthy of a great pirate.

As it absorbed its master's heart, the demon axe began to glow with a hazy black light, enveloping Esgar.

When the black light faded, Esgar, who had been severed in half, appeared completely intact.

However, one of his arms was now fused with the demon axe and could never be separated.

Only the whites of his eyes remained visible, suggesting that Esgar had been completely taken over by the demon axe.

"The demon axe eats their master!" Lynch slowly uttered those four words.

According to legend, no one who becomes a host for demon weapons has a good end.

This was the first time he had witnessed such a scene.

Esgar, now occupied by the demon, twisted his neck and stared at Lynch with a mechanical gaze.

No, to be precise, he was staring at the Demon Cutter Sword in his hand.

Suddenly, Esgar fled quickly.

Without the weight of the demon axe, he moved with extremely fast speed.

If no one stopped him, he would be out of sight in just a few breaths.

Lynch got up and chased after him. As he got closer, Esgar suddenly lowered his head and stepped back.

He knew that his only chance to escape was to find the right moment to injure Admiral Sun Candle, and this was the opportunity he had been waiting for.

His earlier feigned escape had been a trap to lure his enemy in closer.

"It's now!"

The demon axe was bloody and possessed a strange ability. Each time it killed someone, it accumulated power until it exploded all at once.

The last time Esgar used this trick was five years ago.

In five years, he had killed more than 10,000 people with his own hands.

A sudden burst of power could seriously injure or even kill an Admiral. This was Esgar's confidence when facing Zephyr.

"Bang!"

A violent explosion erupted around the blood axe, and scarlet brilliance enveloped both of them.

A massive crater formed several kilometers wide on the sea surface from the explosion's impact.

Countless fish were turned to bloody foam under the pressure.

The resulting waves reached heights of hundreds of meters, pushing distant warships further away.

"Mr. Lynch!"

"Admiral!"

Ain and Mark, who had just been rescued, felt their hearts tighten.

Mark, true to his ancient zoan, was still coughing up water and nearly drowned, but all his injuries had healed.

"Calm down, it's Lynch. He'll be fine."

In that critical moment, Zephyr stood tall, becoming the pillar of strength for everyone.

"I believe in him, just as I always believed he would be a great Marine."

Zephyr's old eyes gazed out at the sea. The new seedlings had grown into towering trees, and perhaps his old tree could finally rest in peace.

As the explosion dissipated, Lynch emerged unharmed, a layer of armament haki shimmering around his clothes.

Under Esgar's horrified gaze, Lynch swiftly cut off his head, then chopped off the arm fused with the demon axe.

"A mere 1.3 billion little pirate wants to create more drama for himself."

Lynch brushed the dust off his collar, grab the broken arm with the demon axe, and turned to leave.

It was supposed to be a matter of two seconds, but the other party put a layer of time bomb on himself.

Are the 1.3 billion pirates weak?

Of course not. Even among the Four Emperors, they could hold their own as a front.

However, due to many evil things they did and the countless people they killed, the Marines placed a bounty on them even larger than Katakuri's.

Katakuri had a bounty of one billion, while both Marco and King had bounties of 1.3 billion.

Unfortunately for him, he faced an Admiral in their prime.

Especially the final move, which was so powerful it could likely destroy a small island.

He wasn't sure if Zephyr, now nearly 70 years old, could handle it.

Lynch felt grateful that he had come out with Zephyr this time.

This bounty pirate, known across the sea, was no exaggeration, and they had just happened to cross paths with him.

"Long live Admiral Sun Candle! Long live Admiral Sun Candle!"

"Hahaha, what about bloody slaughter! Nothing can stop our Admiral's casual attack."

"I'm telling you, as long as the Admiral is around, pirates will have to kneel when they see him!"

The Marines on the ship watched from a distance as Esgar was defeated and erupted into loud cheers.
