Chapter 116: 116 Pirates Guerillas, Esgar The Posing King
"Evil pirate, I'll kill you today!" Zephyr declared.
"Buuahahaha, old man, let's see who kills whom!" Esgar replied with a laugh.
Esgar pulled out his giant axe, and his intense murderous aura became substance like conqueror haki, with strands of blood mist swirling around him.
The powerful Armament Haki quietly spread up Zephyr's arm.
Just as the tension was about to erupt, a hand landed on Zephyr's shoulder.
Lynch, having just woken up and removed his blindfold, exposed one eye and grinned at Zephyr. "Teacher Zephyr, you don't need to take the initiative. I'll handle this."
"Admiral Sun Candle!"
On the distant ship, Esgar's pupils suddenly widened in fear as he instinctively considered retreating.
Unlike Zephyr, who was old and frail, this was the current Admiral in his prime!
He is one of the most popular Admirals and, at just 26 years old, is said to already have the strength to stand at the top of the sea.
Esgar didn't think he could defeat him.
When the Admiral was still a colonel, he was already known as a pirate nemesis
Whenever a pirate encounters him, it will not end well.
Even the mighty Four Emperors' Kaido had suffered a loss to him. Pirates across the sea would flee at the sight of him.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Esgar shifted his goal from killing Zephyr to escaping from here.
He was confident that if he wanted to leave, no one could stop him.
"Hey~ Looks like he's recognized me" Lynch said lazily, almost as if channeling Kizaru.
"Huh, just two Admirals? Watch me slaughter you both," Esgar thought.
However, while his thoughts were bold, his actions were different. In front of his subordinates, he couldn't afford to lose his composure; maintaining his reputation as a leader was very important.
"Boss is amazing!"
"Boss, kill those two Admirals quickly!"
"Hahaha, thief, our boss can destroy a warship with a single blow. You're as good as dead!"
The pirates watched Esgar with fanatical admiration.
To them, it was clear that even Admirals didn't intimidate their boss.
Years of brainwashing had led these pirates to blindly worship and trust Esgar.
As is often the case with pirates, their loyalty was unquestioning and unreasonable, with few exhibiting any sense of normalcy—Buggy the King of Luck being a best example.
"What nonsense Admiral Sun candle, it's nothing in front of our boss."
"Come on, boss, beat the s**t out of him!"
"Damn it, am I really going to fight this guy?"
Esgar cursed inwardly, wondering how he could come up with an excuse to escape.
He said, "Hahaha, Admiral? What a joke! Watch me, Esgar, beat him with one hand!"
"I can't leave without losing face, you bastard!"
The Marines were furious at the pirates' arrogance and wondered why Admiral Lynch hadn't taken action yet.
"You guys are too noisy!"
Lynch suddenly turned his head, his eyes glowing red.
The terrifying Conqueror's Haki surged forth, creating visible ripples in the air as it blasted toward the pirates.
"Click—Click!"
The planks of the five large pirate ships cracked under the immense pressure. Esgar's mind felt like it had been struck hard.
Stunned, he quickly recovered and gasped, "What a terrifying Conqueror's Haki! Is this the power of Admiral Sun Candle?"
"Ah!!!"
"Boss, help!"
"This is the power of the devil!"
Seeing their comrades fall like wheat, the remaining pirates panicked.
Soon, they too collapsed, their eyes rolling back as they followed their companions in defeat.
"Boom~"
The shock from the Conqueror's Haki shattered the sails and killed many pirates.
The hull cracked further, with some sections starting to leak.
When Esgar turned around, he was shocked to find that he was the only one left standing in the pirate group of three hundred people.
The remaining three hundred people were wiped out and fell into a coma.
"Conqueror's Haki is this powerful?"
Esgar couldn't believe how such an attack could affect reality itself.
The ship was damaged and started to leak.
It was absurd!
"If you dare hurt my loyal subordinates, I, the Bloody Butcher Esgar, will be your enemy!"
Esgar roared in fury. Just when everyone thought he was about to charge for revenge, he made a feint and quickly turned to run away.
Are you kidding? With his crew gone, why should he care about his reputation?
As long as he survives, he can always start a new pirate crew.
"Bah, how shameless," Ain said, feeling embarrassed by Esgar's behavior.
"Pirates are getting more pathetic these days," Binz remarked, speechless.
Esgar's survival so far showed he was no pushover.
"Sir, let me handle this!" Mark, eager to prove himself, rushed forward.
Lynch watched without intervening, curious to see how Mark, with his Rear Admiral skills and the Ancient Zoan fruit, would perform.
Mark used Moonwalk to approach quickly.
"You little brat, you think you can chase me? You're overestimating yourself!" Esgar sneered.
Esgar quickly counterattacked as Mark approached. With a powerful swing of his axe, he knocked Mark out of his beast form and sent him tumbling into the sea.
"No, go and save people." Zephyr ordered the soldiers to go into the water and rescue those who had fallen.
Lynch frowned slightly at the scene.
Why was he knocked out? Mark thought he could last longer in the fight. Was he too weak, or was Esgar, with a bounty of 1.33 billion, too strong?
It's worth noting that eight years later, when Luffy was called the Fifth Emperor of the Sea, his bounty was only slightly higher.
Luffy's bounty was 1.5 billion.
Although he was considered a Five Emperor, that was eight years later.
Lynch hadn't thought much about it. For him, dealing with a bounty like that would take just one or two sword strikes.
It seems that the big pirate is still a threat that cannot be underestimated to others.
Mark, the young man, was quite brave.
"The Marine can take a beating,"
Esgar thought. He considered delivering another blow, but when he saw Lynch closing in, he felt a chill and started to panic.
Esgar was shocked, never having felt such an overwhelming pressure before. He quickly abandoned the idea of fighting to the death.
"It's your axe that's holding you back. Why not throw it away, even if it's a demon axe?"
Lynch said, calmly walking over like a god to catch up with Esgar.
With each step, Lynch covered dozens of meters.
The aura from Esgar's axe reminded him of the Demon Sword Dragon Slayer and the Demon Cutter.
It was clear that this axe was also a cursed weapon
"Don't worry, I'll let you have it later."
The ghostly face on the Demon Cutter flickered, and a ghostly aura spread into the air.
A ghostly claw extended dozens of meters to grab Esgar, trying to snatch the demon axe.
After reassuring the weapon, Lynch returned to normal.
