Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Conqueror's Haki-Tangled!

"Hahaha, my strength really has declined a lot." Garp laughed heartily, looking at Ace, who still appeared a bit stunned. His fists clenched, though his words were modest, his aura remained powerful and imposing.

"How about it? I can teach you this kind of power—as long as you become a Marine."

Garp's laughter echoed, though his earlier punch wasn't even at full strength. It was enough to demonstrate the sheer might of Conqueror's Haki - Entanglement.

Ace, however, remained silent, walking over to a nearby rock wall.

Suddenly, his eyes flashed with purple-black light.

BOOM!

In an instant, Conqueror's Haki erupted from him. The violent purple-black lightning crackled around Ace, roaring like a storm. But amidst the chaos, Ace felt a newfound control over this power.

He stretched out his right fist, focusing his will.

BZZT!

The purple-black lightning swirled, restrained as if by an invisible force. It coiled tightly around his fist until it was fully concentrated there.

With a powerful thrust, Ace punched forward!

Even from several meters away, the intense energy from Conqueror's Haki reached the towering rock wall.

BOOM!

The force of the punch was so overwhelming that the rock wall, several stories high, crumbled instantly. Massive chunks of stone shattered and collapsed under the violent impact, leaving behind a gaping cavity in the wall.

"So this is Conqueror's Haki - Entanglement,"

Ace mumbled, thoroughly pleased as he gazed at the result of his punch.

Who would have thought this training journey would yield such incredible rewards? Not only had he gained the power of the Mera-Mera Fruit, but now he had also mastered Conqueror's Haki - Entanglement, one of the most feared and revered powers in the pirate world.

Meanwhile, Garp was utterly speechless. His jaw practically hit the ground as he stared at the scene before him in disbelief. For several moments, he was frozen, unable to comprehend what had just happened. His thoughts had come to a complete standstill.

Finally, Garp rubbed his eyes hard with both hands, trying to process what he had seen.

But even after his eyes turned red, the reality of the situation remained unchanged.

Is this real?

Garp's mind was in turmoil. Ace... is using Conqueror's Haki - Entanglement?!

Garp's pupils widened in sheer shock.

Not even the legendary Rocks D. Xebec, the pirate who had earned Garp the title of Marine Hero, had shocked him like this.

This was Conqueror's Haki!

The rare and extraordinary ability said to mark those with the qualities of a king. Anyone capable of awakening Conqueror's Haki was destined to stand out in the sea, to possess a reputation that shook the world.

For pirates, it was a trait that made them a threat even to the World Government. For Marines, it marked them as prime candidates for the highest ranks, often being groomed to one day become Admirals.

And the Entanglement of Conqueror's Haki? That was where the true terror of Conqueror's Haki lay.

To awaken Conqueror's Haki was to possess the potential of a king. But to master it? That was the mark of a true ruler.

It was this mastery that allowed figures like the former Rocks D. Xebec and the Pirate King Gol D. Roger to reign over the seas. The same power that made Whitebeard, Edward Newgate, the strongest man in the world. Or the legendary Dark King, Silvers Rayleigh, the right hand of the Pirate King.

These were individuals who could stand against the might of the entire Marine force. They had battled countless life-and-death encounters before they mastered Conqueror's Haki - Entanglement.

Yet now... Ace had witnessed Garp's demonstration just once and instantly grasped the power?

No way! That's impossible!

Even Garp found it difficult to believe. This defied everything he knew, everything he had learned. This wasn't just talent—it was monstrous.

Conqueror's Haki - Entanglement was a skill so rare that even among those who possessed the king's potential—one in a million—only a few could ever hope to master it.

And why was it so difficult? Because unlike Armament Haki or Observation Haki, Conqueror's Haki wasn't a tangible power. It was willpower, an intangible force that could only be "touched" once a person reached an extreme level of strength.

Even the rare few who awakened Conqueror's Haki couldn't simply train it—it grew gradually, through experiences of life and death, through pushing one's limits.

Only when someone's Conqueror's Haki became incredibly powerful could they begin to entangle it with their attacks.

That's why, once someone mastered Conqueror's Haki, they could rise to become one of the emperors of the sea. Even reaching the point where they could "touch" Conqueror's Haki already marked them as exceptionally powerful.

But what about Ace? His Conqueror's Haki hadn't even reached that threshold yet, not even close. And yet, here he was, wrapping it around his fist as though it were second nature.

This defied all logic. It was beyond anything Garp had ever seen!

While Garp stood there in shock, Ace paid him no mind. Instead, he focused on testing another ability he had just learned…
