One Piece - Heaven Defying Comprehension!

Chapter 14:  Chapter 14: Garp Who Doubts Life!

"Ring of Flame:Red Hole —Your heaven-defying understanding is derived from observing Garp's technique: Blue Hole."

"The perfect combination of Conqueror's Haki-Tangle and the Mera-Mera Fruit, with one punch, unleashes an endless rain of fire!"

As Ace read the text description in his mind, his eyes gleamed.

The perfect combination of Conqueror's Haki-Tangle and the Mera-Mera Fruit?

It was truly an unexpected and incredible skill.

The Ring of Fire—Red Hole was a technique born from the seamless fusion of two of the most powerful forces Ace now possessed: the Mera-Mera Fruit and Conqueror's Haki-Tangle. Even for the strongest fighters on the sea, using Conqueror's Haki as an attack was no small feat—only a select few could manage it.

But to perfectly combine Conqueror's Haki with a Logia-type Devil Fruit? That was a whole other level.

The difficulty of wrapping Conqueror's Haki around something intangible like elemental powers far exceeded the difficulty of using it on a physical weapon or fist. And naturally, the resulting power was on a whole different scale.

This ability was second only to his Flame Sword Burial, and as his Conqueror's Haki grew stronger, there was virtually no upper limit to the power of this Ring of Fire—Red Hole. It had the potential to far surpass the original capabilities of the Mera-Mera Fruit itself.

Ace was more than satisfied with the results. He had now secured his path to becoming the strongest on the sea.

"Hey, Ace... Do you... Do you really understand this kind of power?"

Garp stammered as he approached Ace, still in disbelief.

Ace didn't respond immediately. Instead, he casually wrapped Conqueror's Haki around his pinky finger and began picking at his ear.

Yep, even ear-picking works better with Conqueror's Haki, he thought to himself.

"..."

Garp's mouth hung open, completely at a loss for words.

What am I witnessing?! Ace, this brat, was using Conqueror's Haki—the rare power that countless strong men dream of mastering—to clean out his ears? Garp's breath quickened, and all he could do in the end was let out a bitter laugh.

Regardless of the absurdity, the reality was clear in front of him: Ace had indeed mastered Conqueror's Haki-Tangle. Not only that, but he had gained such refined control over it that he could even use it in trivial tasks—better than Garp himself could.

After all, Garp couldn't delicately control his own Conqueror's Haki to, say, pick his ears. Ace's mastery of the power was astounding. Garp couldn't see where Ace's future would lead, but one thing was certain: Ace's potential far exceeded his own.

No! Ace must become a Marine!

Garp's thoughts solidified.

"Ace! You've seen the power I showed you. So, what do you think? Join me, become a Marine, and we'll take the world by storm!"

Garp smiled, hopeful.

"Old man, you said you'd teach me this power once I became a Marine, right?" Ace asked, his finger still wrapped in Haki. He gestured toward his hand, where Conqueror's Haki crackled around it.

Garp nodded.

"And now I already know it, right?" Ace asked again.

Garp nodded once more.

"Then... why should I become a Marine now?" Ace asked, his voice innocent but pointed.

Garp nodded again, but then suddenly froze as the realization hit him.

Wait... What the hell?!

His face contorted with pain as he clutched his chest, feeling a sharp stab of regret.

Why did I show Ace the power of Conqueror's Haki-Tangle? he asked himself in anguish.

There had been reasons beyond simply trying to convince Ace to follow the right path. For one, Garp wanted Ace to realize the vastness of the world. Ace's journey so far had been smooth, and his talent was extraordinary, but the sea was vast, and even legends like Roger and Garp himself had faced defeats.

By showing Ace this power, Garp hoped to teach him early on just how massive and dangerous the world could be. But most importantly, Conqueror's Haki wasn't something one could easily master. Even for someone as talented as Ace, Garp had assumed it would take time—long enough for him to guide Ace into the Marine ranks.

But who could have predicted that Ace was a complete monster? After watching Garp demonstrate it just once, Ace had fully mastered the most powerful force on the sea.

Things had spiraled far beyond Garp's expectations.

"Well then, I guess I'll still become a pirate after all!" Ace declared, noticing the troubled look on Garp's face. He figured he should give the old man a break. After all, Garp didn't get much vacation time, so he needed to make the most of it.

"What the hell, Ace?!" Garp erupted in a panic.

If Ace, with such overwhelming talent, became a pirate, he'd be even more terrifying than his father! This couldn't be allowed!

Garp's body tensed as he unleashed Conqueror's Haki, charging toward Ace.

A new round of special training had begun.
