Chapter 29: Look Into My Eyes
"Pant... pant..."
"This one was really tough to deal with."
In the room, Nami gasped for breath, her face showing the joy of finally defeating an enemy.
After taking the key from Kalifa's body, Nami glanced worriedly at the wall Chopper had just smashed and said, "I hope that guy's okay."
"Nami?"
"Ah, it's you guys."
Hearing the voice, Nami turned to the doorway and saw Meiser and the others.
"You defeated a CP9 agent..."
"I am a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, after all," Nami said with a laugh. "Beating her was only natural."
"Here, try this key."
She tossed the key she had just taken from Kalifa to Meiser. "See if it works."
Without wasting time, Meiser immediately tried the key.

A pleasant sound rang out—the Sea-stone Handcuffs that had restrained Nico Robin for so long were finally unlocked!
"The key was the right one after all!"
"Amazing!" Nami exclaimed in delight.
Nico Robin looked at her hands—the feeling of weakness had finally vanished!
"How does freedom feel?" Meiser asked with a smile.
"Good. Really good."
"Thank you..."
"Save the formalities," Meiser said. "The fight isn't over yet."
"Oh, right!"
Now that Robin was free, Nami immediately remembered Chopper, her expression turning anxious. "Quick, we need to go upstairs and find Chopper!"
"Chopper?"
"What happened to him?"
"I don't know exactly, but he suddenly grew enormous and didn't seem to recognize me," Nami explained. "From the way he was acting... he seemed to be in pain. Something felt really wrong."
Though she didn't know what had caused Chopper's transformation, Nami felt it was best to let Meiser check on him as soon as possible.
Just then, another roar echoed through the building, as if some terrifying beast were upstairs.
"ROAR!!"
"So that roar wasn't from a CP9 agent... but from Chopper?" Nico Robin's eyes filled with concern. "Is he alright?"
Robin sensed something agonized in the roar.
"Then let's go find him right away," Meiser said.
Celebrating Robin's freedom could wait until after the battle—right now, they had to deal with the immediate problem.
"Robin, I assume you're ready to fight?"
"Of course!"
"Then let's move."
Without another word, Meiser led the group upstairs.
When they reached the upper floor, they heard intermittent explosions coming from one of the rooms—clearly, something inside was wreaking havoc.
Reaching the broken wall, Meiser saw the massive beast launching attacks!
"ROAR!!"
"Hey, Chopper, it's me!!" Sanji dodged while shouting. "Don't you recognize me?!"
"Chopper, it's Zoro!"
"And me, Sogeking!"
But Chopper didn't respond—he just kept swinging his fists relentlessly.
"Dammit, what the hell is going on?"
Zoro watched with a grim expression as Chopper relentlessly pursued Sanji, all while keeping an eye on the two CP9 agents, wary of them attacking their own crewmates.
"Is this... Chopper?" Meiser stepped in through the breach, eyeing Chopper suspiciously. "How did this kid get so big?"
"Meiser!" x3
All three looked at Meiser with delight. If this man was here, then Chopper's problem might just be solved!
"Leave it to me," Meiser said.
"Hmm?"
Jabra noticed Meiser, and also spotted... Blueno, who was being carried by Franky!
"So Blueno's been taken out."
"Blueno..."
Kaku frowned as well. This meant they'd have to rely on themselves if they wanted to retreat.
"Not just that, look at that woman," Jabra said darkly, glaring at Nico Robin. "The Sea-stone Handcuffs on her have been unlocked."
Did this mean all their comrades downstairs had been defeated?
"Really not good news."
Kaku's expression darkened too—he actually cared about his comrades as well.
"Let's just kill them all," Jabra sneered.
"As much as I dislike you, I actually agree with you for once."
"Hey, ninja!" Jabra called out to Meiser. "We'll be your opponents!"
Unfortunately, Meiser ignored him, walking straight toward Chopper.
"Bastard, how dare you look down on us!"
"Shave!"
Jabra and Kaku both activated Shave simultaneously, appearing on either side of Meiser in the blink of an eye. Their massive bodies bore down on him with terrifying pressure!
"Nose Gun!!"
"Iron Body: Wolf Fang!"
But as they moved, two figures rushed in from the side, intercepting them before their attacks could land.
"Don't get in Meiser's way!!"
"Three-Sword Style: Two-Strong Slash!"
"Premium Sirloin!"
"Clang!"
"Bam!"
A slash and a kick sent the two hulking figures flying.
"Whoosh—"
"BOOM!!"
They smashed straight through a distant boulder!
Throughout all this, Meiser didn't spare them a single glance, his focus entirely on the heavily panting Chopper.
"Hey, Chopper!" Meiser looked up at him. "What's going on with you?"
Chopper didn't answer, only slowly raising his massive hand—clearly intending to crush Meiser where he stood.
"Guess I'll have to put you to sleep first." Meiser opened his Sharingan. "Look into my eyes!"
"Hum—"
The enormous hand descended at frightening speed... but then abruptly stopped.
Seeing Chopper's rage subside, Meiser muttered, "Lost all reason, leaving only bestial instincts... which actually makes him easier to control with the Sharingan."
Under Meiser's command, Chopper's massive body trembled before gradually shrinking back to his usual tiny form.
Gazing at the peacefully sleeping reindeer on the ground, Meiser sighed. "Looks like you've been through hell."
His body was covered in wounds, clear evidence of a brutal fight.
After picking Chopper up, Meiser used Medical Ninja Technique to treat his injuries, stopping only once Chopper's breathing steadied.
"What the hell was up with that guy?"
Jabra eyed Meiser and the Chopper in his arms with confusion, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Why had the monster calmed down the moment this Ninja arrived?
Why had that Zoan user shrunk back to his small form?
Sanji first sighed in relief, then retorted, "None of your damn business."
"You bastard, I'll kill you first!"
Enraged, Jabra immediately clashed with Sanji again.
Meanwhile, Kaku remained composed, refraining from further attacks as he assessed the situation.
"What's wrong? Realized the tables have turned?" Zoro grinned.
He had already noticed Nico Robin was free again—meaning most of the other Cipher Pol 9 members had likely been defeated. They'd achieved a crucial victory!
"Giraffe old man, the hunter has become the hunted!"
