Chapter 506: The War Begins (Part 2)

"That's... That's the Demon Dragon Caesar!"

Numerous Marine soldiers cried out in shock upon seeing the thousand-meter-long dragon in the sky.

"Hmph, just a single pirate."

Hearing the cries of alarm from the surrounding soldiers, Akainu Sakazuki stepped forward.

"Vice Admiral Akainu!"

All the Marines fell silent when they saw it was Akainu who had spoken.

Akainu stood at the ship's prow, looking up at Caesar in the sky with his arms crossed.

Caesar floated a thousand meters in the air, looking down at Akainu. The two locked eyes.

Suddenly, a grin appeared on Caesar's dragon face.

"Sakazuki, an old rival. Let me see if you've improved over the years!"

Caesar suddenly opened his massive maw. A giant fireball gathered within his dragon's mouth.

"Heat Breath!"

A powerful flame immediately shot out from Caesar's mouth, hurtling towards Sakazuki on the ship's prow.

"You overestimate yourself!"

Sakazuki lowered his arms, his right arm turning to magma as he watched the flame rocket towards him from the sky.

"Dark Hound!"

An equally massive pillar of magma shot up towards the rapidly approaching flame. Its powerful explosive force instantly pierced through the pillar of fire, continuing to surge towards Caesar and swallowing his attack whole.

"Yours is just ordinary fire, while I am magma that can burn even fire itself. Your flames and mine are on completely different levels," Sakazuki said, looking up at Caesar.

Caesar's dragon form floated indifferently in the sky. After glancing at Sakazuki, he turned and flew back towards the island.

Not far away, Kong observed the aftermath of their brief exchange.

"Attack!" Kong shouted into the communicator.

All the warships began to approach the island in unison.

Kuzan stepped forward. Looking at the island, which was now within arm's reach, he instantly leaped out and jumped into the sea.

The surface of the sea froze in an instant, forming a layer of ice that encircled the port.

Upon seeing the ice, all the Marines jumped down from their ships.

"Kill them! Kill the pirates, for justice!" all the officers shouted, raising their weapons towards the island.

"Charge!"

"Kill!"

The battle cries were deafening.

On the island, Esdeath drew the Holy Sword: Judgment from her waist and pointed it at the Marines.

"Kill!" a cold, emotionless shout rang out.

The next moment, the giant cannons installed on the island let out their own roars.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The cannons roared continuously, and one shell after another crashed down among the Marines. In an instant, a whole section of the first wave of attacking Marines was wiped out.

"Ooh~, how ferocious. The Rockefeller Pirates are truly terrifying!"

A yellow shadow of light suddenly appeared in the sky above the battlefield.

Borsalino waved his arms.

"Yasakani no Magatama!"

With a wave of his hands, countless points of light shot towards the port's defenses like cannonballs.

"Extreme Lightning Chidori!"

A blue arc of light suddenly appeared, and the next moment, a gentle voice was heard.

Upon encountering the endless blue electrical arcs, Borsalino's light projectiles all exploded in the sky.

Borsalino's lips curved up as he looked towards the side of the mountain slope.

Looking at the glasses-wearing Tesla standing on the slope, Borsalino's brow furrowed in thought.

The crisp sound of a sword being drawn rang out.

"Ice Storm!"

A sword slash filled with murderous intent shot towards him.

Borsalino's heart skipped a beat.

"Ice Time Capsule!" a cold voice sounded.

Kuzan walked onto the port and stretched out a hand. The incoming sword slash froze in mid-air and then fell to the ground.

"A Great Swordsman!" Kuzan said grimly, looking at Esdeath's youthful face.

"Hmph!"

Esdeath pointed her longsword down. Seeing her attack blocked, she looked at Kuzan. The two stared at each other for a long moment.

"Hmph, what are you all standing around for? Attack! The Fleet Admiral is watching from behind!" Sakazuki said as he walked over, magma flowing slowly over his body.

As Sakazuki approached, Caesar also landed next to Esdeath, holding his blade.

Kuzan glanced at Sakazuki but said nothing.

Sakazuki clearly had no intention of stopping. He immediately singled out Caesar.

"Inugami Guren!"

A lava-transformed arm turned into a dog's head and attacked Caesar.

"Hmph!"

Caesar immediately entered his half-beast form and swung his blade down without hesitation. The Armament Haki-coated slash landed squarely on Sakazuki's fist. The immense force caused Sakazuki to slide back a step.

Seeing Sakazuki make his move, Kuzan knew he couldn't just stand by. He immediately looked at Esdeath, and an ice blade appeared in his hand.

"Although I don't like fighting women, you are a pirate."

As Kuzan finished speaking, his expression changed in an instant. A sharp gaze fixed on Esdeath, and he moved his feet. Using the Shave technique from the Six Powers, he burst forward, rushing towards Esdeath.

Esdeath's eyes narrowed, and she raised her sword to meet him.

The clash of the longsword and the ice blade actually created sparks. The two retreated upon contact and then charged forward again.

The fight between Kuzan and Esdeath was so fast that their figures became blurs. One could only hear the constant clang, clang of metal on metal ringing out, along with the sword slashes continuously unleashed by Esdeath.

Two of the three "Monster" Vice Admirals were already fighting.

Borsalino, who had been standing to the side, knew he couldn't keep slacking off. He looked around.

Tesla walked forward.

"Ooh, ooh, ooh~! Young man, are you my opponent?" Borsalino asked, pointing a finger at Tesla.

"Perhaps we can just leave each other alone," Tesla said, holding out his hands in a shrugging gesture.

"Ooh~, your thinking is a bit malicious, young man. I am a Marine Vice Admiral, how could I possibly ignore a pirate? If the Fleet Admiral saw that, my salary would probably be gone," Borsalino said with a mock-frightened look.

Tesla rolled his eyes.

"Then I guess we have to fight!"

As soon as Tesla's words fell, Borsalino vanished in an instant.

"Young man, have you ever been kicked by light?"

The next moment, Borsalino appeared above Tesla's head, bringing a leg down towards his skull, his voice teasing.

But Tesla just shook his head slightly. The next moment, his body dissolved into lightning. Just as Borsalino's foot was about to land, he vanished from the spot and reappeared above Borsalino.

"Old man, have you ever been kicked by electricity?"
