Chapter 192: Talented People (Part 1)

"Not stingy. Dares to swing his sword against the strong. Fair!"

Shiki listened to these three praises, each one loftier than the last.

His mouth twitched in frustration.

Not stingy? Damn it! He had known Charlotte for seven years, and the man had never invited him for a single drink. Shiki was always the one treating him.

Dares to swing his sword against the strong? They clearly hadn't seen how Charlotte behaved around Rocks.

Shiki still couldn't forget how, when Rocks threatened Charlotte, he surrendered immediately.

Fairness? Was there even such a thing in this world?

Hearing these people praise Charlotte like some saint, Shiki curled his lips while smoking his cigar.

He finally understood why so many swordsmen had flocked to Charlotte's side.

The man was a master of public image—so much so that the whole world now believed him to be a noble and honorable person.

"Bah! Nonsense!"

Shiki felt stifled and aggrieved. In a flash, he soared into the sky and disappeared.

Leaving behind the few dumbfounded swordsmen.

"What are you all standing around for? Let's go!"

One of the swordsmen snapped back to reality and pulled his companions along.

Then, they hurriedly sailed away from the area.

Shiki's Frustration Grows

Half a month later, Shiki's frustrations had reached Charlotte's ears.

Looking at three survivors who had barely escaped from Shiki's hands, Charlotte smirked.

"Welcome to the Rockefeller Pirates."

After confirming that they weren't spies sent by the World Government or other forces, Charlotte accepted them.

In the past six months, more than two hundred swordsmen had joined Charlotte's ranks.

Among them, one was at the level of a true swordsman—a rare talent.

He was nearly sixty years old, older than Charlotte by almost forty years.

After realizing he would never break through to the level of Great Swordsman, he decided to at least experience the power of one.

He held out until the end of the month and fought Charlotte.

As expected, Charlotte defeated him easily.

Yet, rather than feeling discouraged, the old swordsman felt satisfied.

Then, he asked to stay.

Being nearly sixty years old, Charlotte couldn't send him out to sea like the younger recruits.

Instead, he appointed him as a mentor—tasked with training new swordsmen and helping them reach the level of true swordsmen as quickly as possible.

The old swordsman accepted the role without hesitation.

"Thank you, Captain, for your understanding. I am deeply grateful and will devote my energy to training the next generation of swordsmen."

The elder swordsman, Stanley Acheson, bowed respectfully to Charlotte.

Charlotte quickly helped him up.

Stanley Acheson was now the only true swordsman in Charlotte's crew—his strongest fighter aside from Charlotte himself.

Although old, he was still powerful.

Charlotte's Headache: Paul and Isaac

Speaking of swordsmen, Charlotte had one major headache.

Paul and Isaac.

These two swordsmen had been following him for four or five years.

And yet, they were still stuck in the swordsman realm.

Why?

Charlotte started doubting his own teaching abilities.

How could a Great Swordsman struggle to train two men into true swordsmen?

Was he a bad teacher?

Or were they simply untalented?

Now that Stanley Acheson had joined, the other swordsmen became even more excited.

Especially since Charlotte allowed them to ask questions about sword techniques or anything they didn't understand.

This thrilled the swordsmen.

Although they hoped for direct guidance from Charlotte himself, they knew that was unrealistic.

As captain of a large pirate crew, Charlotte had responsibilities.

He couldn't spend all his time training every single swordsman.

They understood this.

The Growth of the Rockefeller Pirates

With the addition of over two hundred swordsmen, the Rockefeller Pirates expanded significantly.

This also led to a restructuring of leadership.

The New Division Captains:

Rodney Carter was proficient in two-color Haki and the Navy's Six Styles. He had the strength of a vice admiral and commanded a fleet of 100 pirates with two ships, focusing on plundering.

Bunier Ralph, with similar strength, was stationed on Kami Island, responsible for security and guarding prisoners.

Paul Bunyan, despite his talents in swordsmanship, had only reached the strength of a major general. His division consisted of 100 swordsmen who frequently engaged in naval battles.

Isaac Marlowe had comparable strength to Paul and led a similar division, often sailing out for raids.

Charlotte allowed these captains to operate freely, carrying his name across the seas.

At the same time, his Headquarters Team remained small.

---

The Headquarters Team:

Caesar Courant had made impressive progress, now overseeing all scientific research, while Vinsmoke Judge focused on shipbuilding.

Monica Harrington, head of the maids, possessed a Devil Fruit ability but focused more on managing Charlotte's personal attendants.

The maid corps had nearly 300 members, all trained attendants. They were led by three deputy leaders: Amy Powell, Karina Gary, and Wendy Mom.

These three hundred maids exclusively served Charlotte and his family.

Since they had little time for combat training, Charlotte didn't force them.

Their main duty was to maintain order within his household.

With this new structure, the Rockefeller Pirates were finally shaping into a true force.
