Chapter 94: [94] Locked Down to Death!
Hahaha…
"Heeheeheeheehee… Godslayer Sora, hand over Absalom!"
The moment Sora appeared, Moria already suspected Absalom had failed.
Though Absalom wasn't particularly strong, he was still one of Gecko Moria's men—and Moria wasn't going to let that slide.
"He's already dead," Sora replied flatly, glancing around.
Strangely, there was no sign of Perona.
Given how cautious Moria clearly was, it didn't make sense that he hadn't deployed the Ghost Princess. Which meant… she was hiding, waiting to strike.
A sudden realization flashed in Sora's mind.
That's definitely it.
Perona was a notorious wild card—nearly wiped out the Straw Hats in the original story with her absurdly broken powers.
If no one knew about her beforehand, they'd be easy prey.
With her Negative Ghosts for sneak attacks and Moria's Warlord-level strength, even elite enemies could be caught off guard.
Only someone like Kaido, whose mastery of Haki let him resist Devil Fruit powers, could walk away unscathed.
But where's her body?
Sora furrowed his brow and studied Moria carefully.
"You killed Absalom!?"
Enraged by the confirmation, Moria launched an attack.
Shadow Spear!
His shadow transformed into a dark lance and thrust toward Sora.
Clang!
Reiju, clad in her battle suit, intercepted the attack with crossed arms coated in Armament Haki.
She dashed forward and charged straight at Moria's towering form, engaging him in close-quarters combat.
"Damn it—she knows Haki?!"
"And… is that Seastone on your hands and feet!?"
Moria grimaced. He hadn't expected such a powerful ally at Sora's side.
"These were made just for Devil Fruit users like you," Reiju smirked as she spun, delivering a kick that was blocked by Moria's shadow clone.
She had already been briefed by Sora on Moria's abilities—none of this surprised her.
"Take them down!" Moria roared, ordering his zombie generals to attack. He needed to buy time—for Perona to strike.
"Nami!" Nojiko shouted as she leapt into the air.
"On it!"
Nami faced the oncoming wave of zombie soldiers. Her arms crossed, and lightning crackled around her.
Ten Million Volt: Thunderfield!
A massive field of electricity burst from her position, paralyzing all the charging zombies.
Even Moria himself was stunned by the discharge.
Only Ryuma, the undead swordsman, managed to leap into the air and dodge.
Yomitsu Song: True Thrust!
Ryuma thrust his black blade, Shusui, toward Reiju, just as she was about to cuff Moria with Seastone. She was knocked back, but not before unleashing a pink toxic mist that settled over Moria's head.
Meanwhile, Nojiko dropped dozens of coins and over a dozen Little Chili Bombs onto the area below Ryuma and the paralyzed zombie generals before moving to shield Nami.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
Explosions thundered through the hall—limbs flew, the undead torn apart by the barrage.
Though some of their remains twitched, they were in no condition to fight.
Moria's zombie army—obliterated.
"Not bad at all," Sora nodded with approval from his place.
Now, only Moria and Perona remained.
As for Ryuma, he lacked Moonwalk and was caught in the blast upon landing. Only his famed sword, Shusui, remained on the ground.
But Perona still hadn't shown up, which bothered Sora.
He had been scanning the castle using the Flower-Flower Fruit, yet he couldn't find her.
Something was wrong.
"You'll pay for this!" Moria growled, finally regaining his mobility.
But just as he moved, a green hue flickered across his face, and his limbs suddenly weakened.
Poison?
He looked at his hands, remembering the pink powder Reiju had released earlier.
It wasn't lethal—but it was enough to sap his strength for a few seconds.
Thunder Strike!
Nami didn't wait. She hit him again with another powerful lightning blast.
Sora's rule: "Strike when they're down."
"You—!!"
Moria convulsed violently under the electric surge.
Little Chili!
Seizing the moment, Nojiko tossed a bean-sized explosive right next to his ear.
BOOM!
Smoke erupted from Moria's head. The shockwave left him dazed, ears ringing, vision spinning. His massive body swayed unsteadily.
Poison paralysis!
Reiju, back in action, flicked a poisoned dart that embedded itself in Moria's knee.
Then, from her backpack, she drew a pure Seastone chain and wrapped it around Moria's neck.
Just like that, it was over.
"Damn… locked down to death," Sora muttered, watching with an amused look.
"Tragic."
A Warlord of the Sea, defeated completely by three women using pure control and teamwork.
With Nami's Logia-based Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Nojiko's Paramecia explosive abilities, and Reiju's Seastone weaponry, poison, and dual Haki—Moria stood no chance.
But… where the hell was Perona?
Moria was practically dying—and she still hadn't appeared?
Sora stared at the unconscious Moria, now smoke drifting from his ears thanks to Nojiko's Big Chili Bomb.
He hadn't intervened, not just to let the three women sharpen their combat skills—but to be ready in case Perona attacked with her ghosts.
But Moria was seconds from death, and still… no Perona?
Did she run?
Sora recalled how she fled in the original timeline. It was a possibility.
But when he called Mikita, who was stationed on the ship, she confirmed that no one had tried to escape.
That made no sense.
"Sora, come take a look!"
Reiju's voice called out.
Sora turned and watched as she pushed aside Moria's unconscious body and pulled out a girl—eyes rolled back, body smoking—stuffed behind his cloak.
It was the Ghost Princess he'd been searching for—
Perona!
