"The walls that once blocked us are gone!"

"It seems this is your era now!"

Golden Lion Shiki's emotionless gaze fell upon the tall figure seated before him. There was no trace of a smile on his face.

Having been defeated by Arashi and imprisoned in Impel Down, Shiki escaped, only to find the world around him had changed drastically—a place that now felt alien.

His once-mighty fleet had been obliterated in relentless Marine pursuits, leaving only ashes. The ambitions that once fueled him now seemed like a bitter joke.

As one of the legendary trio, Shiki had been reduced to a shadow of his former self.

His name, once revered, now bore the eternal stain of defeat, a stepping stone for the young Arashi to ascend.

At this moment, Shiki's eyes burned with rage, his heart consumed by the flames of vengeance.

"I could sink you into the depths of the sea right now, Golden Lion," Whitebeard remarked coldly, barely glancing at Shiki.

He tossed a bottle of sake toward him. Shiki caught the bottle effortlessly, flicked its cap off, and took several long swigs. Only after exhaling a deep breath did he speak.

"Hah! You really know how to push my buttons," Shiki sneered.

"State your purpose, or get lost," Whitebeard said with an air of disinterest. "I have no patience for idle chatter."

"Whitebeard!" Shiki shouted after a deep breath. "Let's join forces!"

"Together, we can take down that Arashi and dominate this world!"

"I can help you become the Pirate King!"

The sudden proposal left everyone aboard the Moby Dick stunned. Marco, in particular, couldn't help but look toward their captain.

Shiki's words were nothing short of shocking, especially coming from a man as prideful as him.

This was the same Shiki who had once charged into Marineford alone for Roger's sake.

The ship fell silent, its crew frozen in shock. Yet Whitebeard remained calm, continuing to drink his sake as if nothing had happened.

After draining an entire bottle, he suddenly flung it with great force.

Whizz!

The glass bottle shot toward Shiki and shattered against his forehead, sending shards flying in all directions.

Shiki didn't flinch, his gaze locked firmly on Whitebeard, waiting for his response.

"Gurararara!" A loud laugh erupted from Whitebeard.

An oppressive aura swept across the Moby Dick, shaking the surrounding seas.

"Shiki!" Whitebeard's voice turned cold. "You underestimate me!"

"Join forces? Whether it was the Flying Admiral of the past, with your vast fleet, or the crippled man you've become after being crushed by that brat Arashi—you're not worthy!"

"Get out of my sight!" Whitebeard bellowed. "Or I'll erase you from this world right now!"

Shiki's expression remained unchanged despite the blatant insult. Slowly, he rose into the air.

"How disappointing," he muttered. "A legend who once stood as my equal has fallen so far, scared off by a mere youngster!"

Whitebeard's words hit like a hammer. Shiki's body trembled, his teeth clenched in anger. Spinning around abruptly, he glared at Whitebeard.

"Whitebeard, your arrogance will be your downfall!"

"Even Roger never underestimated Arashi!" Shiki roared.

"Gurararara!" Whitebeard laughed again. "If the chance arises, I'll see for myself how strong that kid is."

"But you? I know exactly what you are."

Whitebeard's eyes gleamed with mockery.

"You have ambitions to rule the world, but no strength to back them up."

"You relied on your flying fleet like a coward. True beasts walk alone, Shiki. The weak flock together like sheep!"

Shiki clenched his fists tightly, his anger boiling over.

"Even without you, I'll take care of that brat myself!" he declared before turning and flying off.

Whitebeard scoffed. "I'll be waiting for your 'good news,' then."

The two legends parted ways, never to meet again.

Once Shiki had left, Marco approached Whitebeard hesitantly.

"Father, even someone as strong as Shiki was defeated by Arashi. If you ever face him, do you think you'd win?"

Whitebeard's eyes narrowed as he considered the question. After a moment, he grinned.

"Roger spoke highly of that brat," he admitted.

"But I never worry about opponents I haven't faced."

"If we ever cross paths..." His eyes glinted with battle-hardened resolve.

"Then we'll see who truly deserves to be called the strongest man in this world."

Marco understood. Whitebeard was saying the truth of power would only reveal itself in battle.

"Shiki…" Marco muttered. "One of the legendary trio has already fallen."

Whitebeard snorted. "Power isn't just about being unbeatable," he said.

"It's about having an unyielding heart, one that doesn't waver in the face of anything."

To Whitebeard, Shiki was already a defeated man. His heart, crushed by failure, had made him unworthy of being called a legend, let alone an equal.

"Everyone is talking about Arashi!" Whitebeard remarked with a hint of curiosity after a moment of reflection.

"I can't help but wonder, just what kind of power you truly possess!"

In the West Blue.

A month had swiftly passed. Finally, Arashi was greeted by the sight of the ship he had been envisioning for so long.

Or rather, "ark" might be a more fitting term. As it glided out from the Toroa port, the vessel's sleek design resembled a whale of the sea, an artistic marvel.

Its bow, paddles, stern, and the massive propellers on either side painted a picture of advanced engineering.

"It features a dual propulsion system, combining wind and electricity," said Capone Bege, clearly impressed.

"It can sail the seas and even take to the skies. Honestly, it's a masterpiece. Where in the world did you even get the blueprints for this?"

When Bege had first seen the blueprints, he hadn't thought much of them.

But now, witnessing the ship in its full glory, he was utterly awestruck. In an era like this, a ship capable of flight was revolutionary.

After all, wasn't the Flying Pirates' fame largely built on such a concept?

"One ship isn't enough," Arashi remarked thoughtfully. "We'll need at least ten."

Now that he saw the ship with his own eyes, he realized its size wouldn't be sufficient to carry all the gold from Skypiea.

Even with ten of these ships, they might have to make multiple trips.

"The shipyard is working overtime," Bege responded enthusiastically.

"In less than a month, we should have ten of these flying ships ready, along with a 500-strong sky fleet!"

The excitement in his voice was palpable. Bege could barely contain himself at the thought of commanding such a fleet.

Flying through the skies—a dream for so many. Arashi gave a slight smile, his figure flickering as he suddenly appeared on the deck of the ark.

Placing his hand on the metallic control panel of the ship, Arashi unleashed a surge of electricity.

"Crackle!"

Electric arcs danced across the ship's surface. In a moment, the sound of whirring filled the air.

"Whirrr!"

Within seconds, the propellers began spinning faster and faster. Five more seconds and the ark lifted off from the water, ascending gracefully into the sky.

Arashi tested the helm, adjusting the propellers' angles to fine-tune the vessel's direction.

The ship's responsiveness and ease of control were undeniable, a testament to Vegapunk's unparalleled genius.

"Scientists truly do change the world," Arashi mused, admiration evident in his tone.

"It's hard to imagine what kind of breakthroughs Vegapunk might achieve with his bloodline factor research."

"In the original timeline, didn't he create clones of himself at some point?"

Suddenly, his expression shifted as a troubling thought crossed his mind. "Wait… could he use me as a template and make a clone someday?"

The mere idea unsettled him. A clone that looked just like him but obeyed Vegapunk's every command? The thought was too bizarre to entertain.

"No way. I need to warn him about this," Arashi decided, shaking his head.

After taking the ark for a spin around Troia Island to familiarize himself with its capabilities, Arashi brought it back to the shipyard.

"Impressive!" he commented. "Produce as many of these arks as possible. I'll create a thundercloud over the shipyard to provide a continuous power source."

With a flash of lightning, Arashi appeared next to Bege, visibly satisfied. Bege nodded enthusiastically. "Understood!"

Without hesitation, Arashi raised his hand toward the sky.

"Boom!"

A massive thundercloud, spanning nearly 300 meters, quickly formed above the shipyard, hovering roughly the same distance from the ground.

Lightning danced across its surface, casting an awe-inspiring glow.

"Run a metal conduit into the cloud to charge the ships," Arashi explained. Bege nodded, committing the process to memory, though his thoughts were racing.

"Forget conquering the seas," Bege thought. "I want to rule the skies!"

The idea of commanding a fleet of flying ships was exhilarating beyond words. Arashi soon transformed into pure electricity, disappearing from the scene.

Moments later, he reappeared in the skies over Ohara, looking down at the island.

"Hmm?"

A look of surprise crossed his face as he flashed to the centre of the island, near the remnants of the Tree of Knowledge.

Amid the scorched earth and blackened ruins, a tender green sprout had emerged from the Tree's twisted roots.

A new life was blossoming amidst the ashes of destruction.

Arashi stood silently, his gaze fixed on the resilient sapling. For the first time, he felt the true magnificence of life itself.

A spark of inspiration crossed his mind like a bolt of lightning.

"This place… it's the perfect sanctuary for Ohara's scholars," he murmured.

In a land where even the ashes of ruin could nurture new growth, what couldn't be achieved? Still, openly rebuilding Ohara was an impossibility.

"What if I lifted this island into the sky?" Arashi mused aloud, glancing upward.

The idea of a floating island took hold in his mind, fueling his desire for the Float-Float Fruit.

Not for its combat power, but for the sheer potential of creating a hidden, airborne haven.

"Shiki!" he called out softly. "Where in the world are you now?"
