Kaido!!

As the dust settled, the massive figure standing before them could only be the Beast himself—Kaido of the Beasts.

In that moment, the atmosphere turned heavy, tense, and suffocating. Cold, piercing eyes locked onto the SWORD team, exerting tremendous pressure on them.

Rob Lucci and Kaku broke out in cold sweat almost instantly, their expressions grim. Koby and Helmeppo's faces twisted in fear.

Kaido of the Beasts!

Widely acknowledged as the strongest in a one-on-one fight, he's a man said to be invincible on land, sea, and air—a creature known as the strongest in the world.

In this era, aside from Edward Newgate, the Whitebeard now imprisoned in the depths of Impel Down, only Kaido remains.

His overwhelming reputation has spread across the globe and instilled deep fear even within the Marines. Though Whitebeard may have rivaled him in strength, Kaido held the edge in age and stamina, still in the prime of his life.

"Wo-ro-ro-ro-ro-ro~"

"Look at your Wano, Orochi. Without even noticing, a bunch of little rats have sneaked in."

Kaido's eyes were cold, but his words carried a mocking grin. Orochi stood among the crowd, fear and panic etched on his face as he looked at the intruders.

"Marines?!" he exclaimed. "Have the Marines set their sights on you, Kaido?!"

"You fool, it's not just me they're after, but you too," Kaido snarled. His gaze then swept across the group, settling on three elderly figures at the forefront.

"Now then, what's your purpose here?" he asked, his tone icy. "For three legendary Marine veterans to appear here… your reason better be good enough to impress me."

Sengoku, Garp, and Tsuru kept their expressions stern, calmly surveying their surroundings.

Though surprised by Kaido's appearance, none of them showed any signs of panic. These were seasoned warriors who had faced countless battles—Kaido alone wasn't enough to shake them.

"Just sightseeing, Kaido," Sengoku replied with a calm voice. "We're just old-timers on vacation. No need to get so worked up."

"Wo-ro-ro-ro-ro-ro!" Kaido burst out laughing. "Save that crap for the kids—you're not fooling me with such nonsense."

"Former Fleet Admiral Sengoku! Marine Hero Garp! Vice Admiral Tsuru!"

"Back in the day, you three were known as the Golden Trio—inseparable and unmatched. Now, you're all ancient geezers with one foot in the grave, and yet still sticking together. That kind of loyalty… it almost makes me jealous!"

Kaido shook his head as he mocked them, but then his expression hardened. "But even if you don't say it, I can guess the truth."

"You sneaked into Wano with a team of intelligence elites, trying to stay under the radar. For Marines to act like this? It's enough to make me laugh my head off."

The recent commotion had already driven the civilians into a panic, scattering them everywhere. Pirates and Orochi's samurai began closing in, surrounding the area.

Rob Lucci's eyes locked onto a figure in the crowd. "Fukuro!" Kaku and the others' eyes also changed, recognizing the familiar face.

"He joined Kaido's crew after leaving CP9?! No wonder we were discovered…" Their infiltration had been flawless—until now.

Who could've predicted that a former ally had joined the enemy?

"Hahaha, Kaido!" Garp laughed heartily.

"With all your pride and power, even you want to form alliances to deal with Arashi? Seems like that mighty exterior is just hiding a weak little heart."

"Arashi must've scared the hell out of you, huh?"

Cracking his fists together, Garp's eyes grew cold. They were surrounded—there was no retreat. Their only option was to fight their way out.

"Arashi?" Kaido narrowed his eyes at the name, a flash of seriousness crossing his face. But he quickly sneered.

"That Marine is interesting, I'll admit it. But if I take his head, my fame will reach even greater heights, and with you three here… the odds of that just got better." A chilling glint flickered in Kaido's eyes.

"You think we old men are easy prey?" Sengoku roared back. His body burst into golden light, expanding and transforming into the majestic form of the Golden Buddha.

Garp tore off his coat, his cold gaze fixed ahead. "It's been a long time since I fought seriously," he growled. "I hope you're as strong as the stories say, Kaido."

Beside them, Tsuru's eyes burned with fighting spirit, a faint smile playing on her lips.

"It's been years since I fought beside you two. This… brings back memories."

Rob Lucci, Kaku, Blueno, Koby, and the others ripped off their disguises, battle-ready.

"Three old men and a bunch of kids," Kaido sneered.

"I admire your guts." Then, his grin twisted into a snarl as he shouted, "Capture them!!"

He charged straight at Garp with terrifying speed. Garp bent his knees and leapt, swinging a powerful right fist.

"Raimei Hakke!"

"Galaxy Impact!"

Kaido's kanabo met Garp's fist mid-air, the shockwaves of their Haki clashing violently. Wind howled, and black-and-red lightning tore across the sky.

"I heard Arashi was your student," Kaido sneered. "Then let me see if the teacher lives up to the student."

Garp laughed heartily. "He's my proudest disciple—he's already surpassed me!"

Their clash forced them apart from the recoil. In the next instant, Sengoku soared through the air. Golden light blazed from his massive form as he brought down his palm.

"Shockwave!!"

Wuuummm—!

Even the air distorted. The ground caved in under the force. Kaido looked up calmly… until a streak of crimson flame surged between him and Sengoku. A long blade rose into the sky.

Boom!

The blade collided with the shockwave, dispersing it in a ring of force.

"King!!" Sengoku's eyes narrowed.

"If you want to harm our king, you'll have to go through me first," King said coldly.

At that moment, Kaido's forces charged in from every direction. Seeing this, Sengoku and Garp's expressions darkened.

They shouted together: "Kids! Do whatever it takes—get out of here and bring this intel back to Marine HQ!"

Without hesitation, they and Tsuru charged into the sea of enemies.

"Garp-sensei!!" Koby shouted desperately.

Rob Lucci's face was dark as he stared at Foz Vergo in the crowd. "Everyone, retreat!" he ordered. "Our mission now is to get this intel back to HQ—no matter the cost!"

Lucci was a man who strictly followed orders, which was exactly why Arashi had placed him in SWORD.

A team with someone like him was far more stable—and less likely to fall apart under pressure.

The SWORD team's eyes welled up as they watched the three elders charge into battle. A strange, powerful emotion filled their chests.

"Go!!" Rob Lucci roared.

They turned and ran. But even though it wasn't Kaido's full force, his pirates and samurai inflicted devastating losses.

Fifteen minutes later, Kaku was forced to stay behind. Ten minutes after that, Blueno was left behind as well.

Half an hour later, Koby and Helmeppo, coughing up blood, dragged down enemies by their legs to buy precious time for the others.

The scene deeply moved Lucci. No one would've expected that the weakest, least impressive members in training would show such bravery when it mattered most.

"I will get this intel back!!" He roared in his heart, adrenaline surging through his veins.

.....

Time passed.

Six hours later, everyone had either scattered or been captured. Rob Lucci was alone. Like a lone wolf, he moved cautiously, tirelessly pushing toward Wano's border.

Three days.

For three full days, he hid and evaded his pursuers. Finally, using only a wooden log, he escaped from Wano.

But as he looked out over the vast, unpredictable ocean, uncertainty clouded his gaze.

"How… can I send this intel back to Marine HQ?" Using a log to cross this storm-filled sea… was little more than a fool's dream, and that was only Wano's side of the story.

Meanwhile, in the outside world…

Tesoro's defection to the Marines gave the organization a massive boost. What was once a financial crisis was instantly relieved. Arashi wasted no time. He issued a string of new orders:

Upgrade all Marine weapons and equipment to a new generation. Begin mass production of modern warships."

"Manufacture Pacifistas at scale. Establish the new Marine Headquarters in the Kingdom of Dressrosa."

"From Dressrosa, expand outward to form a new Marine-controlled territory. Initial expansion plans cover thirteen islands."

When these directives reached the Admirals and Vice Admirals in the New World, they were shocked. It only took a moment for them to grasp Arashi's intention.

He aimed to establish a new Marine stronghold within the New World—an official Marine sphere of influence, one capable of standing toe-to-toe with the Yonko.

...

Time flew by. Half a month passed.

Construction of the new Marine HQ progressed smoothly. Arashi claimed the royal palace atop the King's Plateau as his base of operations.

Dressrosa, now covered in Marine presence, exuded safety and order at every corner.

In the new Marine office—

"So you're saying Doflamingo… didn't commit that many real crimes?" Arashi asked, clearly puzzled as he looked up at Fujitora.

He was surprised. The investigation into Doflamingo had been Fujitora's assignment, precisely because of the Admiral's strong sense of justice.

He would never show favoritism toward Doflamingo just because he acknowledged his strength.

Law is law, and personal feelings are personal. If a Marine Fleet Admiral couldn't distinguish between the two, that would be nothing short of foolish.

"Yes," Fujitora nodded. "He used violent means to overthrow King Riku and seized control of Dressrosa."

"However, the World Government had records of this on file. Somehow, he managed to gain their approval, though no one knows exactly how." Fujitora sighed as he spoke.

"Then what about the crimes he committed while ruling Dressrosa?" Arashi asked again.

"Unfortunately, we have very little solid evidence of any heinous acts," Fujitora replied.

"So far, the only allegations against him are illegal detention, illicit trading, and environmental pollution."

"That's it?" Arashi raised an eyebrow.

For someone like Doflamingo, who had both power and influence, crimes like illegal detention or pollution were minor at best, not even worth mentioning, let alone being called crimes.

"That's all we have," Fujitora confirmed with a nod.

"That bastard," Arashi muttered, a little surprised. He took the stack of documents Fujitora handed him and flipped through them carefully, page by page.

Soon, the picture became clear. After seizing control of Dressrosa, Doflamingo had governed rather effectively.

He had built a thriving economy and even trained several formidable young warriors.

In the end, Fujitora summed up Doflamingo with a single sentence: "On the outside, he's cold and ruthless, but it's hard to imagine the kindness and gentleness that may lie within."

Arashi scoffed at the statement. Kindness and gentleness in Doflamingo?

If the man showed restraint, it was only because something larger was holding him back. And it didn't take long for Arashi to figure out what that was.

With a faint smile on his lips, Arashi said calmly, "Let him be punished according to the crimes he has committed—nothing more, nothing less." He paused.

"That said, Doflamingo might still have his uses."

Fujitora gave a silent nod before turning to leave. Arashi slowly stood and looked toward the wall of the room where a large sea chart of the New World was pinned.

The unpredictable climate, the complex island landscapes—everything in the New World was chaotic.

"To take control of this new world..." he muttered, eyes flashing coldly, "...the Four Emperors are the biggest obstacles standing in my way."

He was ready to make a move against them, but careful planning was required. Unlike the war at Marineford, this time, the enemy had home advantage. The New World was their territory.

Half a month later, the doors to the office burst open.

Kuzan stood there, face grave. "We have a serious problem, Arashi!"

Arashi looked up, eyes locking with Kuzan's. For a Marine Admiral to speak with such urgency, it had to be something major.

"The SWORD unit in Wano was discovered by Kaido's forces a month ago," Kuzan said with a deep breath.

"And now?" Arashi asked. Kuzan's voice dropped, solemn and grim. "Their fate... is unknown."
